Scab!!! I am glad you are enjoying it! I knew you were the guy for this blade! I love that blade shape myself! Yeah I did put a better 20 degree edge on it before sending it out to you. The batoning was really easy with it. Kinda was not expecting that! Enjoy that blade brother and give Megatron my best wishes for her!
Hey brother stupid UA-cam just posted this comment.. I absolutely love this damn thing!! Thank you so much!!!
Thanks for the tag & link on this!! You did a great job showing the capabilities of this blade!! Thanks for sharing!!
Brother I appreciate that very much!! I enjoyed your video man people need to watch it for sure
I've had the Prodigy for years and just picked up the Strongarm! And it's an absolutely GREAT KNIFE too!!! It's no secret why it's liked so much, the damn knife's a home run! Tough as nails, easy to sharpen and maintain... It's an excellent knife! Excellent video here too Scab!!!
Love my Strongarm. It's practically bomb proof.
Man I love this thing!!
After seeing your demonstration my thoughts now are I definitely must have gotten a poor heat treated strongarm . My strongarms blade edge chipped in multiple spots from cutting industrial heavy plastic zip ties. When I receive the warranty replacement I’m definitely going to do the same cutting chores with it but I do believe the first one was just a fluke. I try to always give a blade a second try especially when it’s warranted. Great video as always take care and God bless
Brother it is highly possible when I do these you see maybe a quarter of it and I pretty much beat the hell out of this thing just to see what it had. The one I had before this I chopped a 4x4 into and I mean I banged it no damage so I'm really really curious to see how your second one does please keep me posted.
Believe it or not cutting zip ties is way harder on a knife edge than batoning or even chopping into wood.
Good job with the knife. Definitely a solid knife. Used one once and was impressed. Looking forward to seeing what mods you do. Take care from US vets. 🇺🇸
Much love and respect your way brother absolutely appreciate you!!
Excellent video. I have one but don't use it much. Your review was spot on.
Brother I appreciate that a ton. I'll be honest with you I think this is a phenomenal backpack or backup knife. To me it's good to have around May not be your primary but it's good to be there
I’ve been thinking of getting a serrated one for my birthday. Either this or a MK II or Infantry Gerber knife and start going back on the trails. Looks like the strong arm definitely holds up!
Never heard of Knifetime Story or Big J. Will check them out. 🙂
I think you would like both
Thanks for sharing about this tough little fixed blade by Gerber, I enjoyed your take on it. I agree 420HC can be half decent when done correctly. 👍Take care and Cheers!
Thank you my brother! Really appreciate the support!
The problem with the fake ones is you don't know until you get the damn thing.
Hey Scab, the Strong Arm looks like a well designed all-purpose type knife. Good blade size and shape. I have never used a Strong Arm but certainly there are plenty of good reviews on them. Hope your up coming week is great brother 🇺🇸 🇳🇿
I think this is definitely a multi-purpose multi-use knife! And it's a good size I believe for hunters fisherman outdoorsman etc. There's always a tactical element to these style knives, however, I really think this thing can be adapted to any situation. I put a couple of videos in the description check them out The guy did an amazing job on the modifications
Awesome channel love your reviews
I'm greatly appreciative man!!
awesome review my Brother i love your Reviews Brother allways will..the strong arm is a good knife..much love to you and Megatron
My Shtf zombie apocalypse knife. Tuff as nails my favorite knife 🗡️. ✝️🇺🇸✝️
Yesssssirr
Do you think this knife would also be good for combat?
What is the hrc on this knife seems hold edge pretty good
Took a prodigy (Similar to the strongarm) to colombia on an exercise. Man that thing came in handy batoning and skinning, for a budget blade from the Px, it kicked ass. Those gerbers are gtg! Semper Fidelis!
Outstanding man I'm going to try to get my hands on a prodigy maybe this week If not maybe the end of the week and see if I can run a little series on them
I really like the Strongarm!
It was my bug out bag knife until today.
