My controllers are busted so i have to live vicariously through content creators like yourself, if not for you guys I’d probably eat some lead. You and others like you make life bearable. Hey, I just wanted to say that your comment really touched me. I’m also autistic, and I can completely understand how important it is to have something that brings comfort. It’s incredibly brave of you to share your feelings so openly. The community is here to support each other. I hope you continue to find strength, and I’m wishing you all the best!
This video spawned on my youtube page out of nowhere but DAMN I dont regret a single second watching. Highly appreciate the effort in scouring the internt to find and colect those incredible songs. You literally upgraded my playlist to *LEGENDARY*
I wrote a metal album about taking a journey through The Shivering Isles while working night shifts in an old asylum building in 2015. On this channel you can find track 1 of the album, the only piece of it I ever produced fully beyond demos. It's an intro track with a lot going on so it's not very indicative of what the whole project would have been like, but it's essentially "fantasy math metal", that is, inspired by bands like Meshuggah and early Candiria, but the music is also programmatically inspired by things like Alice in Wonderland, suburban and urban legends, psychedelics and altered mental states, and dreams and neuropsychology. Before this project (2010 onward) I was known for doing vocals for a straightforward metal band, Arbiter, and nowadays I am finally nearing completion of my 70-minute progressive metal debut record (for fans of Haken, Between the Buried and Me, Opeth etc.) Album 1 is set in the lore events of an alternate future Earth in my own original story universe, and is more eco-utopian in theme and not at all like TES. But, there is another planet which arrives into the solar system, and the 2nd album will feature at least 1 song from this moon-planet, which is essentially my own Elder Scrolls-style world, most strongly inspired by Morrowind, a world I first dreamt up in 2005 and have been slow-roasting it in the back of my mind ever since. OK, I'll go watch this video now, I just wanted to get one more TES-inspired metal project on your radar, even if I only ever did finish the short intro track.
LMAO I LOVE THIS! I'm genuinely surprised I didn't find you sooner, damn algorithm. I'm a huge metalhead and a massive fan of TES so this is right up my alley. Def Subscribed!
I had no idea there were this many Elder Scrolls themes bands and now I've got some stuff to go check out. Been listening to Daedric Chamber, Daedric Armour and Daedric Tales (I have a soft spot for symphonic power metal) for a couple years now.
The Ritual Aura (tech death) has the album called "Velothi". Pretty good to my taste. And also - if I may - I have a dungeon synth/dark ambient project Aether Flow. Not entirely Elder Scrolls themed project, but a few months ago I released my first full-length "Death of The Emperor", based on Oblivion stories.
Two more to add: The Ritual Aura(not entirely ES, but the Velothi album is good) and Evergloam. On Trivium, the vocalist Matthew Heafy did covers for the Over the Seas and Far Away and Reach Witch Chant bard songs in ESO as well under his own name.
Wow, I love your taste music. Every single one of your opinions was spot on with mine. I played skyrim and still listen to Jeremy Soule from time to time. I also love metal, it's my favorite genre of music. And out of nowhere, UA-cam just throws your video right at me. Amazing! #10 band was❤️🔥😅🤘🏾
Had no idea about elder scrolls metal apart from a metal version of the skyrim theme. Thank you for enlightening me. Also this video reminded me of Summoning, which as you mentioned is Tolkien themed, and Caladan Brood, which if you don't know, is themed on the malazan book of the fallen series (reccomended fantasy reading). They are an atmospheric black metal band and one of my favs.
I just have to recommend a band which didn't appear on the list - an instrumental black metal Ophidius with their album The Way of the Voice! I wish the album itself was longer, but still it became one of my favorite black metal albums.
The song polnoch (aka midnight in english) about troll from morrowind addon bloodmoon named "udyrfrykte", song just tells story how he awakes under bloodmoon, leave his lair, and eat all nordic folks on his way and destory Thirsk.
@@Azuraaaaaaaaa you're welcome! If you need/intersting translation about second band Lithnilian, can't help much tbh, song you mention in video is just tale about knight, name of song if translate to english it's "Life and Death of unknown knight" Maybe song inspired by knight of the nine dlc, because first words of song is "get chain mail and helm, get shield and sword" and some words in song is about get blessing from the nine, and get reincarnation. But maybe im worng, and song about something else xD
If you had to pick the top 3 from this list that combined sound quality, structure, atmosphere, and lyrical content what would they be? Edit: Also check out Ophidius - The Way of the Voice if you like more technical stuff. Unfortunately they're instrumental and idk if they're still active s ince their last work was 2016.
ohh that's a hard question, there was quite a few I really liked. if I had to pick 3.... it would probably be Velothian, Night Mother and Noctule! and thanks for the suggestion, I think someone else also mentioned them, am checking it out now!
Yeah I'm aware, it is a youtube issue. I tried uploading the video 3 different times in an attempt to fix it (the volume is very low on the master) and youtube just boosts the music for some reason
i had never heard of them since someone else mentioned them today!! like i said to the other person as well, i mostly used metal archives for all my research since finding thematic bands can be a little hard when you have no idea where to start
i tried to 😭 the way youtube compresses audio makes it really loud unfortunately. i had to render the video 3 different times with the music lowered way down and youtube still boosts it for some reason i'm sorry!
Heya, yeah I've actually not heard of them! I'll definitely have to check it out. Like I said in the video, I based a majority of my research off the metal archives, since sometimes themology for bands can be a little hard to find. They didn't show up!
@@Azuraaaaaaaaa the metal archives are very picky about who they allow in, for example they don't allow straight metalcore bands or bands who are more on the pop side. There are a ton of relevant bands that don't show up there

