I love the “softer” drawing look so much. It makes it look almost realistic. The coloring is so smooth. The blue hair looks so good.

When I was going through the worst parts of my depression, I fell out of love with art. I came back to art content a few weeks ago and I’m so happy to see rin making videos that have that familiar,nostalgic feeling, while not making the same piece of art, bc I think it’s difficult to keep her level of creativity for so long, especially when it’s her job.
Like yes, character design is her thing but every character feels individualized and I love that. Watching these videos has honestly revamped my love for art again, and I may just pickup my sketchbook today.

I absolutely love when people use coloured pencils as line art for alcohol markers. It's one of my favourite things and I'm just generally a sucker for coloured lineart it just always looks amazing. I loved both styles but the first one has my heart
the second sketch reminds me of the streamer aimsey ! both are so good, i’m always so excited to watch you draw.
I love that even when the supplies cater to your comfort zone, you find ways to challenge yourself and get inspired by the featured artists. All the illustrations turned out great!

You’re like a comfort creator for me, your art is beautiful and pleasing to look at/watch being created.
I LOVE your art style with this combo of mixed media. Your feminine creations, floating stances, and round/soft lines are complimented so well with the pencil line work. And you don't press to hard with the colored pencils if you fill in with markers first like you did. Love it!💛
The end drawing is actually so cool! The eyes are so pretty!!

I love how most of your videos start with one thing, but you usually end up with something completely different. It makes the video interesting and helps me just sit through it instead of getting impatient and skipping through it. I'm always curious how you'll manage to end up at the thumbnail/title. I also love your soft nature and casual tone of voice. It really makes me feel as though I have this secret friend even though it's really one-sided haha. You always manage to cheer me up when I don't feel great and give me comfort. Your presence is like a warm hug.

Today I drew brides in beautiful dresses, and I gotta say: you HAVE to try this out it’s soooo much fun and you can do the most crazy colors and shapes, it brought so much joy!
I did notice the patchiness for the blue hair girl with parrot, but now it looks like her hair is a crystal, and I like it
I REALLY love how the pencil lineart ended up looking with your art style, especially the hair in the final portrait looks so beautiful! Low key hoping you'll experiment more with this technique, it looks stunning.
I am super busy working on a paper for uni but can't wait to watch this later! 💕 the best way to unwind is to do some sketching and watch a waffles video 😊

I loved this one so much. Your favorite was also mine! But the other one was so different and really good. I spent last weekend coloring with my Granddaughter. We took everything out on the patio out back and just had a ball! I always use as many colors as I can and she laughs at me. But we had so much fun. Again, thank you so much for these videos. They're not just entertaining, they teach. You teach. Please keep them coming. You are my favorite UA-camr. And considering how much I love the food ones, that's saying something!

I don't know why I never considered using colored pencils on top of markers before! I guess because I always assume the markers will be darker lol. I think I also might've missed whichever video you first mentioned it though I did watch that Upcrate video so I also might've seen and forgotten if it was in that one. Thanks for sharing these with us! I loved the softer look more as well although maybe if the fineliner version had the blue perhaps it would've been more appealing too... (though they were both great.) IDK but regardless the soft look was so good. I have to try that out! 😊
depending on what pencil you're using it can make a bunch of different effects. markers are ink and will soak into the page but pencils use wax and sit on top, so the color of the pencil doesn't matter that much when thinking about whether or not it will layer!
@@nexusstorm4790 That's a good point! I think it was less actual layering and more that I'm used to darker outlines so in my head I just didn't consider pale dyes and inks within markers even when I know they exist. What about pencils that are more oil based btw? I imagine they'd sit on top too, just thought I'd ask. :)
@@DoveJS I don't think I've actually tried those sadly, I'm not super experienced with colored pencil, sorry... that might be worth some googling though!

I love love love all three of your creations. It’s interesting how you can use the same supplies and get such different results!
Love how you leveraged the interaction between the materials, using the marker vehicle to manipulate the pencil instead of fighting it! Going back and forth between the two seemed to break up the contour lines and create volume where it might otherwise have given the impression of flatness. We thought these sketches were wonderful, and in our opinion, the animals were the stars of these drawings- that dog definitely looked like he was ready to take command of the situation, and the parrot was trying to hypnotize us!

I resonated with you so much when you said the booklets from video games.. cause I totally did that!! Like the small ps1 booklets lol great video as always!! 🤗🫶🏻
An idea which I think might be quite cool. Is if you chose a random colour (or a few) and then wrote words describing that colour as if u were describing it to someone who had never seen colour before. And then designing a character/ image based on the words you have written.
For example-
YELLOW: warm, summer, light, bright, etc…….
Then could draw a character who is very friendly and happy in a summer setting maybe wearing something bright and flowy. Maybe even a child.

Yay! One of my favorite subscription boxes! I quiet enjoy these boxes compared to the other ones, coz these have some practical stationary in it as opposed to just "some cute stuff" you can use only a few times. Btw, i love your art style!
