- I fell for a catchy rainbow title on an email and was thoroughly disappointed by the dress they were referring to. Instead of wallowing in it, (haha like its that important) I've decided to be inspired! I'm gonna see if I can come up with something that I like better.
We also bid farewell to wonderful rose colored pencil that's been with me for the long haul. ☠

When I was little I used to draw out seven people, and give them each their own color! It was always so fun to give them their own personalities based on just a color! This video inspired me so much! 🌈🌈🌈

The ball gown would be the dress at the end of a 90’s/ early 2000’s high school movie about the weird girl with glasses becoming prom queen, and all the kids who watched it would think that it was the most whimsical amazing dress and would be like “ you know that Dress from the end of ( insert generic Disney high school movie name here) ? Yeah that one, it’s my dream dress!”

Fun fact about the rainbow: indigo is actually not supposed to be in it, there are three primary colours and three secondary colours but the person writing the first(?) book on colour theory just liked the number 7 better and split up blue into blue and indigo:)

I like to consider indigo a part of the rainbow, if you look at a real-life rainbow you can kinda see a darker purple-ish color :3
I remember my elementary school art teacher told us that schools teach kids that indigo is a part the rainbow because it's easier for kids to pronounce/remember Roy G. Biv rather than Roy G. Bv. I remember she hated that indigo was included and very passionately taught us that it is NOT a part of the rainbow lol

I think they're all fantastic, with the beach one, I was thinking of a rainbow sarong, or a rainbow beach towel, or something similar wrapped around her. Or maybe even a rainbow life ring (or duck\swan floatation ring) but I still love her swimming costume!

I love this. The different styles and characters. They look like a family. The order, the first one is the younger sibling, they are casual and comfortable and still figuring themselves out, are kind of chaotic. the second is the stylish chic older sibling who enjoys fashion and the high life. The third is the middle child and they are the very fun bubbly kind of hipster. The last one is the parent, they have this mix between modern and old fashion. I introduce to you The Callahan family.

Man, I love your attitude. It makes ME happy, and I’m left asking myself “why don’t I watch more of her videos?” because that positivity-even when the drawing isn’t going “right” as you might want it-is still there. It feels carefree and happy, and that really rubs off on me, even if it’s “just a video”.

I think, while watching this, the ways to come up with outfits is to just write random ones down first. If you can’t think of any, look some up. They could be a mix of outfit themes (ballgown cowgirl, or something) or just one outfit theme. Experiment and find the one that matches. As for the colors for the outfits, look up color schemes for help. And one major MAJOR key....don’t try to be perfect. Nothing we do is perfect. Just have fun and appreciate the flaws. It’s what makes the drawing more special

When you were designing the overall dress I loved the little pocket. My brother breeds rabbits and baby bunnies fit perfectly in those pockets. Just a random fact I thought you might need.

I don't count indigo in the rainbow. Like, why would it be there? Without it there are 3 warm colors and 3 cool colors, there are 3 primary colors and 3 secondary colors, you mix red with yellow to get orange, you mix yellow with blue to get green, and you mix blue with red to get purple. Why is indigo there? Did someone just think it was a nice color so they threw it in there? Why did they suddenly decide to mix blue and purple and just add that in there? Why? WHY???

You could always add tattoos to designs that you feel may be too bare or have too much plain skin like the beachwear outfit! These are all so gorgeous and I can’t wait to see the rest!

The first person is a kid going to their first pride with friends and the whole group is just decked out in rainbow from head to toe, even the one straight friend of the group.
In their day to day life they also love wearing little rainbow accessories and clothes but they probably wouldn't wear all of them together like that. They're extremely excited about going to pride and they meet so many awesome people and they'll go home feeling euphoric from a day filled with so many people not just accepting but celebrating who they are. they'll walk away with the feeling that they have a space in life where they not only belong but are so welcome.
