Wtf! Ignoring the red light and not getting all the fault is the most ridiculous I have ever heard. Even if the audi was speeding shouldn't matter because if the tesla didn't run red nothing would have happened 😂
I feel like the cammer has to be lying because they are embarrassed
He is full of crap. I am willing to bet he is lying to make himself look a little less stupid. He was prolly found fully at fault.
You are making too much sense!
Agreed! Me n my husband got into an accident due to a stop sign being covered by a tree. The kid who hit us was doing 55 in a 30 n admitted to saying "fuck it" in his head
He even admitted fault for hitting us knowing that stop sign was covered n we were found 100% at fault, I understand why tho
How the F was the Audi in any way responsible for the Tesla running a red light 'accidentally'? Doesn'r matter if the Audi was speeding a bit, when the Tesla literally ran a red light and is 100% at fault. The accident would have still happened if the Audi was doing the speed limit. And, how exactly was it determined that the Audi was speeding? Yeah, Tesla was 100% at fault. And how do you 'accidentally' run a red light? Inattention, that's how.
running a red light then sending it to be published online is just crazy
Well, it wasn't his fault according to the insurance company, it happened because of speeding.
Owning up to a mistake is commendable. Now, driving with *50* over the limit - THAT's crazy. 😉👀
@@em0_tion
Agree, I applaud the guy for actually sharing a video of an accident he caused. Also, 15 mph over the speed limit, not 50 mph.
@@AFTER_MIDNITEHow would they even know how fast the guy was going?

The computer on modern cars that controls all the electronics. There would also be a record from the infotainment screens GPS mapping. And if nothing else, in a serious accident where someone died, they’d just get their phone records, which would likely have GPS tracking in the background for different apps.
You car argue whatever you want but running the red light causing the accident and not being 100% at fault is real bad for the audi driver
Yeah, that's messed up. How did they even know he was speeding.
That is crazy, someone runs red light and you are at fault...
@@MrSteroron board car computer.....
easy, people can check your cars data and determine how fast you were going, plus the impact on the side shows he was clearly speeding. the reason both were at fault is because the other drive could of avoided this too if he was maintaining a safe speed.@@MrSteror
not crazy at all. speed even 15 mph over the limit can make a wreck MUCH worse . just think about it like this, if he was going the speed limit or under the whole wreck would of been avoided. granted running a red light puts majority on you@@lietuvis96
In the last clip, Gary is my hero. I can’t express enough how much I appreciated him going after the hit and run driver, and I wasn’t even involved in the wreck. Nice going Gary. Way to be a helpful, concerned human. ❤
He didn't even have to pursue her very far at all before she stopped. I was surprised by that.
I'm always amazed how people (mainly in the US) appear to not slow down at intersection, fail to interpret all signs something could go wrong, and still get a payout by their insurance provider as they're deemed not at fault. how?!
I was driving with a coworker who recently moved from India, he was surprised that we don’t slow down for green lights just in case. Where I live red light runners are not a problem, but I know what can vary significantly city to city.
I think it’s the way you can turn right on red: people don’t treat red as “you must always stop”. And it means that even when you have a green light, there’s always the risk someone will pull out in front of-even when you are doing 60 mph a pickup towing a horse trailer will still lurch out….
If you have full coverage, you are insured against not just the errors of others, but also your errors. That's what (full coverage) insurance is for!
I know they sort of get used to them but why are the lights so far above the driver's eyeline?
It's almost as if they catena their cables overhead because they hold money in higher esteem than human life.
That couldn't be true could it?
@@yardgrid they give you good forward warning. But notice also they are usually after the junction, rather than before
Clearly in the first clip the Tesla driver is at fault. I don't know they tried to blow past a Red Light. That is a traffic violation.
I've watched the clip several times and I have a possible explanation.
You approach the intersection on a curve. The red lights are only straight ahead in the final seconds.
Two green arrows are showing. Seeing those green lights might make you think you are clear to go.
The red lights are high up and might be hidden by the roof line at the late stage.
There are a set of red lights at the next intersection which are more clearly in line of sight.
These combined with possible tiredness after work could lead you to "running the red" at this location.
So is the other driver so basically they are both at fault.
I called 911 once to report a drunk driver. This guy was really messed up and I'm amazed I didn't see an accident and someone later that night in a similar car was in a serious fatal accident, though I'm not positive it was the same guy. Spent over 10 minutes waiting for a 911 operator and most of that was morbid curiosity imagining if someone was dying in front of me.
2:22 wow, crazy crash unfolding right infront of Hung and all other cars slowed down to a stop but Hung kept going? I'm surprised Hung didn't get hit too.
Dude didn't even slow down to see if the guy was okay. It's wild how many people have a fuck them mentality. I was raised if you see someone on the side of the road you stop and help them
@@coltonwilhite8910 This person also put his own and countless lives at risk by speeding through traffic, so yeah I'd have a "fuck them mentality".
This camera didn't care at all for the other. I know the Nissan was a stupid dumbass but come on. Be a decent human being when it matters

