- Ever wonder about online PhD and Doctorate Programs? Something that is very hard to find, especially for tech majors such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data Science, and so on. Usually it's just for-profit schools and lackluster reputation universities offering these types of programs but I have found 5 great programs from great colleges for you!
I think Online PhD's and Online Doctorate's are the future! Just like I thought Bachelor's and Master's Degrees were the future 15 years ago, and even though online degrees had so much stigma around 2009, they did eventually become very popular, very main stream, and very acceptable. The same will happen at the PhD | Doctorate level.
In this video I go over multiple degrees including from colleges such as University of Arizona Online and University of the Cumberlands.
Check out my website below to get a tech Bachelor's Degree in one year or less, from a non-profit, regionally accredited university of your choice.

Thanks for the support!!
Correction, John Connor not James Conner! I had James Conner on my fantasy football team and I think my brain just recalled the most recent J. Conner in my memory.
That is so relatable.
This is a super cool topic! I certainly think there is a market for this type of thing in tech. It'll be super interesting to hear how many scholars pursue these degrees in any given year once they become more common.
Great Video! Im doing my Doctor of Technology at Purdue. I would say it's worth a mention in your future vids
How is it?
I'm starting my PhD program this year online, its non-profit and regionally accredited i’m going for doctor of philosophy in education. I have two master's degree my last one from NYU. I am a teacher and I like the flexibility of online while I can still teach.
Thanks Alex! Awesome video. Can you do another video on the top 5 for CyberSecurity/Information Security Online Masters degrees?
In the UK alot of universities are investing in Dprofs to compete with online schools, Liverpool does a Dprof in Health but you still need to attend so many days a year in person. I think I next 5 years a big percentage of Dprofs will be completely online
Mr. Alex Sheppe, if no one has a PhD in the field, who will teach you the classes and what are the credentials that will apply to justify the evaluation of your PhD program...?!. Thank You for sharing.
I’m not sure I understand?
@@alexsheppe I am sorry, I was looking at your video when I was writing my question to you. The question is: Universities professors must have a PhD in the field they are planning to teach students at the PhD level. If nowadays nobody has a PhD in Artificial Intelligence or CyberSecurity, what would be the university's credentials or estrategies to provide a PhD in these new emerging technologies when they don't have any professor that hold a PhD in CyberSecurity or AI?. Thanks, I already figure out the answer
@santiagojuliao3695 I would assume the same as every new degree. Every degree was new at one point. As of right now I’d imagine someone with a Computer Science PhD with extensive coursework or work experience in Cybersecurity or AI would teach those PhD’s until more Cybersecurity and AI PhDs grads come to fruition.
@@alexsheppe Yes, I got it...Thanks!
Im getting my D.Eng at GWU for AI/ML. Im in the research phase.
How is it?
It's not too bad. I come from a math and coding background, so I thought the classroom phase was easy, but how easy your research phase is incumbent upon the research you decide to pursue. My dumbass picked trying to integrate multimodal Large Language Models with object detection models.
@yoyo-ue5pf Interesting! Overall I’m always curious how challenging a Doctorate is. Sounds pretty challenging.
I’m just curious…How many degrees do you have?
Bachelor’s in Computer Science. Although I plan to add a Master’s in Computer Science soon.
Best of luck to you! Your videos have been extremely helpful man! God bless!
My ex wife got offended that I would go to wgu for a masters. Freaking people sometimes
Yikes
Something's telling me these programs are desperate cash grab.
