- Had so much fun trying to figure out what to do with tese neon paint markers. In the end, i'm so happy with what I made. How would you use Neon colors? It can be hard to make something cohesive with essentially only neon colors, but i think I learned something new!

I am a certified neon lover. I’ve had neon hair. I do neon makeup. I draw with highlighters because they’re neon. My pencil case is neon, my clothes are neon. Everything is neon. Neon is my life. Neon is my one true love. If I could turn the world neon I would, if it wouldn’t give me migraines. If it doesn’t give me eye strain I don’t understand the point. There is nothing more beautiful than the neon rainbow against black. I love neon.

@@drawingwiffwaffles definitely! Neon pink, yellow (especially yellow) and green will always be the brightest, so those are the best for highlights or sections you want to stand out. Neon orange and red can get dark, but generally orange is brighter than the reds, so that’s a good transition colour between the reds and the yellows! The blues and the purples tend to vary a lot between being weirdly dark or super bright, I find that purple is often dark despite being bright. It has the saturation but not the hue, you know? So purple and blues are the best for shading, as well as often reds. Pairing them with black is great for high contrast, but the purple liner in the video is great because it helps the neons look less insanely harsh. That’s all my tips for now, it’s kinda all self intuitive? So if this was unneeded I’m sorry!!

That hermit crab is so cute. Love him. His name is Bob. And the cloudy, neon sunset was really pretty.
i love the sound the paint markers make when you shake it and the paint coming out of the nib is just perfection, so satisfying.☺️💜

Today my family suffered an unfortunate loss of our beloved tuxedo cat. She lived to an old age of 20 and before we had to put her down she had a whipped cream pet cup from Starbucks! I feel so sad, but I’m glad she’s relieved of her pain in heaven, playing with our old dog, Ray Ray.

Hey Waffles, I have just started my 114th sketchbook! I have been drawing forever pretty much, but my sketchbook addiction didn't really start to flourish until I was 11-12ish. I finish a sketchbook in about a week or two, and your videos help me when with inspiration, always! I have watched plenty of art yt but yours honestly is the most entertaining and helpful. I was distracted by how opaque it was where it had spattered on her hand lol.
I found the hermit crab idea hilarious because they’re so hard to draw since they have all of their little tiny spindly bits and all those legs 😂 “crab bits” as you called it haha. but you did a great job! just as someone who used to own hermit crabs I figured it would be quite a challenge haha
Oooh this looks really interesting! I don't tend to draw with neon too much because I find it harder to make everything cohesive, and I do a lot of animals so it's harder to include neons, but I might try it again while watching this!

This art style really reminds me of the neon, glow in the dark type animals in the movie Coco! The crab is also kinda giving the crab from Moana “shiny” vibes for some reason to me lol! Love the art!

I really like these scrawlrbox videos! I've never used a purple micron before but it looks so pretty and the final illustration is awesome
I had a blue, a red, a purple, a green, and a brown and I highly recommend. Adds a little something to your art for sure!

I've never used a Micron (purple or otherwise) but love the purple-ish (more on the reddish purple side) Copic multiliner that came with Waffles own (featured artist) Scrawlerbox, I think it's official shade was Wine, and that led to me buying their 4 pack of different sizes in both Lavender and Pink*. I don't know how they compare to Microns but I like them a little more than my Derwent Graphik liners. The Wine one has been a little more useful than the lavender & pink, it's a good substitute for when black would be just too harsh, but the different colours are fun to play with.

I *love* the hermit crab! I wish you would do more animals that are "less popular." Ideas could include possums, goats, sea cucumbers, eye-eyes... The world is full of strange things!

Highly recommend the Helix circle drawing tool. I use it all the time. You can draw circles without stabbing the paper.

I generally dislike neons myself, but that sunset came out great! Real sunsets can be incredibly vivid.

Neon is the best thing ever! Almost every drawing of mine has some highlights in neon :3
By the way, Rin, try to make a homemade dark light, it's very fun with neon drawings!
You can put a piece of transparent tape on the flashlight of your cellphone and paint this tape with permanent blue marker. 3 layers of tape + permanent blue marker and when you turn on the flashlight, the neon colors will reflect it, it's so dope!

I love drawing clouds because for me at least I don't care about what reality would be in terms of lighting, as long as it looks like a cloud in the shading I'm happy! Your clouds look beautiful, like I would hang that on my wall I love it so much!

I LOVE neon, this was a fun surprise. Great video!
On paint pens - I also just press and hold!! After my like 5th paint pen I was done with that 10-20 pumps . I feel like it damages the nib to do that also. So I started playing with holding it until it fills the tip. And - if you want a dry paint tip use it like normal, but if you need a thick juicy line, extra opacity or need to layer without scratching the the bottom, just depends the tip a bit until it like floods or runs the nib to have as much paint as you want. Sometimes it’s too much or splatters, but it’s helped me a lot to have a juicier paint flow when I need it

Around 11:00 you were lining the hermit crab and wondered if it should have more legs - the technical answer is yes but when you’re looking at the crab you don’t see all of them because he’s still hanging out in his shell, so you’ve still got a good number there 😊

Think that’s what they are google is misleading sowmtimes lol) cheetah binder brought back so much nostalgia, even made me remember how many of those folders and prints I had ! (Also made me remember ZooPals bc an image popped up with the other photos- yes the cute animal plates 😅 there’s a lot of nostalgia going on rn lol)
I have always love the whole animals in neon / pastel / a full rainbow of colors, always so fun to look at. Even for someone’s who’s style and art is mostly dark and horror😅, I still think that type of thing is rlly cute💕 !
