Thanks a lot. It's an I4 CVT. I think Honda's CVT have improved. From my research, the earlier glitches in 2013 & 2014 were addressed from the 2015 Accords.

Congrats on your car, nice video, do you have any idea if one of the airbags is missing, and the crash sensor has been reset, will the other airbags deploy in Cas of an accident, or should all the airbags be fixed in order for the srs system to work?
Many thanks! All airbags need to be replaced and crash data cleared. As long as the airbag light is on, no other airbag should deploy.
Do you have any experience with a 2005 Honda accord? I am wondering if I replace the airbag and sensor, it will reset itself? Or should I get the scanner tool and scan and see if the SRS module will need replaced and reprogramed??
After replacing those parts, the module must be cleared of crash data or replaced for the SRS light to go out and the system work correctly.
Do you have any recommendations for a good scan tool that is not as expensive as autel max pro but has the same features as this thanks

I've never done this repair before but my girlfriend's car (2001 for focus) had steering wheel and passenger dash bag go off. If I buy new bags and install them the chance of them going off is zero correct? I know I have to buy a new airbag diag module but I'm just paranoid of them going off as I've never worked on airbags before.
I won't say the chance is zero. Airbags have been known to go off from being triggered by static electricity. Some have had airbags deploy while trying to change the steering wheel car emblem.
If you plan to do this yourself, I'd say you invest some good time reading around SRS work, know the do's and don'ts, including specifics for Ford. E.g. Honda and Toyota say you must disconnect and leave the battery disconnected for at least 3 min before working in the vicinity of an airbag. Ford may be different.
In the end, it's really easy once you know the things to look out for, but if you're not confident enough maybe you want to have a professional do it?
Do you know if your new module will require programming to work? I can't say for Ford. Honda, yes. Toyota, mostly does not.
Hello bro. I have the same car but was involved in a side crash. I replaced the passenger side doors, side curtain airbag, and passenger seat. The then sent out the SRS unit to clear the crash history but I’m still showing an airbag light. I’m guessing the next step is to scan the system to look for faults? Appreciate your help 🇳🇬

Actually the scan should have preceded the repairs, because it helps flag all the components to replace. The passenger occupant detection module will mostly likely need a reset. But see what the scan result says. Give me a mention when you have the result.
I would love your advice. When I select "read codes" it shows "System Pass, No Fault Codes Detected". However, our airbag light came on after hitting a dog on the highway. No airbags deployed but our light came on. Advice?
Is it the SRS module that you're scanning? What car is it? What scanner are you using. I once had a Foxwell scanner that was SRS-enabled but would miss certain SRS codes.

Depends in where you're based and budget. The dealer will have it but its usually quite pricey. Used OEMs are also good, Ebay and some other sites. Also, the junkyard...

I don't know any physical shops, but loads of online repair services. safetyrestore.com myairbags.com, and Ebay listings too. The 1st two also fix seatbelts.
Question. I have a 2002 Ford mustang. After 20 mph accident in the front bumper, driver and passenger airbags went off. Only Airbag light on dash, no SRS. After installing airbags back in, how can I turn off Airbags on dash? Thank you
Start by scanning the SRS module in the car to see what needs to be replaced. The codes there will help you move forward. If the passengers were wearing seatbelts they need to be replaced or restored, also the crash sensors. I scan will detail the required repairs.
I'm not aware that Fords have separate airbag and SRS lights. The airbag light represents the warning light for the SRS as a whole. It will be on even if there a problem with a seat belts.
I've seen many cars that have been in accidents the airbag deployed and the check engine light or the airbag deployment light has never illuminated
Something is not working correctly in those cars. I know the 2014 Toyota Corolla or so had a recall on the SRS and it was exactly for this. The dashboard light maybe dead as well. Trying scanning those cars with an SRS-enabled scanner to see what codes you find.

1. I use the Autel MP808TS. I left links in the video description. There would be other scanners with SRS access, but this is the one I use.
2. I haven't done the SWS reset video yet! For some reason, after doing the SWS reset off camera and having the crash data cleared, I don't see the option for the reset. That said, I'm on the lookout for a fitting car to demonstrate this.

There are tools built for clearing crash data. Google tools for clearing crash data. Requires significant know-how too.

You will have to start by scanning the cars SRS module. That's what will guide your repair apart from the obvious airbag/seatbelt deployments.
So what do you do when you airbags doesn’t deploy but your light is on front minor damage?
Scan the car with an SRS-capable scanner to know what's tripping the light.

He is basically telling the correct process but yes if you want you could just have the module reset then put resistors in place of the airbags but atleast he is showing the correct way
Since airbags save lives, I won't advise anyone to use resistors....

Scan the SRS module for codes. What car is it? Some cars will need their ODS/SWS RESET to finally clear the light.
If you have the srs module reset and one of the new air bags are bad will i be able to clear the remaining codes once fixed again
You won't be able to clear the codes until crash data is deleted and good airbags are installed. On some cars e.g. Toyota, the ODS will need to be caliberate too.
@@DIYAutoworksNG safety restore said they reset mine its on the way back airbags were replaced but with used ones so its possible one might be bad or something was just making sure it wont lock it out again to were they can't be deleted i have a scan tool capable of calibrating the weight sensor but they said i shouldn't have to

So do you buy your airbags new? If so, from where? Or do you buy from say a salvage yard or from an online airbag store that sells undeployed bags that were taken from damaged cars?
Got mine used at a store that sells used car parts.
My old babysitter she has a 2016 Honda Accord but she got into a accident and the airbags deployed and she was unfortunately hurt her wrist were hurt but um her accord is now totaled and she no longer has the 2016 Honda Accord 😭. I’m sad that she got hurt and she lost her car so she now has a pilot so that would not be easy for us to repair on her car.

Yes. It turned off without having to unplug the battery terminal.

Apart from the screen does any other thing stay on? Looks like a short in the circuit. What is the trim of the car? Let me see if I can find the circuit diagram.

Should I replace clock spring on this also seat weight sensor says no detection. I am using the maxi elite 960 the latest scanner for programming keys

I wouldn't replace the clockspring except if other things on the steering wheel are not working e.g. Horn, cruise control buttons etc. It is normal for the passenger seat weight sensor to say not detected as it would need to be calibrated after you replace the airpags and clear crash data from the module.

I don't think it's as simple as replacing the airbag because the gas has to be refilled and a new sensor be installed etc otherwise the airbag wouldn't work again

Airbags should only be replaced not repaired. Sodium azide is one of the chemicals in there, but I wouldn't venture that far or encourage anyone to. That's left for the manufacturers. There's nothing like refilling the gas of an airbag.
@@DIYAutoworksNG why not? I think after the airbag deployed the gas gets emptied therefore it needs new gas or a gas replacement

Difficult to say without seeing the car in person. Seems it was quite bad for all the airbags to deploy. Multiple impacts?
@@DIYAutoworksNG to be honest i wasn't really that bad , it was hit on the passenger side , it jus damaged the coolant reservoir radiator and the turbo wastegate i got everything replaced, all airbags did go off tho , if i start it up with the help of cables it turns on but its weak and no acceleration at all no rpms going up no nothing , then it eventually turns off ,

What of wiring, no damage? There's just so many variables when it comes to a no-start after an accident, but from what you've described, sure there isn't a vacuum leak around the replaced turbo. Tough to advise further without seeing the car.
