Mine was leaking due to a hole in the side pan.....when I fixed the hole, it started leaking near the torc converter....it also made a groaning sound, I Pulled the transmission and replaced the seal and torc converter......many ppl are telling me it was a bad torch converter.
When I pulled the torc converter everything seemed fine.....I heard a bad valve body seal will leak but will come out the weep hole or vent on top near the shifter.....mine doesn’t, I might replace the entire valve body and gaskets....but would a valve body from a 4t65e fit a 4t65e-hd unit? Both transmissions look the same except the HD version has a Differential at the end.
Everything works fine and it shifts good...except the groaning sound when I’m at the stop light.

I “rebuilt” mine in 2018, and I did not notice grooves in my 2nd clutch drum. it was my first time in a transmission. this was 30,000 miles ago. the van shifts smooth, so maybe i was ok? all the youtube and write ups covered many things to look out for ex: mine fid not have the hardened overdrive shaft for 4th, etc.

If you rebuilt it and it is still working, then you have nothing to worry about at the moment. However, there are things that do wear in this transmission that we change when we rebuild it as a safety precaution.

    I have a B6294S motor S80 with 4T65EV transmission which fails.
I found many used transmission in my local market, but they may different.
    Seller (1) has a B6304S motor S80 with 4T65E trasmission.
Seller (2) has a B6294S motor S80 but with a 4T65EV-GT transmission. It is the same motor, but Geartronic transmission, mine is not.
May any of these are compatible with my car?
    Thank you.

Why would you not hot plate the gasket off. They come right off with boiling water and soaking them

Never seen a ":bonded" gasket to come off with hot water. Maybe next time I will try it.
