Very cool. My dad brought home a Russian Moisin Nagant, the short one, bolt action. It was stolen years ago but I still have his paperwork from the 3rd MarDiv provost marshall allowing him to keep it.
Just a few small pieces of info for you. The ash tray and vase were made from 105mm (4") artillery shell casings. They were fired from the M1A1 and later M102 towed howitzers. Also, the uniform you have hung up are called Service Alphas. The uniform your grandfather is wearing in the photo is known as Summer Tropical Alphas.
Thank you for the info about the uniforms im not very good with that stuff but yes they're Korean War dated 105s. He has bad hearing loss from them so he brings it up a lot lol

My grandfather captured an AK-47 and has told me the story many times but he decided not to keep it. I'm sorry that it was stolen from you
