in one of their old videos, they said that seeing Gangnam Style inspired their dream of maybe one day doing something similar and they uploaded their first video (of them dancing to music in a random park, by now deleted)... so this may very well be their lifelong dream fullfiled. Congrats!
Mozart is an absolutely fascinating person. He was a pretty goofy guy with a crude sense of humor and no sense for dealing with money, yet the most brilliant music ever written just poured out of him like it was nothing! And it's not that he didn't work hard, but to him the music just came so comperatively effortless. Bach had discipline and responsibility in spades (probably from being a devout christian and a father of 20 children) and Beethoven literally tortured himself over his music, but Mozart just often procastinated and then came up with absolute brilliance in a few hours!

I am an orchestra conductor with a small UA-cam channel and I very often feel burnt out and don’t upload for months. I have no idea how they managed to do this for so long WHILE actively playing and touring, which is what I personally find most difficult; keeping it up while I have conducting engagements. So hats off to them, thank you for bringing classical music to some many new people; all the best for what’s next!

I’ve seen and processed the NYT article now. It’s hard being a content creator because it engenders this mentality that you need your fans’ approval for everything as that’s literally the metric for success. But the truth is you don’t need your fans approval for a lot of things in your life, including how you decide to wrap up this chapter. NYT is huge and does some decent journalism. It makes sense to want top journalists to help capture your feelings and intentions and bookend all that you’ve done so far. The parting videos require so much effort, impart so much creativity, and possess so much personality that it is such a meaningful way to bookend all the content you’ve created as TwoSet. Balancing your relationship with fans is hard. You guys are so genuine and that I think is a huge reason why you were so successful but it also makes you so vulnerable, especially to the immature and vitriolic comments that exist everywhere nowadays. Thank you for putting such thought into how you wanted to close this chapter. I look forward to your new chapter , applaud you for the growth that this conclusion exhibits, encourage you to always prioritize yourself and mental health first, and hope to see you both soon. 🎉 ~posting this on most of your upcoming vids on the hope you’ll see it

Yes, they have 4 million subscribers, but not all of them are actively watching.
In my opinion, we should give them some time to rest, especially since they’ve said they want to take a break themselves. They’ve been working as UA-camrs and uploading videos for 11 years. I’ve seen and processed the NYT article now. It’s hard being a content creator because it engenders this mentality that you need your fans’ approval for everything as that’s literally the metric for success. But the truth is you don’t need your fans approval for a lot of things in your life, including how you decide to wrap up this chapter. NYT is huge and does some decent journalism. It makes sense to want top journalists to help capture your feelings and intentions and bookend all that you’ve done so far. The parting videos require so much effort, impart so much creativity, and possess so much personality that it is such a meaningful way to bookend all the content you’ve created as TwoSet.
Balancing your relationship with fans is hard. You guys are so genuine and that I think is a huge reason why you were so successful but it also makes you so vulnerable, especially to the immature and vitriolic comments that exist everywhere nowadays.
Thank you for putting such thought into how you wanted to close this chapter.
I look forward to your new chapter , applaud you for the growth that this conclusion exhibits, encourage you to always prioritize yourself and mental health first, and hope to see you both soon. 🎉

But they confirmed recently, with the New York Times that they were retiring from YT, due to burn out and the constant criticism. These B2TSM videos (I believe there will be 6 in total) are their farewell to us

I love that this is also a callback to one of the original inspirations for TwoSet! They've talked about how they saw "Gangnam Style"go viral and wondered if they could do the same thing. (Remember the old "we watch our old video" video where they talk about the dance move they tried to come up with...) And now they have!
