- Logic gates are the basic building blocks of any digital system. It is an electronic circuit having one or more than one input and only one output. The relationship between the input and the output is based on a certain logic. Based on this, logic gates are named as AND gate, OR gate, NOT gate etc
OR GATE::
A HIGH output (1) results if one or both the inputs to the gate are HIGH (1). If neither input is high, a LOW output (0) results. In another sense, the function of OR effectively finds the maximum between two binary digits, just as the complementary AND function finds the minimum.
SCHEMETIC-- In this section of video you will learn Logic symbol, Truth table of an OR gate. Circuit of OR gate using DIODE TRANSISTOR LOGIC is given.
SIMULATION --In this section simulation of the OR Gate circuit is done using DTL. App used for simulation is "EVERY CIRCUIT" link is given below:
Working of the circuit in accordance with the truth table is also explained using simulation.
MAKING THE CIRCUIT-- For building OR gate circuit components used are:
1. BREADBOARD for connection.
2.1k resistor
3.100 ohm resistor.
4. 1N4007 DIODE(2 pieces).
5.LED
6. 9 VOLT BATTERY

What would you do if you want to add a buzzer? What would you change in order to have the LED and buzzer as one outcome? Great video, thank you
Just replace led + resistor with the buzzer..but remember buzzer can have polarity like any Led.
If you want both led and buzzer in your circuit..then connect buzzer in parallel to resistor+led

I copied the or gate circuit exactly onto the breadboard board but the bulb does not light instead it turns on dimly for a sec and then nothing please help

Hello sir,i had made this circuit on pcb but the truth table is not getting verified. What can be the problem?
1. Check LED
2. Check battery terminal connections
3. Replace resistor with lower one
I have already checked first two. The led is glowing on applying battery i.e getting output at A=0 and B=0.

Sir why do we use resistor here before LED
Without the resistor, there is no resistance in the circuit, so high current will flow. With the resistor, there is a voltage drop across the resistor and the current is limited. This is done so the circuit components don't break due to high current.

Bro I got small doubt . I am a school guy. Here 0 and 1 means half and full wave of a alternating current or not?
No! Here 0 means 0 volts and 1 means 9 volts.
Ok it means bread board deals with voltage and related to current . At anode(VCC) the voltage is high and at cathode ( ground) the voltage is low.
Bro another doubt that is if we take to input wires A and B . Given A to VCC and B to ground . Means what how electrons pass through A And B . Please clarify my doubt
There is no way for electrons to pass, as the circuit is incomplete.
One end of wire A is at battery's 9 volts but other end is no where.
Similarly for wire B, one end is at 0 volts(Gnd) of battery but other end is no where
