The tactical one looks like an exact clone my Safelife vest except the hard plate pouch. I like it because it is special threat rated for 5.7 and it is stab proof and taser proof. As an America First politician these days I need the extra protection=)
I want to see 5.7 ball ammo, especially the subs, tested more often. Unfortunately the most widely available ammo is the polymer tipped HP, so that's what I see tested time and time again. A HP that small moving that fast just blasts open when it hits anything remotely fluid
Hey mr Mike, will you do an armor test with those fancy ballistic dummies with ribs and shtuff so we can see what the internal damage would be minus bullet penetration? I’d seriously like to see that as most of us won’t be down and out with cracked ribs…may not be dead, but definitely hurting and possibly have a punctured lung.
Could y'all throw some Underwood 68 gr 9mm +P Xtreme Defender at these soft armors? At 460 ft/lbs of energy, they hit with authority, and I believe they may even defeat some armor.
Just ordered mine but it's been a week and no shipping and no response from Customer Service to my inquiry about that. Criminals are now using rifles in their home break-ins. This will be no good for that but I figure it should be easy to put kn and wear and better than nothing.
Maybe you’d be alive, maybe you’d be in better shape than the alternative, but you would need serious medical attention asap after the .500. That deformation was terrifying. Of course, we know it’s not rated for that, and I can’t think of the last time I saw someone walking around with a .500
Oh for sure. The vest basically didn't move, meaning the bullet zipped straight through and barely slowed. But that's to be expected; it wasn't at all rated for that.
I have a question that might be slightly off topic, but any way here it goes , I was issued a “personal body armor vest 3-a rating from iweapons “ Israeli weapons ltd” and instantly noticed large outside front pocket which I immediately opened to find a “trauma panel “ same thing on the back , procede to ask my supervisor why is on the outside and not inside behind the armor like the ones we were issued before , and didn’t get a logical answer , do any one know why , and forgive my ignorance.
It was probably placed there as a means to avoid having to take in and out when wiping down the panels, always wear trauma pad behind you armor panels 😉
backface deformation. If it was on a clay block it would leave a dent, but cardboard doesn't stretch like clay or skin so it tears when it gets hit, even though the round didn't penetrate the vest. It IS an indication that you would not be shrugging the hit off. That's a lot of energy, might break ribs, but it's not rated for the round even though it stopped it. Because NIJ standards have a maximum allowed punch/transfer of energy to the ballistic clay. You might end up with punctured lungs, or heart, but it would be from broken ribs, not the slug impact. Lemme know if this doesn't explain it enough and I can try to break it down another way.
Just sayin…I’m 6’ and 165. Bein 35lbs heavier than me, ya look damn good sir lol man crush aside😂 what’s the actual purpose of this soft style armor for civilians? If shtf, I want something that’s not gonna crack my ribs. Granted I do carry 3a backpack armor in my get home bag, but that’s literally for absolute worst case scenario
Can you do a video on Oregons new gun control law. Measure 114! It has passed and now we have a magazine ban and require a permit to purchase a firearm.
BE AWARE! The product might be good but the company is difficult to work with. I’m quite annoyed. I was sent a less expensive set of plates than the ones I ordered, and was told they were the same plate. After proving that they weren’t the same plate they said they were going to issue a return label, which didn’t show up until I inquired again about it. Now I’m told that I will be issued store credit once they receive the wrong plates back. Then I can reorder the correct plates again and just pray that the right plates get shipped out I guess. My brother ordered the same plates as me a couple days later and received the less expensive plate also. My theory, which I hope is wrong, is that this is an intentional choice on Battle Steel’s part to profit more from customers who don’t realize it’s a cheaper plate. Then when someone does confront them about it, instead of just sending out the correct plates, they keep your money and issue store credit. Now my money is tied up and I risk the correct plates being out of stock by the time they get the wrong plates back. I’m also concerned that the wrong plates will show up again.
No doubt it's a good product, but don't count on getting what you ordered. My brother and I ordered some plates from them a few days apart from one another, and we both got the same WRONG plates. Then, when we tried to get it fixed, they wanted us to pay for the return shipping, and then they would give us store credit so we could order them again. Good product, terrible customer service.

We appreciate YOU Mike. Thank you 🇺🇸
You not only have an awesome gig but you have got the best freaking toys too. I love this armor, I need to seriously consider getting this
"But you'd be alive"-about the 500 magnum.
Would you though? That backface is nuts. Your ribs would tickle your spine.

I've seen IIIA penetrated by 9mm underwood 65-grain extreme defender +P from a glock G26 at 1726 fps and G10 at 1912 fps.
Very helpful video. Certainly something to consider
Man that’s impressive! I thought for sure the 5.7 would pass through. Always enjoy watching your armor test videos. Hope you’re having a great week!

There's a very good chance the back deformation from those rounds will cause fatal injuries to the wearer. Great vest and video.

Such great information. I may actually pull the trigger (no pun intended 😉) and buy this one. 👍
Good video brother. Impressed
Looks great. Thanks
Im considering this for executive protection work. Between this and the crye AVS 😬
Can't wait to take some of those to public land for muzzleloader 🦌 season. Public land is a war zone.
Gotta get some land backed up by forestry or blm land. It’s posh
**Laughs in Alaskan**
@@thebadfarmer it’s sooo laughable

I'm not quite sure taking a 500 magnum to the chest with soft body armor, that stopped the round, wouldn't end up with death either way.

Are these SPEAR/BALCS cut/compatible?
But will it stop the 9 mm Liberty defense
Great video
Nice
Kind of wondering why nobody does A "Coat of Plates"? Kevlar everywhere except where the plates will be?
Several of these results were like, "Yeah, you'll survive it, but you might wish you hadn't." 😅
nice

If you guys like body armor videos, I have a large and organized playlist open to watch!
So I'm assuming the 300blk super went through since you didn't show the results after you shot the armor with it?

Can you explain that big hole in your card-board box @ 7:44?

@@Will-W ty, bro! I get it now.
Anyone heard anything on shellback tacticals level iv ceramic plates?
At this point shouldn't we just go to 44 and 5.7 and that should tell us what's up?
Wasn't the.other that stopped 300b\o a budget 129$ vest? Or was that a level 3?

Magazine ban? As in round capacity limit for your firearm?
@@plusnew8306 10 round magazine capacity.
@@plusnew8306 Yes, anything over 10rds.
that amount of deformation would sure hurt.
wrap these on a three or five or whatever gallon jug full of water and let's see the results