@@coltonwilhite8910To be honest if you're racing on with innocents on the road down excep others to save you

Not necessarily. It's possible chris' mind went blank after seeing the red light. It has happened before to others where they don't process that it's a red light after being used to seeing such a thing for so long.
@@pryo6382 understandable but it’s still on you to make sure you’re able to drive and because he didn’t he’s paying for someone else’s new car🤷♀️ there no excuses for cars crashing besides things that are out of the operators control like mechanical failure or surprise medical issues driving is seen as a right these days and it kills thousands of people everyday
@@amberk119 Sure but you can still absolutely accidently run a red. Doesnt mean you get off with a whoopsy as you are still 100% responsible but doesnt mean its intentional either.
@@Vampyrr Obviously in this case he wasn't 100% at fault because somehow the accident was caused by going 15 mph over the speed limit through a green light, and not by running a red light.
I did it once. I was stopped at an intersection waiting for the light to turn. Just ahead was another intersection with another red light. After what seemed an inordinately long time the light turned green and I went. As I passed through the intersection I realized it was the second intersection's light that had turned green, mine was still red. Fortunately there was no cross traffic.
How do you get put on hold by a dispatcher? I don’t know if they’re even allowed to do that!
i thought thats why we had a non emergency and emergency numbers...
but there have been dispatchers who have not taken people seriously which ended up in the calling party in great harm if not death...
Lol "hold that emergency and enjoy this waiting room music”
yes, they can put you on hold and often calls will drop. had a lady fall at a farmers market and break her ankle and leg bone. took 15 minutes and 3 separate calls to 911 (calls kept dropping) to get the info thorough to the dispatcher. if someone is kicking your door in at night, the police will not be there for a very long time so you better be prepared.
New York City is known for this. I’ve never lived anywhere that 911 didn’t answer on the first or second ring. Just crazy and another reason why you should have a gun in case you need it.
@@freeflymonkey on a a brighter note: means the police won’t shoot you. The UK docuseries “ambulance” gives a bleak view of emergency services here; it comes down to “you have be about to die but probably saveable” to get priority
Arun's brain forgot that it had a reaction time
I enjoy watching these videos and have learned 2 things here about Teslas. 1) they are very safe automobiles. 2) don't ever have an accident in one because they take forever to be repaired and cost an arm and a leg to repair them!
Well - better your car be hurt than you...
3) And Tesla drivers are terrible drivers, hence probably why they want a car that can drive for them.
In clip #7 it said that it took 7 months to repair. Not sure what his monthly payment is but, that is just money flushed down the toilet because he is paying for a car that he can't drive. That is ridiculous!! When is Tesla going to step up their game and address this issue??
@@baddriversandcarstuff2855
Careful, don’t criticize Tesla, the channel owner might delete your comment like he apparently did to mine for criticizing the driving skills of Tesla owners in this thread. Repeat after me: “Tesla’s are the best cars in the world, and Tesla owners are the best drivers in the world.”
@@AFTER_MIDNITE They can delete it if they want but, I still won't buy a Tesla till they get the repair cost and repair time to a reasonable amount.
In London we seen a Tesla run a red light then stopped at the crossing in the road😂
I was in an accident last week, and the person I hit didn't have headlights on in the rain after sunset in a Grey car, they still said it's still half my fault for not yielding to a car I didn't know was there, but I didn't run a light and act like it's not my fault.
It’s possible the guy lied and he was sole 100% responsible for the accident… or crash he caused
MY HEAD SHOT UP WHEN I SAW MILTON FLORIDA. HOLY CRAP.
5:12 Anthony is definitely partly at fault. He only pulled halfway onto the shoulder, AND didn't pull up as far as he could have to avoid this.
how can it matter how fast you're going if someone ignores a red light? that's nonsense
I think that chris was very confused when they said that both him and the Audi driver were at fault
