I knew somebody in Colombia her voice is really ugly, she don't has idea about songs and use the right cloth and shoes for to sing but she likes to sing with heart so she has lucky because Family was a good help for her, she look at the opportunity but was not easy to find out a good manager, then the new manager made everything for her, change the dance,the music, the image because before not idea about nothing. I recently saw something quite shocking about this song, by the way I love this song, and was shocking for me saw a group of feminists complained because the song spoke abuse toward men, in my oppinion it is absurd to think that men don't suffer from emotional abuse, it is something that isn't linked to gender, sexual condition. I was in my late 30s when this came out. I seem to remember some sort of controversy about the words to the song. I'm 64 now and I still love Rob Thomas and Matchbox 20.

Meet rob Thomas two weeks ago. He is the most down to earth coolest guy on the plant... Word Of Advice: If you dont have the DVD "A Night in the Life of Matchbox 20" you need to get your ass to Barnes and nobles and pick it up........ The best live concert Ive ever seen, and the sound is absolutely sick......hands down the most kick ass DVD i own!!!!

This song has been one of my favorites since i was a kid but i never really understood the meaning of its lyrics. All I know is that this song is full of feelings and everytime I listen to it I get emotional. Can someone please explain to me the deeper meaning of this song? Thank you.
It's about relationship abuse in general but in the song she's the one who's talking so it's the woman abusing the man in this situation. Using her past relationships and what she's been through as an excuse to be hateful
Bringing to light that men are the victims of abuse just as much if not more than women. I dont know all the meanings but rob thomas is a God at writing music.
