Thanks for the idea. Used up two old pallets which were in the way and now have a nice planter! You can also use any spare pallet blocks to make a bee hotel by drilling a few deep holes of various diameter.
Yep, that's the money shot - how to attach it to the brick. I have 4 pallets in my back yard and wifey is demanding a planter - thanks for video mate! PHX
I smashed the like button, and now I need a new tv 🤣. In all seriousness I can get my hands on some pallets quite easily, so this makes for my next pallet project. Nice idea!
Great project for my allotment seating area. The only difference I would make is to double the depth of the upper two planting areas - not sure there is enough soil for the plants. Great video though. More of these money saving outdoor content please.
A year late here, but love the planters you created, but if I could offer any sort of recommendations, if you ever have to remove cross bearers from used pallets in the future use a medium to heavy engineers ball pin hammer and centre punch and push old nails through the slats until all the block are removed from the slats, if you are going to reuse the square blocks you can rotate the blocks to reveal virgin wood surface’s.
Very original, easy to do, helpful, nice and enviroment friendly. Cannot understand why this video has not more views. Thank you. Eres un campeón y un artista del bricolaje.
Another excellent video watched quite a few now a fairly new subscriber, one thing I thought you could have mentioned was how to hang this planter .Looking forward to your next video.
Great stuff. Do you have any tips regarding fixing it to the wall, though, such as types and sizes of screws? My wall is an old stone thing, not new brick like yours. Many thanks
Another great video by you and your twin brother 😂. Seriously though, i had my doubts about what it would look like but the finish is lovely. Look forward to the next video.
Can I have more information on how you hang the pallet on the wall? What did you use? The full pallet is heavy and I'm worried it's going to fall or something will happen to the wall.
@@TheDIYGuy1 Sky's the limit. You could build another where it's a plant preparation table. All sorts of cool things, you could build the same spec as that planter but the table is a lid for storage underneath where you house all your fertilizers, or again garden equipment.

This is a great idea. Pallets are incredibly versatile especially with timber being so bloody expensive.
Absolutely! You can save a fortune
It’s nice. I wish you showed how you attached it to the wall.
I'm glad you like it.

I was also hoping to see how to attach it to the wall.
One way to do it. You can use an electric drill. Then just hammer some metal fixings or raw plugs into the concrete.
I came to comment this too. It looks fab but with that amount of weight, I’m clueless how to fix it to the wall safely 😂😂

Haha I cannot be held responsible for broken TVs 😁
great idea! This is just amazing tip at no cost at all (except screws)

Thank you very much! I know what you mean 🙈
Great video!
If, like me you inexplicably like garden birds, you could use one of the shelves as a feeder or make somewhere for them to nest.
Good idea 👍
Aww…but how did you fix it to the brick wall??? Any chance you could add that bit on, please? Love the colour!
Looks great and cheaper than taking the missus out for a meal. 😂😂😂
Absolutely 😂
Getting better and better. I love this as I was just offered some pallets, excellent tutorial.
Thanks a lot. Build yourself one 😁

Thank you! Will do!
Great idea and cheap.

What kind of stain did you use? I used a normal stain but I'm afraid that my soil will become toxic?

Great. Have you done a wall drop door drinks bar? Cheers

How did you hand your planter and with what ..smashing job 🤝
Wow! This is the best planter I've seen! I wish I can purchase one from you!
Glad you like it!
DIY = Do It Yourself. Duh.
@@glenheapy5226 Yes, I know but not all of us have the tools, space or time to create such beautiful pieces.
Brilliant as usual

I'm afraid not but it is on my list.
@@TheDIYGuy1 no worries. Thanks for getting back to me 👍
Really nice 👍
Thanks
That’s cool!
Thanks a lot 😊
awesome
Glad you liked it 😁
Looks really good:)
Thanks 👍
What paint did you use?
how about the paint u used is it safe for gardens
Yes 👍
You know on the sides it could hold a garden hose wheel and garden tool organizers.
Good idea

Potential add-ons Use the spare bits of wood to enclose the sides to protect the plants maybe? Great idea, now ... just don't show it to my missus !!
😆👍
❤
🙌
Does it need drainage?
It has drainage cut into the plastic to allow water to pass. Just use a Stanley blade to cut some lines
All I can say is that your missus is a very lucky lady.
Please tell her that lol
Why didnt you show how to hang it on the wall?
It’s an optional step simply using screws and plugs
Nice planter. Horrendous tatts.
Fill the nail holes. Looks tacky.