I finally pulled my BK2 out and put it head to head with the Ontario Rat. Spent 4 1/2 hours cutting , chopping , cutting down trees etc etc!
I’m pooped!
The BK2 is going in my Bug Out bag along with my Mora Bushcraft!
That BK2 surprised the crap outta me!
😢
It smoked the 7 inch blade on the Ontario with a baton!
The BK2 is more like a splitting wedge.
Still love the Strongarm, but it is no longer my #1 life or death blade!
Brother the BK-2 is a monster I love mine Love mine!!
@@choirboyzcutleryoutdoors
My Strongarm is one I’ve actually used for several years for camping and Bugout stuff! It’s never failed and best of all easy Peasy to sharpen!
That handle almost look like snakeskin. Why does that knife look like or looks similar to a Cold Steel knife to me? Also, I seen a Gerber knife on UA-cam that has a coffin handle and I wish I had one, but I think it is discounted. Great review Scab and have a nice night.
Good all around knife ,thanks for sharing, God bless brother ! #22aday #22adaynomore
I'm definitely digging it!
Nice works great! Great looking knife To!
Thank you so much my brother!!! I absolutely do like it
It s a good knife . Y am one new suscriptor from Uruguay. Miguel
Thank you my friend!
❤hello again scab, what do think of the strongarm,I finally got one but in bdz-1 steel,an man I just love this thing, wished they had produced more than 2,000,I love the grey color, stone wash finish on the blade as well, still super sharp,I keep it with me on my side an sometimes scout carry so I always have a fixed blade with me always in case if I ever need it an for general purposes use
I absolutely love it man a solid design that's multi functional.. can not go wrong
@@choirboyzcutleryoutdoors , awesome,ty for your input an time for your video review,I love mine since I've had it,I'm wanting to get the Gerber principle next to carry with me when I'm at work since it's a smaller concealeable fixed blade
@@kennywheelus6857 absolutely brother I appreciate you including me
@@choirboyzcutleryoutdoors ,yes sir no problem,I appreciate your what you do an like your videos an love for knives as much as I do
Good survival knife. Use it for years. It's not for bushcraft but can handle it.
Great video!
Thank you Babes ❤️
🤘🤘
It's a good knife for a good price and a good knife design. Have a good week Brother. I'm still gambling on Survive knives I am now weighing on 4 knives from them and hope I get them before I kick the bucket.
Dude I was wondering about that. I really really really hope they get their s*** together. One so you will get your knives but two I think they really make awesome
Knives.. and three so everybody will quit commenting on that video I did on them how they're getting screwed over lol
@@choirboyzcutleryoutdoors ya he had avid out on knives that won't have long wait times so I ordered another one will see.ill keep you up to date
@@JR-5465 sounds good brother If he gets them to you quickly and we see a difference I'll definitely do a support video because there's very few knives I've tested that we're as good as that one
I always say this is gonna be the Apocalypse knife or the reliable knife you have on you. Mostly because it's durable, a jack of all spades and no one is afraid to use this knife. You could always have it in your bag or car as a backup. It's definitely a utility knife.
Totally agree. And it's a pretty damn good little knife
Do you think this knife would also be good for combat?
@@James777921 I think it is a very versatile knife. And while there are probably better options Yes I believe you could use this as a combat knife for sure
I tell you what… I picked up the Wally World exclusive Gerber Prodigy.. great knife. Think I got it for maybe 40 bucks. Very similar specs to the Strongarm.
I'm going to pick one up this week and do a review on it I've heard a couple good things about it
I’d be willing to let you review mine if you’d like buddy.
@@ronnie_r3bel839 Man I appreciate that but let me pick one up because I've got a couple I'm trying to get done and I don't want to hold on to anything too long if that makes sense. But I greatly appreciate the offer
No problem my guy. I understand 100%. To be honest I’d recommend you pick one up just to have. For the money…tough to beat it. I think blade hq had them for 30 bucks. I retract my statement on it being a Walmart exclusive.