thank you! i really enjoyed making this one but it is a super niche topic, so definitely not for everyone
@ yeah no problem, music is definitely my area so this is good content to me personally

I feel like naming your band after Mehrunes Dagon means you should be a death metal band but hey, they slap so whatevs. Loved this video!

Awesome I will check it out, thanks for sharing!
I must also recommend, "A song for Pelinal" by the now split band Golden God, there's particularly one part in it that I cannot get out of my head.
Two more to add: The Ritual Aura(not entirely ES, but the Velothi album is good) and Evergloam. On Trivium, the vocalist Matthew Heafy did covers for the Over the Seas and Far Away and Reach Witch Chant bard songs in ESO as well under his own name.
Oh cool, I did not know that! I'll check everything out when I can
I was wondering if there were Elder Scrolls themed! Thank you so much for the recommendations!
It sucks to see this video doesn't seem to be doing well, it's super cool!
It's pretty niche so this is the exact response I expected. Just happy at least a few people liked it!
Thanks for the video. This was surprisingly fascinating.

City of azure fire intro by caladan brood is just straight up "road most travelled" by Jeremy Soule.
banger (literally) 🤘
The lyrics of these bands are still less nerdy than those of Immortal.
RAAH METAL MENTIONED, now I wanna make an elder scrolls metal song
New obsession just dropped

AWESOME video!!!!!! This venn diagram is VALID

Gonna recommend a band I didn't see on the list, Golden God.
Their most specific TES-connected song is A Song for Pelinal.

I just subscribed I love black metal and Dungeon synth
Beggs the question, why noone has invented Far-Goth Metal as a Genre yet.
Visigoth Metal & Ostrogoth Metal 😅
Recorded on a petty soul gem is crazy 🤣🤣🤣
You forgot the very popular project Daedric
I watched this whole video just to see her opinion on Daedric. I mean, how can you not include it. It's the first band I would have thought of.
Not sure why this video was recommended to me but I'm glad I had the chance to see a beautiful intelligent woman speak.
I much prefer rubber bands
personally i prefer wood, more sustainable
@@Azuraaaaaaaaa wood bands just seem like they'd chafe

I hoped that you cover tech death band Clavicus Vile here. Also, there is a huge discrepancy in volume throughout this video.

could you make the audio from the bands a little quieter? was way too loud and hurt my ears
i tried to 😭 the way youtube compresses audio makes it really loud unfortunately. i had to render the video 3 different times with the music lowered way down and youtube still boosts it for some reason i'm sorry!

Belakor ever heard of that band 🙄
Just found this channel and... well... I'm sorry about that black star incident... but it's just so much better than that white crap.
The more "easy listening" stuff was the most unlistenable crap, and I listen to classic trance almost exclusively
Я прочитала все сочинения ленина, и теперь твоя очередь.
I love your content, but I don't like your channel name.
That name is already taken by a very important person.
I listen to corpse and witchhouse 40k but damn I needed to leave your voice to monotone😂😂aka boring
