Thanks everyone and hope you enjoyed Taryl's Tools! Look for a new video every week when possible. And there's yur dinner!
Its freaky how similar your hand made tools are to to mine that ive made over years. where did you hear riding mower decks should be 1/2" lower in the back? your explanation makes sense but commercial ztr's and walk-behinds are level
Think he said in front, as that's what I always understood. "Up to a half inch, probably 1/4-1/2"
It's in my Deere manual
Your info on different types of repairs have been helpful on my equipment Thanks
Allen head use closed end of an opened end wrench or a thumb wrench will also work depending on the angle needed.
your fix it videos are lifesavers mixed with dramatic entertainment, love it! you guys deserve Emmy awards
Hey Taryl, go back to Gordy's and get your floor jack - it has your name on it! Thanks for the humor and good information!
Taryl, the most important thing about these two videos about lawn mower tools is not necessarily the tools you have made but the ingenuity it takes to make what you need when you need it.
I like the idea of writing your name on your tools, especially when other people like to borrow your stuff.
I never laugh so hard in the morning.Bringing the tractor down on Gordy 😂
Years of knowledge in a matter of minutes,, thanks guys for sharing your skills, & humor with us, yall are the best! kodi
Thanks for watching Kodi!
Taryl taking out the competition for real
Honestly I watch these even when my stuff ain’t broke. Caught myself sayin fire it fire it up lol.
Its always a good feeling to have your tools back.
I have worked on engines all my life, both large and small. I find it refreshing that you seem to work the same as I did. Today most shops would just put in a new engine and never offer the customer to have the shaft straightened. Thank you for your entertaining videos.
Only difference between you and taryl is his genius.
Because most “mechanics” today aren’t mechanics.
We all knew from the beginning you would be a sensation, thank you for sharing with us your experience and also for being a master in what you do very entertaining
I love the comedy and you definitely know your stuff. And there's ur dinner!!
keep cranking and will keep watching them you are the man you sir have a future on UA-cam
At 3:38 minutes into this video, you see Taryl squint his left eye..... a VERY rare occasion. It's his right eye that he squints normally.....When he does this, HE MADDD ! YEEEEHARRR.
...or the reversed image becomes apparent...
Taryl the sign on the wall is saying wash your hands before going back to work and it should say wash your hands before going to eat your lunch.
I'm glad you got your fools back my friends
THANK YOU ! I SAW PART-1 YOU GUYS ARE THE GREATEST !
"This is how you can check the deck leveling without having to jerk the deck off" Thanks Taryl, I almost choked on my sandwich LOL
Reminds me of Mad Max when you lowered the jack on Gordy!!! Hahaha!
Your character is very zany and entertaining as well. Great information and always helpful. Thank you.
You guys rock! Great editing also
I totally agree with you my friends
We enjoy the educational value and the good natured humor. I have learned a lot ofgreat tips for the mower repairs.
+Kaylan Hackney Glad to hear it! Thanks and stay tuned each week for a new video!
Great show brother, tools are needed everyday. cheers my friend
Taryl, your a great small engine mechanic and excellent videos on how to fix everything. I am from Canada.
I've been watching all your videos.... they are a hoot, keep em coming!
I like the Mad Max reference when the jack is lowered on Gordy. How about using an Anton Chiguyr reference?
+WeldstarCreations Glad ta see ya caught the movie ref. We'll keep that other ref. in mind. Love that movie too No country for old men.
Great videos, entertaining and informative. Thanks for sharing your knowledge 👍
Thanks again Taryl. RIP Gordy.
I found this presentation in the Taryl Barrel. These are fun and informative!

Thank you taryl I have learned a lot from this video 👍
THANK YOU “DOCTOR” TARYL
Another invaluable tool , in the 21 century tool box , is a digital camera . Take those pics of everything before you take it apart . take a pic of the serial number , model number etc. digital zoom on your laptop can bring even the most obscure numbers into view .
mark sturgeon I’ve also used my phone as a “periscope” to view and take a picture of areas on machinery that I can get my eyes on.
Back when digital cameras came out i was doing a rear drum job on a buddy's car, you know how drums are, there are a million parts unlike discs, i started making me a diagram like i always did and my buddy comes out and takes a picture, goes back in the house and comes out with a beautiful picture on a piece of paper,i was like wow!! i like this!!
Those are some good tools, thanks for the advice
2:39
Best impression of wild Bill Hickok
That is SO sweet, The Taryl makes his livelihood from these tools, nice enough to let Gordy
use'em then he lies about returning them.
Your videos are the best! And there's your dinner!!
Great stuff here, Thanks for entertainment (and some infromations on the side)!
Brilliant video again Taryl. How about a collection of out-takes from the comedy bits? You must have some stuff.

