On the terminology front: I don't how how much of this to chalk up to regional vs game-specific lingo, but various NA competitive FPS scenes use "lit" to describe enemy players at very low health. Thanks for the vid!

    Things good players know:
    1. NEVER MOVE THE FUCKING RESPAWN CAR ON EDGE OF A SPAWN
    2. Place landmines on stairs that go up and are imposible to see from a angle if player runs up fast
    3. DO NOT REMOVE SANDBAGS YOUR TEAMMATES BUILD (exeption is only when you have to move a veicle) or remove blocks that block the entrance to building.
    4. If you see and hear a gun close and shots go over you, trow a few grenates into that direction and you can get easy kills.
    5. Basic real life driving rule.... the driver is the one who plays music and if you try to play a music over them, they will crash into a mountain due to distraction.
    6. Never go straight in line with another player (unless they use shield) aka lemming
    7. If you see a player in a car with turned off engine and on a gun-- DO NOT DRIVE THAT FUCKING CAR....good players wait and can hold a whole team of enemy players that way solo
    8. Never just flank, but flank flank, as another player may have some idea to flank.. so overflanking is good
    9. Place landmines on enemy players if there is some enemy medic close as they will run to them and blow up (on their bodys)
    10. Use area to your advantage and if possible change the landscape (blow up trees with c4, place fences, make small holes into buildings with pickaxe to use them to shot out)
    ...and much more

only place the mines inside of buildings that you are going trough. never place them when you and your mates want to stay inside that building. i got so many kills cause some enemy thought "lets place some mines in the room we're in" leading to the mines exploding cause of my granades.

Commented this on a similar video a while back, but even to this day, I'm still learning to do to be _"active"_ while I play. When I say active, I mean playing with a conscious. An easier definition of active play would be knowing the opposite of active play, which is inactive play, or _"auto-piloting"._
A majority of these tips can only be accessed with active play. Passive aim, info peek, reading; all of this requires planning, decision making, and guessing. If you're auto-piloting, you won't do any of this nor be aware when you can perform these tactics, which is why inactive play causes such a massive disadvantage.
Most players who struggle in BBR most might be suffering from inactive play. I'm used to arcade-y FPS' like, CoD, Titanfall, or Battlefield, of which are tailored towards inactive players. That's not bad per-say, just means those games are more casual and are generally easier to play, but BBR is not exactly on the same level. BBR is more casual than something like Insurgency or Squad, but still requires more thinking than the aforementioned games. This is mostly caused by BBR's lobby size and map design, with the mechanics and gunplay putting some nice cherries on top of the active play requirements.
*Lobby size* is easy to explain. The more players, the harder it is to account for the enemy, predict where they are, and know the frontlines. One more player means one more chance the enemy can counter your measures, no matter the skill level of said player.
*Map design* may be foreign to casual players but is very much understood by any super-mega-sweatlord. BBR has rather complicated maps, with a lot of elevation, off angles, flank routes, and chokepoints. On top of that, maps are fully destructible, meaning flanks and off angles can be made manually, of which are impossible to account for.
Maps are definitely the hardest part about BBR imo, and the only real way you can improve at this is to play the game. More experience equals more knowledge of the map and what is not natural on a map. You can also play very slow, checking every corner and making sure your movement is safe, but you'll need to be a literal monk to do that. I normally play very defensively and not even I have the patience to move slow yet safe 24/7.
*Gunplay* and *mechanics* make up the final levels of the BBR skill ceiling. You die very fast in this game, and you don't have access to insane movement techniques to counter it. No dives, slides, tactical sprints, or wallrunning. No bigass mechs either. It's very easy to be punished harshly in this game, and there isn't a lot of goofy techs you can abuse to evade your inevitable death _(besides spinning around like a lunatic),_ so any wrong move can get you killed very easily. On top of that, you have to put time into your roles, objectives, and plan if you're a squad lead. It's quite a lot, not easy to balance either.
With all of these factors at play, it's gonna some brainpower to ensure your victory in BBR. The first step is to wake yourself up during play and start thinking. When peeking, think about the info you receive. When moving, check the map and plan your next steps. When in combat, choose the weirdest angle to hold. All of this requires some type of active play, and the only way to learn active play is to try. It's like starting a new habit; it's unnatural at first, so you need to force yourself to do it, but do it enough and it'll be a second nature.
Loved this video and love your content!

I feel like ”reset” could be a commonly used FPS word. Don’t know how common it is in battlebit. Typically just means your low hp, out of ammo or in a bad spot and need to reset which is often walking back into another position/spot(often safer spot) and taking your time doing whatever it is you need to do in order to reset. If someone is saying this it is likely said to give you/others heads up that you will be alone or that he can’t help you anymore. ”Need to reset, low ammo”. ”I’m too exposed, need to reset.”.