I would have shown the footage and don't actually care about if they arrest me or not... the audi driver doesn't have any responsibility here. Even if he was driving 15 miles over the speed limit.
The tipping-over Toyota reminded of Arte Johnson on his tricycle tipping over on Laugh-In!
it does not matter if the sq7 driver was going a bit over the speed limit when you ignore a basic rule of driving(stoping at a red light ),tesla is 100 precent at fault here
That may be your opinion, but the law doesn't view it that way, I think it was the right call to make it a 50/50 blame, one was speeding, one ran a red light, both were at fault.
Good that you mention the insurance payout with some of these accidents. I was rear ended last year and it was a nightmare of time and effort I spent over a few months, time off work and paperwork to get through the whole thing with multiple trips to doctor as I had a dislocated thumb and pulled muscle from the impact, police reporting center, car rental, insurance body shop, meeting my adjuster etc and then negotiating about settlement and depreciation values as my car was totaled. Would be good to do some follow ups and mention some of this in these videos and also from at fault drivers what their new premiums are after an accident, some people pay double for many years after causing an accident. If more people would see examples of the aftermath they might drive more cautiously.
My experience of being in a crash in France driving a UK car is “know they record everything so not only restrict everything you say to the minimum -even before you head abroad phone up and get confirmation you get exactly the same coverage as at home”. I now ask questions on every renewal just to make sure there are no other disputes about whether they provide rental cars in other countries and the like. And yeah, they write off a car of cost of repair is more than the cost of the check they’d send you for the depreciated vehicle -regardless of how much it actually costs to replace
Luv watching wham Baam Tesla video every Sunday morning before I start my day❤🎉:)😊
"the audi was driving 15 over " ooooooooh thats soooo bad. i think the guy driving through the RED LIGHT probably is 100% responsible.
Let's suppose that the Audi driver was actually doing the speed limit, the accident may never have happened because he may not have reached the intersection at that point in time. I can see a nominal amount of logic in that scenario.
@@SnBsM3T lets suppose the tesla driver didnt run a red light
Arun doesn't know how to drive in Toronto. Slow rolls a yellow and doesn't predict someone to turn. Not at fault but you'll get in way more accidents and destroy your insurance in TO
Don’t know the laws there but in California he was supposed to stop so the mini van can go. If I was the minivan I would have assumed a car driving so slow would be stopping too. Again that’s for Cali not in Toronto.
@@327efrain lol in every state he should stop cause he had a red light.
While that might be true, but as someone who lives in Toronto myself I always wait for the cars to come to a complete stop when there's a yellow light because people always cross an intersection anyway and sometimes will even cross a red light. I'm not saying the car turning left is at fault but I have been saved many times from accidents just by waiting for cars to come to a complete stop when waiting for a left turn at a yellow light rather than turning because the person coming from the oncoming traffic was supposed to come to a rolling stop.
Arun's light wasn't red. It turned yellow shortly before he got to the intersection, and it didn't look like he had enough distance to stop.@@grumpywolfgaming
3:10 The Honda driver didn't brake check the Toyota, they came to a full stop so they might have been startled. As you see 10 seconds later they now start moving
I think it was a brake check. The Honda avoided contact without brakes, then swerved the opposite direction in front of the Toyota THEN slammed on the brakes.
@@WeavingMocha The Honda maintained their lane, it was the Toyota driver that attempted to push in and almost hit them.
@@WeavingMocha The intention of a brake checker is to let you back off and/or to get hit for insurance. It's clear Honda didn't see them and were shaken up.
@@johnt.848 The Honda did not maintain its lane, it left then re-entered after avoiding the collision.
The Toyota did not intentionally attempt to push its way in as you imply, that is clear by the surprised jerk to the left. The Honda was in the Toyota's blindspot, and handled the Toyota driver's mistake ungracefully and in anger.