I injoy watching trays videos very smart and funny
Oh man... this video, between the expressions and dealing with a "tool borrower" who doesn't bring anything back... I laughed so hard... oh man. I feel guilty for enjoying this video so much.
Taryl goes Mad Max.
Thanks!
Someday I too, will have tons of pens in my shirt pockets. :)
FUNNY STUFF!! @1:05 Taryl looks like Red Green (with bad teeth) and Gordy looks like Geddy Lee!! Two good ol' Canadian dudes. This may have already been said, I haven't begun reading these comments... just my observation...
Wonderful informative video!
I can learn a lot from you!

Lol! Stillson wrench! I know what that is. Straight outta the back of the rack files.
I notice u have the danish cooks tin for parts, I think everyone does... Thanks for the videos, cheers!!
Hey Taryl I say in my “high video watcher voice”. What if you gathered all those items together along with a z bender and taryl putty and put them in a small plastic HF toolbox and the sold it in the Taryl store. I’ll take 2. And there’s your dinner!
Just got a "WHAT THE HELL?" moment. I thought I've heard Taryl stools.
thanks
What kind of tool is Taryl Jr? Love your videos great work love the stories that go with them.
Best tool I've learned in this is, experience is your best tool. I don't have all the special tools but I do well with this anyhow. It takes skill though, if you're not inclined and driven to be better every day, you won't make it.
I got a 26hp crafsman riding mower every time I ingage the mower deck it loses power. thank you for you videos I learn a lot from you
Oh yeah I had a million of those moments...need a tattoo that says who not to loan tools too because we all go never again...oh...they wouldn't do that again...yeah...thanks for the dedt collector video Taryl I got more of my tools nowadays!
But Taryl! You keep your things in a coffee can, but I don't drink Coffee from a can!!
too much fun!
I made my own piston stop I’ve been a broken spark plug I tapped out the center and put a bolt in it put two nuts on it for Outbord motors

This video funny I like it
I bought 2 crankshaft straighteners at an auction several years ago (I bought A scrap pile and they were in it) Lucky I don't throw nothing out if it looks like A tool! I didn't get the sleeves with them but I can make them I recon.
Thanks for letting me know what they are and how to use them if I ever need to.
Gary Ronan if you still have them both I would like to buy one from you if you’re willing to part with one. plhoa@yahoo.com.
Thumbs up,
Some one else using same trick to get out needle valve seats lol been doing it for years on bikes and mowers use to use a 1/4 20 ease out to thred them
Alright already!
Love the video!
thatnks again taryl
There has been times where my Oil Level was getting Low so in that case I park the Tractor in the Garage & shut down the Engine & Refill the Crankcase No Engine Damage that way! The Only Oil I have in my Garage is 10W-30 Motor Oil Should I be Switching back to SAE 30? Or use 5W-30 or 10W-40 Instead the Tractor is used in Waterford Michigan USA Mostly During May-November & then Stored for the Winter Season.
all the tools that you showed me most of them I made it myself except the RPM gauge and multimeter the meter I bought chicks RPMs temperature cycles and it's a flute and I paid about $300 is worth every dime
I've yet to see Taryl use one of those pens!
great video as always
any tricks to installing new tires on rims just did that on my john deere stx 38 got the rears on but the little fronts would not go so had to take them to a tire shop. Probably wont have to do that again but just wonder what the trick is.
thanks
+Leakywaders54 We have a tire machine. Unless yur willin to buy a tire machine there is really no easy way. Those fronts are a bitch even with a tire machine!
I have a big old 6" vise that I clamp a 5/8" dia eyebolt, eye down of course into.
I use that as a mandrill and slide the wheel over it. After getting one 'bite' of bead above the rim or perhaps 2, I clamp a vise grips on the edge of the rim to keep the tire bead from going back where it was or following along. Work my way around and off it comes. Put a little air in the tube when re assembling after s l o w l y sliding your bare hand around inside the tire to check for sharps. Start with the Valve. Handy to make up a little tool to hold the valve from going back inside. Or buy one.
Hey Taryl who makes that long 1/4 in driver handle with the flip out lever for extra leverage? gotta have one.
a good and sharp set of wood chisels is ur best gasket scraper. they don't dig either if u follow basic woodworking rules.
Good info.... Quit lendin your tools !!! LOL...
I'm here my good friends
Classic teryel
Geeeeeeeze Taryl, the way ur eyes were bulgin. better watch that BP.
I like it to my friend
to have such an excellent mechanical mind and memory, and look like that. I am a hillbilly from arkansas, but I have found in my 70 years that people are usually adept when they look like they are adept. Not Taryl. no sir. the mold breaker. Makes me wonder what school was like for him. You should have seen the oregonians treat this little guy in grade school like an idjut, for speaking with a southern accent. Made me more southern really.
👍