One of the hardest things I had to learn back in the day (because it was already a bad habit) and one of the things that did the most to help improve was "keeping the guns up"
Specially in closer combat games like CS and CoD, MOST players have a tendency to look down. Even when you tell it to them, they won't always see it.
But when you are running around, your crosshair should be at the height of the enemy upperbody or head, when you move towards a corner or a cover, you crosshairs should be where he is most likely to come out from, or peak from. If your aim is already at point, ot even 90% at point so all you need is a small adjustment, then you will get your shots of a lot faster, and are much more likely to win compared if you first have to move up and over to point at the guy. IF you re both good aimers with good reaction, but all you have to do is push mouse one, and he has to first track you before he can shoot - you will win.
For the termonology... Maybe I am just not "pro" enough. But I don't like the "tagged 30" - because YOU DO NOT KNOW... you are guessing, what hitbox did you hit? What weapon did you use? what was the exact range? There are games that will tell you how much damage you did, but in most, it is just a guess... Sometimes I do say "He must be oneshot" and usually I am right.

How to improve your chance at winning a gunfight 101:
Utility dump the enemy and make it so they can’t focus on shooting you back.
Also if enemy has cover try to turn that cover into concealment (like using an RPG against a wall an enemy is hiding behind)
In all honesty the biggest tip I can give as someone who is quite competent in vehicles and plays a lot of games where vehicle combat is the forefront is situational awareness and crowd control, things like tanks need to keep track of infantry both friendly and enemy while also trying to funnel the enemy into areas where you can best utilise your firepower. Enemy armour should be engaged if you can either A: rapidly aggress and pin them down or B: have plenty of cover and concealment to make the fight messy for your opponent

Regarding the RPG comment, yeah, and if you're on the other side of the equation, when you're peaking through a window in a somewhat busy area, or if really you have any doubt that there might be an engineer somewhere nearby (it's probably better to assume it's always the case), avoid taking cover right behind the wall, it got me killed so many times. Maybe lay down behind a desk further back in the room you're peaking from or something.

    • @Jason-fp7vi
      @Jason-fp7vi 11 місяців тому +1

I'm not good at battlebit but I'm a big fan all the same and can try to summarize...
Gun balance is generally very good, very few guns are completely outclassed. The ACR might be the worst assault rifle right now, but it's still good enough to top the scoreboard with the right player
A lot of people are calling the FAL the best AR right now, very quick time to kill and fast run speed
Most of the "worst" guns are probably a few of the bolt actions and some pistols. The other types of primaries are honestly all good enough for skilled players
SMG's were buffed and probably the most "meta' weapons right now, especially playing aggressively with medic
On that note medic feels kind of unbalanced. Not game breaking, they just run fast, get a lot of weapon options, better self heal, and can still get C4. That's super strong and versatile
DMR's have been buffed here and there and are perfectly serviceable. The M110 is a 2 shot against normal armour and many calling it OP right now
As a squad leader with any class you can place a rally point with your build menu, there is no dedicated squad leader class anymore. Very few people are placing these but they can be quite useful

I don't know what else I could say... Perhaps that as the player base is getting more experienced, you might see people making better use of juking. There's a way to spam jumping and strafing that makes you very hard to hit, and your player model looks like it's almost glitching out
If you see someones movement looking disjointed and almost like their teleporting half a step, it's likely not lag or hacks, just good juking
Map voting is now chance based so that a group of players can't do their favourite map on repeat. The votes get distributed, and then the map with the most votes had the highest chance of being played and so o
People might get ticked about voting random right now because that makes it possible for a night map, people largely dislike night maps
You get a 10% xp boost for a winning a match, if you keep the streak up that xp boost raises, I think it caps around 30%? This makes a better incentive for playing objectives to win
There's now the weekly challenges like get 200 kills as X class. Each challenge gives a flag amount of bonus XP, if you complete all the challenges you get a huge xp boost that applies to all your kills assists etc until the next week

you sort of get a feel for it. if you and your buddies are inflicting heavy casualties, after a minute or so if you see the enemy numbers thinning even though they still hold the point, start looking around, someone will be pissed they had to spawn at another objective and they will be actively hunting you down.

If you're not flanking, expect to be flanked yourself. Use your map to see where your teammates are looking to get info on where the enemy might be, big engagements often need wider flanking, small engagements often need quick and short flanking. Engage, flank/reposition, engage, flank/reposition, rinse repeat. Always keep the enemy second guessing to where you are, the more passive you play the more likely someone else will get a flank on you.