@@ronnie_r3bel839 hey not a problem man I'm going to look it up when I get home and see if I can get one in pretty quick
Hey brother and sister another great video. Thank you for sharing stay safe and God Bless much love and respect always. 22 A Day Nomore. LEOs never quit quitting
Thank you so much my sister much love respect and appreciation to you and go DAWGS!!!
Do you love nerve damage? lol I hope you don't have nerve pain like me though. Gerber has some good stuff. I have a Gerber slipjoint, sharp as shit. The one you have looks pretty good. I am interested to see what you do with it. Excellent video my friend.
Most appreciative my brother. Honestly man I don't suffer a lot of pain I just have spots that I can't feel a damn thing. So I think I'm pretty fortunate there
It's similar to a knife I own, bro!
It's sad to know that in my country.. it's impossible to buy because of the price 😑
It really is!
I have one in black. I’ve used it in everything from field utility applications to food prep. The thing is unbeatable as far as its strength and versatility.
Not the sexiest knife out there but boys believe me, when it’s raining, cold, youre losing your light, and you need to get a fire going,, this thing will not let you down.
One piece of advice is to take a bit of brightly colored paracord and secure it to the knife so that you can find it after laying it down on the ground.
Yeah that is a very good suggestion this is one that can get lost in a hurry
👍
Thank you por suscribirte
😂😂😂 I love it scab throwing it up and hitting it 😅for real man it’s made to cut.
Absolute facts brother!!!
Yeah, but nobody does it like you son. Good review
I am humbled and honored sir Thank you very much!
Gerber has the heat treatment on 420HC down to a science.
That is an absolute fact man!
Scab would you ever do a video of knife recomdations fixed blades for us Trade Folks were so overlooked until people need us it's sad to say.
Yuppers I'll get one out tonight
Thank you Sir for Thinking of us were not Leo or all Military but sometimes we need to know we matter.
Buddy I work 60 hours a week sandblasting and powder coating trust me I know where you're coming from
Love the Strongarm, hate the sheath. Mine always comes un snapped bumping into things so it just slips off my belt. I really need to get a nice leather sheath for it. I've made a few with mixed results, not the best leather crafter in the world...
Dude I hate the sheath.. That's why I didn't even mention it
Stripped my sheaths down to the bone ...after the first time it came unsnapped I sewed it down above and below the snap...no worries now. I have two non serrated EDC, one day black ...one day desert tan, love 'em.
I like your no bullshit way of telling it like it is 👍🏻
I appreciate that brother 🙏 thank you for the support man!
@@choirboyzcutleryoutdoors welcome always, enjoy your day
Love this knife 🔪👍
It has really really grown on me
Wow......haven't heard of Gerber for a while.....
NOOICE. 😎
This is a favorite of buying as far as like a backpack or a kayaking style trip I love this thing
Survival on purpose has some good videos on the strongarm, prodigy and LMF 2
Yes he does so does Gideon's tactical and DBK and everybody else on here lol they're really are some really good videos out there survival on purpose is actually one of my favorites Brian is a good dude and pretty damn knowledgeable
My wife saw me try to cut rope. Well 2 moras are on order now!
Love it
This is a Classic Fixed Blade.. Ive come so close to pulling the trigger on one of these, I wound up with the A-06 Auto intead.. thats one I can carry as opposed to the strong Arm which is too big for P*ssy NY laws.. 4" Blade is the law in NY and Id look sill walking arouind the office with a big ole knife on my hip.. Great Great knife for under $100 !! ima grab one!
