To me, Ted Lapidus has a similar smell to Hugo Boss Number One without the urinal cake block and is therefore more refined. Great video! Drakkar Noir and Azzaro are the ones which made me realize how amazing barbershop fragrances can be. Especially, when I want a more complexe smell. Suggestion: Coty Aspen for men

Everything you said was spot on well explained for the uninformed. I only suggest getting trying a vintage( even a more recent vintage) formulation of Girgio, since the current one is a terrible buthery and barely resembles the complexity and feeling of the vintage.

Just got me a bottle of Kouros, batch number dates it to 2023. I do smell an alcohol blast in the beginning but dries down to a masculine soap. I love it but I would love to buy a vintage bottle one day

Indeed great fragrances. Unfortunately, all the perfumes mentioned in the video are watered down. When I was young, I wore a lot of KOUROS, DRAKKAR NOIR, QUORUM, ZINO DAVIDOFF, LAPIDUS, FAHRENHEIT, ANTAEUS, and HUGO BOSS NUMBER ONE. Still, I have these vintages and wear them on special occasions. BTW, LAPIDUS was gifted by my father on my wedding day when it was newly launched in Pakistan in the late 80's. Thanks for sharing and reviewing those gems.

Real quality ingredients - i personally have zino davidoff, bogart pour homme, now azzaro pour homme ordered (will arrive in few days) .... also agree with antaeus and the rest of mentioned. how do you like beau de jour compared to zino ... thanks wazeem!
Agreed brother. I love the 80s frags, but I think the 2000s are possibly my favourite. insha'Allah will have the videos for 90s 00s 10s soon insha'Allah. I think designers fell away after 2015 due to sauvage, it was a huge hit and everyone's trying to piggyback off the ambroxan accord without much creativity.
@HandsomeSmells 100% and Antaeus is my favourite from the decade too. For me the late 2000s and mid 2010s were the best years for Amouage, Dior Homme Line, Montale, Giorgio Armani and even the likes of Creed with Windsor, original Vetiver, Aventus etc.
Those were the days! Girls had an authentic boobs, authentic curly hairstyles with lots of gel on, fragrances stayed on skin one week and projected to the next block! Porn were shown on VHS only, music competited between vinyl, c-casettes or even on CD! Kouros was the King on night clubs among vodka Russian and Piña Coladas, blue angels etc😅😅

My fragrance of the 80's and my signature scent for that whole decade was Boss Elements. So sad it's not available any more!!
