    Manor Lords is a strategy game that allows you to experience the life of a medieval lord. Grow your starting village into a bustling city, manage resources and production chains, and expand your lands through conquest.
    Inspired by the art and architecture of late 14th century Franconia, Manor Lords prioritizes historical accuracy wherever possible, using it to inform gameplay mechanics and visuals alike. Common medieval tropes are avoided in favor of historical accuracy, in order to make the world feel more authentic, colorful, and believable.

    The next forestry area that gets built in a CS/CS2 city should be called "Honest Jorg's Perfectly Legal Lumber Shop"

    All roads should lead to Eggbrand as it (Waldbrand) will most likely be your staging point for your military eggspansion.

    Heads up to those that are enjoying this game through early access. Looks like some of the end-game situations are still under development. For this game, I selected the goal of "Growth" with "Large Town" being the target. Once I reached Large Town, the game cut to an end-scene then asked if I want to continue in Sandbox Mode. I selected this, but the game does not continue. It does go on for a brief moment, then automatically cuts to the end-scene again and asks if you want to continue in Sandbox. It just keeps doing this over and over. If anyone has figured a way to get out of this endless loop, I'd love to hear it.

    Barter storage goes into granaries or storehouses dependent upon the goods being bartered... could probably do with that being added to the help system. Love that outpost concept... one big burgher plot is almost like a mini-manor for that area.

    Keep in mind that dedicating an animal to a workplace does NOT take them out of a stable space! They live in their stable and get taken to work at their dedicated place when needed.

    I'm playing this now, and discovered a few things I've not heard mentioned yet.
    On renovations: I just discovered that when you demolish something, you can't build anything new on that spot until the leftover logs are taken away to build something else, or maybe back to storage - this can take a long time.
    On planning: don't place things you don't need yet and put them at low priority if you've also got a lot of medium or higher priority things you want to build - the game built the earlier-placed lower priority things before starting on the high-priority but later placed buildings.
    On bandits: it takes my militia 3 months to walk (not run) diagonally across the whole map to deal with a bandit camp in the opposite corner. So if you need everyone back to work the farms in sept-okt-nov you need to send them out after those bandits by late winter/early spring.
    Yet almost as soon as you loot the bandit camp, another springs up elsewhere and starts stealing from the settlement, while your men are still months of walking away... How come the bandits don't take months? Can I ambush them nearer to my borders? I can't see them when they're sneaking around.
    Another thing I just found out: When you upgrade a level 2 burgage plot to artisan it loses its chickens/goats/carrots, so you might want to use those costly upgrades only on houses that won't be at your town center!⁷

      Are you sure about last one? I have many plots lvl2 and they didn't lose anything

      A couple of things I've noticed:
      Even though I've upgraded the Store House (tons of available space) and have max number families working it, the people coming and going to pick up or drop off supplies have backed up in a line and it is taking them forever to conduct their business which seems to have slowed things down all across the town.
      You can freely move individual market stalls. I have not experimented enough yet to find out if moving them around will help the outlying burgage plots or not.
      I spent a dev point on Trapping for the hunters and my meat production tanked. I'm wondering if this is bugged. Seems like the hunters quit hunting in the designated area and were traveling to the other side of the province to lay traps. I was expecting a decent uptick in meat with the passive production from the traps, but the opposite happened.
      On my first go of the game, I mined an iron deposit (not rich and no deep mine). I figured I'd just go ahead and mine it and clear it out and keep the iron in storage till I was ready to use it. Well, the bandits whittled it away to almost nothing. Best not to mine it till you need it or you plan to sell it right away.

      @@americanboy1332 Yes, If you have a lvl2 plot with chickens/veg/goats, and change it to an artisan (brewer/tailor/fletcher/etc.) you lose the chickens/veg/goats. You can only have one extension at a time. If you want to change your artisan back to chickens, you have to demolish the burgage plot and start over. So if your plan for a particular plot is to turn it into an artisan, don't waste the money on adding chickens/veg/goats, unless you've got money to waste of course.

    • @americanboy1332
      @americanboy1332 5 місяців тому

      @@michaelw6222 because chicken or veggies IS artisan, same as others, it is just available right away

    • @hanneken4026
      @hanneken4026 5 місяців тому +1

      @@americanboy1332 Artisan is not the same as level 2. You seem to be conflating the two.
      Burgages that you upgrade from level 1 to level 2 still have their carrots, chickens or goats.
      But once you decide to turn the family living in that level 2 house into artisans (brewer, tailor, cobbler, armorer etc.) those people will still be living in a level 2 burgage but you get a shed behind the house that will house the brewery, tailor's workshop, smithy or whatever you chose, and that will delete the chicken coops. Even if the garden is long enough for both.

    I'm still amazed at how beautiful this game is!! Can't watch enough of it truly. I hope you will do more tutorials. I seriously think I will replace my computer so I can play again next winter and keep this one for work. I also read somewhere, that if you put buildings or roads near hunting areas, it will keep the livestock from growing back and cause it to go below as they will move on somewhere. I didn't see if yours had a road or building close. Maybe try moving it to see if that helps and leave it open and clear. 🤩

    I think a great addition to the game would be mayors for each province you control. When you gain claim on a new province and build the manor house, it comes with it's own mayor. There could be several to choose from, each with a unique buff to stuff like farming, hunting, military, taxation, trade, artisans, etc. I know the policy system, once fully operational, will cover some of this, but this would be another way to specialize provinces even more.
