As a Nigerian, I see South Africans as our brothers. It's disheartening to see that many in South Africa aren't aware that we passionately supported their fight for freedom. It feels like our efforts have been forgotten, and now, instead of unity, there's tension. We were taught to respect and love our South African brothers, so when this animosity comes from them, it hurts even more. That's why many Nigerians are so upset-it feels one-sided. I mean we let them have billion dollar businesses in our country. So many investments that benefits their country, not ours. But we never really thought about it so deep, till they started Xenophobia. Its Sad my view on them changed.

The South Africa Government supposed to arrest the South African Guy that started this, simple.
Many Nigerians have lost their lives in south Africa due to xenophobic attacks. I watched some cases in news when i was in jss2 , watched another one when i was in tertiary institution. I have left university for d past 7years and i watched another one last year. I can tell you categorically that i dont dream to go to south Africa even for tourism much less for residence. What happened to Switzerland, U.K , USA even China. I cannot leave Nigeria that is d survival for d fittest and go to a country that has had xenophobic cases even before independence. The said Chidimma was qualified for that contest. I have watched several girls win Miss Universe title under d umbrella of Philippines when they aren't really Filipinos. Apart from that, i thought someone born there is automatically a citizen by birth. Some one who has spent like 10-15yrs is citizen by naturalisation.
