WHAT A COINCIDENCE! I just had my shop foamed today and imagine that, this video pops up right after the guys leave. If you think your not being listened to by your phone think again!
Yep. A few years back, my husband watched a documentary about prohibition, bootleggers and moonshine. My phone happened to be on the speaker near the TV, for weeks after that I received all kinds of advertisements, recommendations, etc all related to moonshine, how to design a still, famous bootleggers etc.
Big big difference in the feeling of having a shop at a place of renting vs having a shop that' we own- I've had all and had big shops that look nice and fancy and have had shops made from raggedy wood and scrap and tbh the place that we own that's ours has a way better feel than one we rent. Some of the best work that I've created came from a barn with tarps on the walls and gravel floor.
I've never owned a house and probably won't, can't do much with 28k a year but I inherited land so a shop is going up for sure, Richard ain't kidding about a shop making money. I rent because it's what I can afford and it's way cheaper than owning lol, rent the landlord pays for broken things as a owner that crap hurts the already bleeding pockets I mean seriously who has 10 grand they can just toss at a new HVAC system or even 8 grand for a new shingle roof lmao I don't even have a hundred bucks to my name..
Very nice looking shop. Be neat to see it painted and finished. With a fancy new shop, you'll have to make sure you keep it clean! Ha ha. I'm curious about one thing. Usually when I see spray foam, its normally big and puffy. Why didn't you use that type of product? Again, just curious. Thanks for showing it.😊😊
Nice y'all must've moved or something haven't seen a video in a minute lol, ive honestly never considered a house mainly for two reasons renting is cheaper than owning and if something breaks it's on the landlord to fix lol, but a shop is really nice to have and im building one on my property. Definitely can always make money out of a shop for sure, looks good that spray foam should keep it decent in there.
It looks rather thin.. I've seen it blow in 12" thick in attics.. They filled the rafters and the joists that thick... It was like walking into different world. lol
If it's closed cell foam, like it appears to be, it's plenty deep at 3-4" for a shop. It's vapor proof at that thickness and as real world efficient as R-26 to R-30 batt insulation. Attics only get blown in that thick to meet residential code; which is written for the lowest common denominator, cheap contractors poorly installing cheap batt insulation. Only "downside" of spray foam is that you have to be honest and properly manage your IAQ or you're gonna have a bad time.
Richard, we think your son is posting your videos on his channel assuming this is his channel. Please do a video explaining if this is being posted by you. It just seems odd.
For those of you who are confused, this is what I figure has taken place. All these videos coming out here in the last few days are actually a year old. They can be found on Richard's other channel. Trent had control of this channel(otherwise, why did Richard start a new one?) and deleted all comments from any previous videos and turned comments "off". One of two things has possibly happened. A) They have kissed and made up, or B) There has been a ruling by either the courts or UA-cam giving Richard the ability to start posting videos again on this channel.
When i try and post a link to the other channel 2 times it was deleated so im thinking the kid is doing it, on the plus side i found the other channel.
To the OP......I think you hit the nail on the head 😎👍 I think Richard is posting these to get people up to speed if they haven't seen his new channel.
@@gillboardman8998 There is a very good reason this channel is active again. As I stated before, he has somehow regained access to this channel. The other channel wasn't doing so good as he has less than 25 thousand subs after a year or more. Early on, they had tried posting links to their new channel but Trent kept deleting them and eventually edited all the videos to show "Comments turned off". This channel with it's larger sub base is more profitable for Richard. Unfortunately, it will be the same old. 4L60E and 68RE teardowns. Occasional 6l80 thrown in for interest. He will still refuse to show any rebuilds. Out of all the years and videos he has posted, there is only ONE rebuild to his credit - a TH350. All of the white collar wannabes will still marvel at his "skills" and keep this channel going somewhat. I for one have moved on to the plethora of other channels here that not only show complete rebuilds, but also a varying range of makes and models. I only clicked on this video because it came to my notifications box.
Paint it with a commercial grade sprayer. You can rent one. Don’t buy one, rent it or borrow one from a friend. Remember👉🏽commercial grade. Put a 5ft. extension or wand on the gun. You’ll cover more area, and it keeps your face(nostrils) further away from the surface being sprayed. If you’re gonna try and brush and roll all of that, you’re gonna die. Take it from a pro, spray it. You oughta use some exterior oil base. Yes, exterior oil base. It’ll last. You ain’t in California, so you can probably still find oil base paint. I could still find it in California too, I’d have to go like 60 miles from the Bay Area to get it😉. I used to go out of my way for my good customers, friends and family. Oil base will cost a little more, but it’s worth it. It wipes 🧻 🧼 🧽 clean
Glad to see that you’re getting a new shop. I have been watching your videos for years and can’t wait to see more repairs. You are blessed every day.
Richard, up here in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, we use spray foam to super insulate homes to keep warm - and lower heating bills - at -40
By golly that’s amazing!!! Teresa APPROVED!!!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 (and Annie!❤️)
Your new Shop really looks awesome! Wishing You all the very best!👍
WHAT A COINCIDENCE! I just had my shop foamed today and imagine that, this video pops up right after the guys leave. If you think your not being listened to by your phone think again!
I was just suggested a video about carbon dating- the day after I was silently thinking about it. All alone.

