What a contrast to the shocking interview with councilor Ian McMahon that Newzroom aired. As the founder of BEERHOUSE who was now forced to close for good, I THANK JP SMITH for his years of trying the right thing. It's a pity that SAPS has not been serious about investigating the Beerhouse murder so far and I do hope to see a difference going forward.
Sorry to see you go Randolf! I’ve had many beers at beer house over the years, especially the earlier years of beer house. Always welcome here in SA. It’s such a shame that this country is going to pot under these communist leaders. We will keep fighting here in Africa 👊🏼

These people must get 35yrs each in prison for blocking the growth of the country and when they get out they can see how much we have progressed without their interference. It should be treated like treason what they do to us, I don't know why they have more rights than us.
In our local informal settlement, the Somalian cafes pay the bribe/extortion AND the shebeens, who are allised to trade legally - beer, have ALL been approached by extortionists- R5000 up front and R2000 monthly. Heartbreaking that an old lady ,who sold sweets, was approached(invaded) and they realized she couldn't agree to pay, they removed ALL her furniture😮
That's sad to hear and I regularly try to emphasize in interviews these days that Beerhouse getting so much attention for it's closure is representing so many other businesses in the townships, construction and transport that close with much less noise...
It's nice to know the city is toughening their stance on crime. With proactive figures like JP Smith at the helm, I believe we are in good hands. Criminality must be dealt with as soon as possible, before it's too late.
