A very fine example of how working Canines and their handlers relate to one another through their working relationships that take them to a life time of PURE JOY & happiness. These animals only give love & protection through the ages of being together, No doubt in my mind the effect these beautiful Animals have on us is a very special gift INDEED
My Malinois is relentless in her connection and devotion to me. I noticed that I got annoyed with her for wanting to be close to me when I had a panic attack, and then realized it was because I was conditioned to resist asking for help. I needed the connection like everybody else, but my first reaction was always trying to suck it up, be independent, and soldier on. When I learned that my reaction was not normal, it was so much easier to allow, and even need to have someone there when it was my dog. I could trust her, and she never ever judged or abandoned me, no matter how severely I was reacting to a trigger. She never turned away unless I made her. I realized that the dog is like me in that way, and it was ok for me to want someone (and yes, my dog is a someone) to give me the same devotion I was willing to give. I swear she is some kind of angel. And she pretty much gets the best of everything I could give. The dog knows when I say, "Whole Foods" because I buy her the expensive buffet meats she likes. She deserves it more than most people.
I have a German shepherd. She is rescue. She has no toes on her back foot. People didn't want her. When she was pregnant, she was thrown out of a truck. She has been abandoned many times. She is the most sweetest dog ever.
A dog is the one with unconditional and will always be there for you. I salute both of you for your service to our country. He is so beautiful and I can see how he loves you. Thanks for sharing your story
Only a dog is capable of offering unconditional love something a human is not capable of. LOVE, YOUR DOGS BECAUSE YOU ARE THE WORLD TO THEM and they will show you that LOVE EVERYDAY!!!!!
Isky was actually enlisted, as his handler was a Sgt (at least in the video his rank showed that of a Sgt (E-5)) which would have made Isky an E-6, or Staff Sgt as the dogs hold one rank higher then their handlers. I understand what you mean by officers though ;-)
Thank you for sharing your story with us. I had to put my service dog down, a few days ago. Brain Cancer and seizures. When I am ready there will be a Doberman ready for me to heal with. God does not make mistakes. You both were destined to each other. God bless you both!
He went to Stuttgart, Germany I know that because I’ve lived there for 3 years of my life and I meet him and saw him there and other trainers shout out to him I’ve learned things from this man
I’m so Happy for the both you!!! You guys belong together, as brothers in arms and as training partners!!! Congratulations and THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!!! Enjoy the rest of your days together, taking walking, playing catch and just chillin on the couch!! Well Deserved, Guys!!!!
German Shepherds are great dogs they're my favorite breed my dog Max just died couple days ago but we have his son jack who's about almost two now I think he's a little over a year and a half and he's a good dog

I love that, ever since (at least) WWI, our soldiers have treated all animals that serve along side them with the same respect as the humans. Even more than that, for the sake of the humans and animals serving our country, I'm glad there are so many organizations now that enable these beautiful animals to live out the rest of their lives with the same respect and dignity as the people who serve this country as well. ❤️❤️❤️
Wonderful and touching story💖Sooo glad you were able to keep your beautiful boy in your life, so deserving!!! Thank you both for your service!!!🇺🇸🐕😌 God bless you both 💞

Wow six hours and off goes doggy for medical but here in India what 6 day maybe for human lot of respect for you all and especially the dog that lost his one leg in duty
Everyone talks about gut feeling. Dogs have to be the best at, Sensing , Danger & give There lives , Without asking . Love & trust. That's what , A Dog is . Love & Loyalty !!
Can you imagine ! soldiers sadly have nightmares and it is completely understandable why, those pups who they wished not to be born in places like that, have no option but to accept what life decided to give them and even though whenever they are rescued they enjoy life, they are a lesson to many humans. Dogs are adorable.
You guys belong together. What a beautiful story I had tears coming down my cheeks. 😢 God bless the dog. He takes care of you. You take care of him. Thank for serving our country. God bless. You guys are happy. The dog didn't ask to go to war. The dog is very sweet and nice and friendly and very playful. I had two dogs they both died. I miss them dearly. I had the mother and the son. They were beautiful Pomeranians dogs and very loving just like your dog.
Wonderful story. I adopted a German Shepherd called Xenia. She was a war veteran, serving in Iran and Afghanistan. Afghanistan was where she lost her human partner, they found him after the battle, her head on the chest of her dead friend. The vet removed 17 pieces of shattnel and stitched her up. They tried to place her with another soldier, however, after several attempts, it was determined she had PTSD. And was medically discharged. Having friends, and working as a Doctor of Clinical psychology with the troops suffering with PTSD, plus other disorders brought on by the experiences of war, I came to hear about Xena. We met, immediately she sat at my side and where i went, Xena went! U We were together 20 months. She played like the huge puppy she was. In shops, if I wasn't watching her she would removed the cans from the shelfs for my inspection. Lol. She was a sniffer and a Bomb dog.. Life changes, after the Death of my Partners daughter, we sold the house, bought an RV and took off. Xena this wonderful friend was board, and fed up, she wanted to work. I contacted a Police friend of mine, who trained Police Drug dogs, I asked him to assess Xena. She was over her PTSD, she was coping and was ready to work. Passing her skill assessments, she now works as a sniffer dog, and loves it. I miss her, but, I wouldn't change my mind. These dogs are amazing, and should never be underestimated, they are intelligent and able to think independently, their intelligence should never be ignored. They are true hero's.
Unfortunately I know what you mean when you look at him and you get so apprehensive about the time to come. I got through this every day looking at my cat, he is not a war Hero but he is My Hero and I could cry a thousand times if I would not stop myself and instead focus on the present moment of being with him and of our time together so I won't forget. I'm engraving our moments together in my mind 😌 Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. Love leaves memories no one can steal.

First, let me thank the two of you for your service. Just know that the relationship the two of you share will never and can never be broken. He can read you like a book, he can detect changes in you before you're aware the changes are happening in yourself. I am so elated to know you got to stay with a service member who knows exactly what you went through because he has gone down that rabbit with you. I loved listening to your story and I just wanted to say I am so proud of you and your dog. I am even more grateful the two of you made it home safely. Stay strong, stay safe and stay true. Blessing to you and your family.

"you can only hope to be the person that dog thinks you are" What an incredibly accurate statement.
A dog is the only thing that will ever love you more than it loves itself.
A dog is living individ not a thing

K-9 has the most dangerous duty among all soldiers. The only soldier who has to go after armed enemy without any fire arms and heavy protection gear.
They do have a small amount of body armour now that covers the torso. But nevertheless, still a very dangerous job for the dog.
they're also a smaller and faster target with big fuckin teeth
@@davecabansay8965 Every time they are out in battle field, they faced fully geared armed enemy while unarmed. Risk of getting kill is very high.🤔
It*s nice that the both of you are together, both being icons of the town, I think that the dog should really be given the medal of valor.
K-9's are real officers too ❤❤❤❤❤thank you my darlings!!

Dogs service dogs have a knack of knowing when their owner is in distress or is about to have a medical issue
Not just service dogs, there have been many stories of regular family dogs that recognize when their owner is in danger or is distressed
It means as much to a K9 to stay with a handler he/she loves as it does to the handler who loves the K9 they served with.
