It's "open world on rails", unique in it's own right. But you're not wrong. Regardless it's truly a wonderful game. But nothing touches Elden Ring, it's pretty unfair to compare pretty much any game to ER.
@@ScandociouslyHG Is there a post game I'm not aware of? Because when I beat the game my only option was to jump into NG+ and I didn't see any differences there
@@BuffedGaming Yes. And everything you said in that video happens in the post game. That's when Dragon's Dogma 2 starts. Also the story is short but there is tons of hidden secrets everywhere in the base game.
@@BuffedGaming Yes its a trick to getting there. Everything you said in the video is dropped once you hit the post game. Also, story maybe short but the game has quite a lot of hidden things in it. This is an exploration game like the 1st one. Story is 2nd.
Comparing games is something we all do, but probably shouldn't. Elden Ring and Dragon's Dogma 2 may *seem* similar, but they are actually vastly different games so I'm not sure it's a fair comparison to make. If Elden Ring didn't exist or you hadn't played it first, would you still be underwhelmed by Dragon's Dogma 2's world?
Fair point, I just meant in the open world department I feel like it falls a bit short compared to some of its contemporaries. But in my eyes its hard for anything to compare to Elden Ring so I might be doing DD2 a bit of a disservice by doing so.

Open world on rails is a good way to put it for sure. And fair point- Almost nothing compares to Elden Ring lol
Yeah, you should probably finish the game and see if you can make it to the post game 1st.