I'm a fan of it man I'm a bigger fan of living in Florida lol I can carry what I want. The thing about it is man it's a classic just straight up classic and it holds up
@@choirboyzcutleryoutdoors Absolutely!! My wife and I arent much longer in NY.. Cuz Ill have a .45 on my hip as well.. Colt Gold cup ACP. (my Dads)
A knife I would ( have ) recommend to others but wouldn't buy myself :)
Honestly that makes 100% sense to me
That whole family of knives were great
Absolutely 💯 Percent brother 🙏🙏
I looked at it several times, but never bought it. I'm not so much a fixed blade guy, have a few, but rarely carry them. Usualy whem I'm buying a fixed blade, it's a fighting knife. Purely for collection and historical significance of it. Long story short. I like it, but wouldn't buy it 😅
Makes sense to me man!
Love knife time story, his channel is awesome, he gets a little out of control with that dremel tool though lol, seems like he dremels something off every single knife he has lol.
A man's Dremel is an important thing!!
@@choirboyzcutleryoutdoors Very True lol
If I can't stick it in a stump and shoot it with a thirty naught six without it breaking its just a fairly good knife..
Bought mine from Gerber today.
Great pick up
Gerber has some good stuff and some cheap stuff❤✌🏻🙏🏼🇨🇦
Absolute facts on both accounts brother
Is it really worth 2x the price of a Cold Steel SRK?
That's up to you man I can't answer that for you I have both
Heck yeah, one more won't hurt. Take care
Thank you so much Ms Tressa! I hope you're having a great weekend!!
Gerber, very Underestimated brand brother, but the truth is, gerber, herbertz, Walter knives al good descent, affordable knives. (And like we both, and al are brothers know in the community, chopping up a car/truck, use it as a pribar to crack a safe.... That aint working, with expensive or affordable blades)😊😊😊
These are facts my brother straight facts
I've steared away from Gerber because their newer stuff has a bad reputation. Kind of like ZT and Kershaw, there is a bit of the glory days gone by. Should probably pick one up to see for myself.
I always see for myself thats something I will never trust to anybody else man.. Most of the ZT stuff is based on a fake after that I just decided if I like it I like it. But now this one might be a little older too so I'm not sure go with your gut
Tactical sheath is nice!
They do a great job
@@choirboyzcutleryoutdoors Folder knive iI can keep on pocket , but for normal need space an sheath. Currently I found best Boker + africaneer.
@@arturspipins7385 Nice!
Strong arm a beast but I 50 50 on whether I like looks of it or not hahaha
Strongarm is Always on my belt
Great Carry brother!
Allot of people love this knife. I was always iffy about it.
I think a lot of people love to love this knife and use it as a backup if that makes sense
Yah I need some brass knuckles, cause I'll break my knuckles, 😂😂
I got some they work perfectly
@@choirboyzcutleryoutdoors I imagine, leaning Haymaker
I agree, single guard all day!
YESSSSSIRR
i like that Gerber
А где вообще ты узнал про майксго? я просто вот только с твоих роликов узнал про этот сайтик))
Not worth the price as is. The sheath quality and stitching is very poor of late. The steel needs improving. 14c28n or cpm154. Good affordable steels that are tough.
Probably because there's a bunch of fakes out there That's probably the problem
I just got rooked on a fake a few weeks back
Damn it man
@@choirboyzcutleryoutdoors I searched and found his video and it won't happen again
I knew when I opened it

That's all we needed I think I completed it
I pass on these. They're ok but over priced in my opinion. Morakniv and Tramontina have my outdoor needs covered.
Have you ever heard of inflation?
@@Killa91115 Yes. And I 've heard of overpriced. Other brands do it better in my opinion, and for less expense. The other brands are subject to the laws of economics too, yet they still cost less and satisfy me with their performance. I'm on the consumer end, not the macroeconomic side🤪

You sir are appreciated
What I like about this knife is that it leans in the direction of a sharp tool. My background is commercial roofing, framing and remodeling. Therefore I would use a knife like a tool, due to my learned skills. All of my tools in my tool belt have more than one use. If I need better slicer I can bust out the buck 110. Good review thank you.
I agree 100% I appreciate the input! Thank you for checking it out!
Watch JoeX destroy a strongarm along with knives three times the cost.
