- Hey everyone! Today we are going to explore the way to find and get rid of an airbag light. There are 3 basic steps. Diagnose, Fix and, Erase. Once those steps are complete your airbag light will shut off!

When I hit the link for Amazon that is not the OBD reader that comes up what is the exact model number of the OBD reader you are using?
I have a fairly expensive unit which after my flashing airbag light came on and I read the diagnosis tells me my passenger occupancy module is the issue. However, at the same time I noticed my cruise control will not come on unless the steering wheel is turned all the way to the left. Could it just be the clock spring would cause both the passenger seat occupancy code and the cruise control to not work? Horn and everything else on the steering wheel works fine.
I have a 2015 jeep jk with a code U151. I have ohmed all the yellow plugs under the passenger seat and they all are ok. The only thing that showed no ohms was the drivers seat belt. The problem is the drivers seat has no yellow plugs. Does the seat belt control the seat belt light and air bag? The other plug under the drivers seat is for the slide but, it ohms out ok also. I have checked all wires and plugs. can you help?

I have a 2002 Toyota Tacoma. I replaced the Passenger SRS Ignition switch and air bag control module. The DCT's have been cleared but the light will not go off. I used a quality MATCO device, which was also unable to turn the light off. Stumped in NC. Suggestions?
Dude can you please help me. I got a honda odyssey 2000, I put in the work replaced everything including srs module, still getting 10.1 airbag deployed code how do I clear it man. Frustrating I pit a lot of time and money in. Not looking for hand holding man just needing some help.
I have a airbag light that comes on once in a while, also knocks out other accessories, like the a/c does not come on. I don't get an engine light. I will stop and restart vehicle and everything is fine. Is this an electrical issue in the switch, you think?

If your car has been in a accident you cannot reset codes regardless of the scanner you have to reset the module or replace the module
Do you need to replace the airbags first if they deployed before resetting, had a fender bender? Or will it reset without the airbags replaced? Thanks any feedback appreciated, n thanks for video.

whats the cheapest code reader I can get that will read and clear airbag lights on a 2016 subaru outback? I have an actron model that doesnt work. I called the company and they told me that solfware wont be downloadable for a couple more years for a 2016..... any suggestions? thanks
The cheapest ones that I have found that do SRS codes cost no less than $100. You also have to check and make sure it does your make and model before you buy it. Thanks for watching!

How do I remove the passenger side seat in a 2017 Ford 250 Transit Cargo Van? The airbag box is under the passenger side seat and I cant figure out how to disconnect the airbag wiring so I can remove the seat which I already unbolted. I have the passenger side seat airbag turned OFF.
I would go look for the fuse and disable it that way

only in service center of what brand you had. because after replacing the airbag system, it needs to program which dealer only have a software.

thanks ,,,,i am an old timer that does not even own a code reader or anything else for that matter ,,,i had family help for many years but people pass away now i am on my own lol ,,,,so that scanner you mentioned and show in discription is good for LOTS OF CARS ? now i own a nissan 2012, wil get another not to far from now ! i been wondering wich scanner to buy to get mysefl out of trouble in cases like this ! i am getting a passenger air back light flashing ,i key reset it like 2 times it wont reset anymore ? took off the seats checked all connections for tightness lubed wires with proper lube ! did not help , need to look more into it ,,,,,,,thanks for all your help i need to upgrade myself at 70 LOLL ,,,,,if i dont wanna pay these crooked dealers what they want ,,,,,,god bless

@@2carpros i unplugged the air bag seat cable when i removed the seats to clean and cover them drove the car while the passenger seat was out same with the drivers seat ( had a set that did not have the air bag cable) so i put the seats back in and replugged the cable so i should only have to scan for the code and then erase it and i should be good?
The airbag light comes on and off on my sebring. Will I be able to use the device when the light isn't on? It does it randomly.

I know that some of these posts are 10 months old but I really need help. I need to have some knowledge of what I'm speaking of when I go to the car repair shop. I have a 1992 geo metro SLI and just recently the airbag light stays on constantly while driving. I need to know if anyone can help me be more informed so I don't get taken advantage of. Not saying that they are all like that better if I'm somewhat informed.

Great video and sucks they still make ones that don't read airbags etc like WTF , kinda like my old BMW need BMW only software that is an effort to get to work but go into BMW and there latest software can connect but they wont do shit unless you pay them a fortune and then they still go we can't fix that...like the sync on my throttle bodies

Can this reset module after deployed airbag replacement?
In therory as long as the module isn't required by the manufacturer after airbags deploy then yes this theoretically should be able to clear the codes/reset the module. But some manufacturers require the module be replaced after airbag deployment.
This scanner that is linked is no longer available. The "newer" one that Amazon suggests from the same brand can't read SRS/Airbag codes nor clear them.
Research ones similar to this model, but be aware that it MUST include the abilities to clear the codes for the SRS. Also make sure your vehicle is one that can work with the tester. It's shocking, but not all of these testers are compatible with all models across the board. Funny because ODB2 is a standard, but I guess dealers and mechanics want us to spend tons of money for deep scans.

Yea I have one, those are a dime a dozen. But abs and srs codes are, much more complicated requiring a more powerful scanner and software

Not going to buy a new scanner. If, my seat didn't come unplugged, it will be fixed with piece of duct tape. Just like the duct tape over ABS light.
I bought some useless luxorparts obd for 60$. And now I cant return it. Wtf is the point of these half assed good for nothing plastic box garbage.....
