I feel your story SO MUCH. I just completed my engineering degree in May. My program required you take a progress assessment before you can enter your final semester of senior design. I took it 3x and didn't pass it. I had to jump through hoops to take it again this past spring. If I failed then I couldn't graduate. My grandmother randomly died in late January. I couldn't begin my job search because I didn't know if I was graduating. My bf at the time was neglectful, in & out of the hospital, and dealing with the death of his best friend. I was DYING on the inside omg. Graduation was May 5, I didn't even know if I passed the test until about 8 p.m. April 30. Thankfully I passed and got my degree 🙌🏾 Between taking in all of the obstacles I've faced over my college years (there were PLENTY), breaking up with my bf, and mourning my grandmother still it's been an emotional summer. I've barely been functional (or eating 😅) for half of it. But one thing I've learned is that you have to take care of yourself. Waiting on someone else to do it for you can leave you feeling out in the cold. Apologies for the long paragraphs. I've just been through it too 🧡I'm glad you're back & boo'd up though. I follow you on IG so I've been up to date with ya.

Praise the Lord for passing your Step1 exam --He is good! You know sometimes we don't want to make decisions that cause for us to postpone or slow things down, but it pays to do so. Like in your case, for example, you were able to put more time into studying and growing your confidence in the midst and it paid off! I pray the love of the Father would continue to be with you as you partake in your endeavors and that He would continue to strengthen you with the grace you need to finish medical school. I really don't know how people study making diagrams and charts I prefer reading normally and it sticks if I forget I'll go read again after 2-3 times it cements. But everyone has their study methods my advice for anyone taking step 1 is find what is best for you, what might work for Mr A might not work for Mr B. I'm so happy for you Brittany your hard work paid off.

You and I are alot alike in so many ways especially when it comes to studying and taking exams. I was the exact same way in Pharmacy school, I would have to take a lot of time studying to be able to pass my exams as well. Its so worth it to cut out the outside noise and be able to focus. I am so happy and proud of you. You are truly an inspiration. Also have you heard about the high mortality rate amongst African American women as of late? That is a hot topic as well.
It's crazy, I did so much research about the HSPS before going enlisted active duty but I decided that I wanted to get a feel for the enlisted side before being sure I wanted to commit to a longer term on the officer side.

It's crazy, I did so much research about the HSPS before going enlisted active duty but I decided that I wanted to get a feel for the enlisted side before being sure I wanted to commit to a longer term on the officer side.
