In this episode, I share with you my thoughts of this 900HP Holden Commodore (VE) SSV Wagon. Derived from the famed Australian made economy cars, the SSV Commodore was the top of line variant, comprised of both luxury and sportiness. The SSV saw extreme success as it would become one of Australia's best selling cars. At the heart, a General Motors LS Engine has been selected to power the car, the 6.0L L98 was a brutally effective power plant for the car with an insane amount of potential.. And this car is the culmination of just that and so much more.

@@cheveburkinshaw860 yeah which is good, my friend has a 400hp (at the wheels) r33 gtst and it loses grip so easily and he's got good tyres (continentals 245/30/19 all round) but car is way lighter than this one so makes sense

Serious question man; after repairing it I’ve driven the 2J in your background pic. but what’s it like compared to the Nissan? Stock vehicles only....... I’ve had friends with GTR’s but never had the experience 🤷🇦🇺 some tubers get trolled for good reason 😁
If you’re ever in South Australia I have a 400 kw 1200nm Toyota aristo single turbo 2JZ that’s brutal to drive id love you to review it for something out of the ordinary

@ the 0:25 mark, I know who made that Australian Flag or at least back in the 1990's i did, it was a company called ACME in Perth Western Australia and at the time it was the largest flying au flag. :)

LS will run all day every day without it. Its never an issue.
@@natandaimzb7129 yeah nah man, sand, dirt or shit goes through the intake and it will cause havock no matter what kind of engine.
All it takes is for somebody to be mowing the grass or kicking up dust into the air as you drive past
@@mickeydee3595 how many open turbo engines have you built and driven. Personally, about 10+ 800hp+ turbo LS that have lasted 2 years +, only wearing internally as a typical boosted LS would.

Your videos are great but enough with the Commodore content fillers. You’re closing the door on so many markets. I’d rather see a well built 300hp any type of car than an 800hp otherwise stock Commodore. We’ve all owned Commodores. Show me an off tilt Volvo or Datsun, a classic 911, a track setup Megane/Focus RS/MX5. Some EVO/STI/GTR love too. I know you can do it 👍🏻

Also remember selling the age, Herald and the sun newspapers at Port Melbourne automotive and aircraft industries just near the bridge, every morning i would get up at 5am and get back home by 8am ready for primary school and then high school, also on Montague st as well during after school hours as well, both papers, used to take home around $25.00 per day, due to the cost of the newspapers was at 8 cents and everyone would pay with either 10.00 cents or 20 cents thus anything over 8 cents was mine to keep, :)
Government air craft factory GAF and also others including HOLDEN. :) Beast of a car those days of having that much power with out control of the power are long gone, back in the 1980's you would not be able to drive that much power without losing control or its just for drags its that simple? I bet the government will step in soon and limit how much a street driven car regsisted for road use and power it can have, if that happened, then every single car will have to go over the pits at VicRoads and other states as well to check emissions and total power at the crank, almost every after market tuner and supplier will go out of business full stop? If the government can stop Holden/ ford or the big boys from building supercars in the 1970's just think what they can do if they really wanted to?
Fuck! My dream wagon to be one day... I’ve got a Series 2 VE Wagon.. but the ultimate would be turbo and on bags all round! 🤤🤤🤤 but the most thing I want is that damn sunroof! 🤙🏽

Its a Wagon! Its a B00Sted V8! Has a 6 Speed! It checks all the boxes! Just one thing i did notice though ... with 650 rwkw, how is it possible that he can floor it in 2nd, and it dosent blow the tires off it? My XR6T, only has 443 rwkw, and there is no chance in hell i can floor it under 80kmh and not blow the tires off it? I think this is an overall beautiful build ... but the numbers dont add up for me? Thoughts?

@@properaussie331 Yes i own 2, ones a 408ci with a 2300 maggy built th400, other is a built L98 with a tr6060 daily driver. Defineltly agree with you there, they can handle good beatings, but 900hp with a stnd bottom end is pretty rare to hear about usually especially in my neck of the woods.

My vf maloo has the exact same turbo and set up. I only got 500kw and thats from an ls3 too 😔

Dumbass 500rwkw is 700hp. Your 6.2 turbo is fine. That’s the power it makes. Well atleast safely. Higher boost bends rods.
Also Manuel cars get 7-15% more power on dyno then auto cars do due to torque converter. Yours is probably auto im guessing?

900hp motor. 700hp tyres. Probably on hub Dyno so ready 600hp @ tyres then this is makes more sense yea?
