I live in Oakdale, Minnesota and this week it was colder than Antarctica (Minnesota:-65 Antarctica:-23). My brother got frostbite by standing outside for 3 minutes. It's crazy out here.

I'm from Pittsburgh and moved to South Carolina 5 years ago because I couldn't handle the winters up there. Now 50 degrees feels like a deep freeze to me. I think it's safe to say I'll never hack a minnesota winter!
My brother moved from Erie to Minnesota about 8 years ago. He actually told me the other day that he would rather deal with a lake-effect snow storm than the below-zero temperatures he gets.
Although in all fairness to my lovable brother, 65° to him is "freezing". Lol. 😂
Strangely as someone who grew up there, I watch this with pride. "Yep, that is my Minnesota!"
This might very well surpass the Winter of 1982. At that time, there were some 62 continuous days where the temperatures never got above the freezing point. Minnesnowta: Land of 10,000 Flakes.

Yesterday is was -70 Degrees with windchill in Crookston MN
Here in Kentucky, on Halloween it's supposed to be 40 for a high, 24 for a low, rainy, and wind chills in the day at 24 and night feeling like 19.

🥶🥶 It's -30° here in Cincinnati, Ohio, but that's *with* the wind chill. I took my dog outside this morning and was out less than 6 mins and my fingers were already hurting.... A lot. News said that frost bite can occur in under 30 mins to any exposed skin today. I couldnt even imagine it being -30° *without* the wind chill! 🥶🥶

I grew up in the north suburbs. Stay warm and drink a lot of hot cocoa. It's a nice time to stay warm while ice fishing.

I grew up there. We get this every winter but it's a cold spell, not every day.
All I can think of is all the ppl who have to be outside 24/7. The homeless. I am extremely upset, as I used to be homeless.

This shyt ain't no joke..they ain't lying about the tear ducts😬....as soon as that air hits your eyeballs, its an instant headache.
Folks just don't have any idea the difference in freezing temperatures in the south versus the north....35' degrees is freezing for the south....that feels like spring in the north...even temperatures that drop into the teens in the south are nothing like it up north..
