I was facing up to 20 years for family violence aggravated assault by strangulation with a deadly weapon. I beat the case. Our defense was false allegations. I was working from home watching my daughters and my children's mom came to pick up the girls in a co parent exchange. Long story short, this less of human orchestrated some commotion and accused me of strangling her while I was on the phone with a customer. When she called the police and alleged strangulation, I put the customer on hold and began recording her; her neck and face with my camera phone and her behavior etc...after 3 mins of recording and not interfering with her 911 call I got back to work. When the police arrived they asked her to go outside. They "investigated", determined probable cause existed, and arrested me. I got fired from my job of 7 years and was never able to find employment after a background check found the pending charge. The police report states, when asked how hard was I squeezing on a scale from 1-10 she said a 20! The police photos showed all these marks on her neck like finger indentations but in my video there were none at all. I went back to work after recording and waited on the police. In the meantime, she inflicted harm on her own self! That video saved my life yall. Should I post my video on UA-cam?
I'm surprised the DA didn't go forward with the case anyway ,just to get a conviction like their doing in san angelo texas. The DA knows people are innocent but let's the jury decide by suppressing evidence and portraying a much different story.
Good luck getting a grand jury to say no true bill of indictment. I've been on a grand jury, we only saw evidence of the persons guilt. We did not see anything from defense. I even made an attempt to disagree with a case and was struck down by the other grand jurors. I got so disgusted with the way it was that I eventually got thrown off the grand J.
I just beat an Aggravated Assault by Strangulation in Austin, TX. I can say for certain you are INCORRECT in claiming "you must literally impede ones breath". If you instead impede circulation of the blood flow and not the air and they can breathe, you can still be found guilty of 3rd degree felony.

My ex pulled me from the hoodie of my sweater trying to pull me out of our house , if I would of called the cops , what would of happened ? Especially since I am fixing her papers . ?
I do have a question; does context matter in these cases? If the accused had had multiple instances of emotional abuse that took place for months prior, would that be a defense? Or If the accused have been going to therapy prior to the incident etc

hello im the husband of Norma and the case is false because she claimed i was drunk but i wasnt she was drinking and getting violent and abusive verbally so i tried to leave she went out and physically stopped me and kept me from leaving she put her hands on me by grabbing me by the arm and as i tried to shake liose she grabs my shirt tells me im not going any where and then forces me back into the house by pulling my shirt and even pushes me back into the house. the DA is now changed it to unlawful imprisonment i never held her or grabbed her i simply stopped her defended myself from her assulting me she had a cast on her right hand and hit me 2 to 3 times in the head so i defgended myself out of fear for my life grabbed her hair to keep her from assulting me more and her daughter also seen tthat and started punching me in the eyeonce her daughter came out i let her go because she stopped but when her daughter started hitting me she also did then stopped and keep her daughter from hitting me and we went outside. never once did i force her or kept her from leaving by holding her against her will. she had no marks i had a bump and cut on my forehea

We both have been in contact since we made bond and got out of County jail. Neither one of us want to press charges we didn't say we wanted to press charges in the beginning. We are in the state of texas. We didn't have any major injuries on us just a scratch on my lip and a scratch on her arm. It's basically hearsay and we both called the police on each other. So how would I go about this case like do you think we have a strong chance of getting this dismissed

He was charged with domestic violence and my injuries were from accident I was yanking his shirt and I fell hit my face and lower lip on the floor, I got mad and call the cops and they took it wrong I felt like I wasn’t heard they weren’t listening to me.