I’d really like to see the evidence on how the Audi driver was deemed to be speeding.
You know cars record that and police recover that data for the police report… right? It’s not magic lol

0:00 Who ever determined that both were at fault are on something. It doesn't matter if they determined the driver was slightly over the speed limit. Even if they were traveling the speed limit, unless it was 5 mph, a collision would have happened. This is why I always coast through green lights with my foot on the brake. The odds of a red light runner are surprisingly high these days.
They didn't determine anything. The "speeding" driver open their big mouth. Never admit anything at the scene.

Wham baam teslacam makes my day every time
I am always astounded how many drivers keep going when faced with a potential collision. Don’t they have brakes?
Both drivers being found at fault in the first one is absolutely ludicrous, especially for only 15 miles over the speed limit? ASTOUNDINGLY abysmal evaluation from whoever concluded both parties to be at fault.
When I got hit by a red light runner about a year ago, I was lucky that there wwere no major injuries & the cars were both still driveable; my first 2 calls to 911 never went through, my 3rd was put on hold and then disconnected. On my 4th, I got a human operator who told me to just forward the videos I said I had to my insurance company and cut off the call. The police only found out about the accident because a PD cruiser happened to pass (going the other way) just as the other person & I started to drive away. She kept going but I talked with the cops... who seemed amused by the whole thing. On the other hand, I know a social worker who's called a different local jurisdiction's 911 to request emergency services in a nursing home who's been put on hold by 911 for at least 15 minutes several times over the years.
5:20 - if you have to swerve onto the shoulder, assume other people are going to have to as well so don't swerve and stop--swerve, slow down and keep rolling until you verify everyone behind you is stopped.
The fact that ppl do not know if they were the ones driving or was it the car? RIDICULOUS and the fact that ppl are ok with that is DANGEROUS...
Sentry mode should display a view of all the camera angles on the screen when it starts recording, just incase the suspect / individual doesn't know where the cameras are.
3:57 so, let me get this straight, you can obtain a drivers license in America (as both of these drivers did), without having any clue about what to do if you have an accident. Is that right? How is that even possible?
That is correct. Getting in accidents is for the umm, the ughh, un informed????
Don’t expect too much from DMV 😂 they are as incompetent as they are slow.
100%. Test just concerned about bare minimum. And content varies based on state. For example, i wasnt tested on parallel parking, but other states do.
Lots of different forms of drivers' ed in America. But the test is always just a demonstration inside the car. Things like this and vehicle maintenance aren't covered in the exam.
That said, I definitely knew when I was that age that if nothing else I could call the police and let them handle it for me.
You aren't really told what to do when you get into an accident. It's expected to call police but really if there is no one hurt and both people exchange info you MIGHT not need police

Why are people contacting the other driver's insurance provider? You call your provider, make a report, and they do the contacting. That's their job.
Because if you contact your insurance you have to wait to get the reimbursement from the other party. When you file insurance claim with the other party, they pay for it. If you go through your own, you have to wait for your insurance to get money back from the other person's insurance

Was the Audi SQ7 speeding? Yes. Would there have been a crash in the first place if the Tesla never ran the light? No! At most the Audi should be cited for speeding, but definitely not partially at fault.

PSA: If you are hit by another car ALWAYS get their insurance information. Usually when they want to settle outside of insurance there is a reason (too many at fault accidents). I was rear ended by a 68YO grandmother that said "lets just settle out directly without insurance". I got it anyway and recorded video of her confession to the accident. Per usual, as soon as she got the estimate she says I'm not paying that and stops returning my calls. I gave her an ultimatum of 48 hours or I contact her insurance. She refused and when I filed with her insurance she claims that I backed into her.
Take pictures, record video and get their damn insurance and DL.

Hello, from Greece
If I'm not a Tesla owner, I think I also won't trust the Tesla's repairing quote. The minor scratches on my front bumper(even hard to notice 5 meters away) cost $7,000 to repair, and a tiny ding on back bumper (like a small screw hole) cost $2,000 to repair. Unbelievable!