I for one are sooo jealous dude! That is one nice work space.
Looking nice
I can only imagine how nice it will be when the equipment all set up
I too enjoyed watching transmission videos. Can't wait to have some more.
can't wait to see the new shop up and running
Hey Richard the shop looks great, it’s going to be awesome.😁👍🇦🇺
I'd be in Heaven with a garage that big 😍
I am about to start a build on my shop and I am doing the same having it all spray foamed
Excellent !
Richard's the man! ;)
It needs intumescent paint over it for fire resistance. Oil paint is not appropriate over CCSF.
Love it. Suuuuper super flammable tho. Grinder sparks burnt down a seacan lined with this stuff at work. Be safe! Enjoy the new shop!
Most fire codes require an intumescent coating\paint,, which absolutely helps with sparks\indirect fire
Looking good. That will save tons on heating and cooling
Looks good. Hope things are going better
I’m delighted to see that you are still working on transmissions. I think I’ve watched every single episode on the channel. Hope you come back strong!
Yeah I currently bought a house. Working on the shop now. It's small but it is mine. Actually shopping around for my tool cart, chests at the moment.

Looks nice
you want to vent the area out for a day before going inside there.
I was hoping you guys were still doing your thing. I just wish I lived closer.

Nice
What happened to the old shop?
Typical American drama can't even understand what they have before it's gone
I wondered what happened y'all. Gotta keep moving forward or that old age will catch up to you. God bless folks!
N I C E !!!
Getting there
🧐 what is this, are we back?
Bit by bit!😊
Just left you a msg on previous video. Blessings.
Is this at your residence Richard?
How good will that be working from home when you want how you want🤙🇦🇺
New shop?
No sorry
Are these old videos of your current shop but in the making videos made when the channel was going down?
I wish he would explain.
👍
🟥 Beautiful shop...What's the size please?
It looks rather thin.. I've seen it blow in 12" thick in attics.. They filled the rafters and the joists that thick... It was like walking into different world. lol

What's IAQ?

Fresh paint! A couple bikini babe calenders, and and some good music, back in business!
Looking Good 👍
Missed you guys. Can you do an update video
That looks like a metal building, wouldn’t you get condensation between the metal and the spray foam?
Very nice! is that a 60x40?
Wonder that also.
Mount some LED shop lights, vertically . the light improvement will surprise you😎☕
what is the new channel ?"
What’s the size of your shop? If you don’t mind sharing. Thanks.
Large
60×40
Call me ignorant but if paint is being put down tomorrow, shouldn't there be massive fans running to air out and cure that?
Get some good air circulation going in there. Spray insulation off-gases toxic fumes.
Is this stuff flammable if it is find a fire retardant
Richard, we think your son is posting your videos on his channel assuming this is his channel. Please do a video explaining if this is being posted by you. It just seems odd.
Fire retardant foam I hope or fire proof cladding going over it?
Looks like Richard either got his old channel back or his son is using his videos
It is odd for sure. I think his son is posting these.
dont breath that foam stuff. your lungs are to precious.
Gonna be a b$&); if you need to replace any of that tin.
ONE BIT OF ADVICE DO NOT HAVE YOUR HOUSE DONE . WITH FOAM . OK TO DO YOUR BUSINESS PLACE . BUT NOT YOUR HOME . I HOPE YOU LISEN .
Spray foam is way too expensive. I used 2” thick foam 4x8 sheets and double bubble reflective insulation over it . Way cheaper and way more effective
Why didn't you zoom in and show us the product up real close and give a detail of the texture ??
Waste of my time watching
Incoherent
You will definitely tell a huge difference between no insulation and foam insulation looks great buddy thanks for sharing

I’m on the same line of thinking. Hopefully they made up and all is good.
When i try and post a link to the other channel 2 times it was deleated so im thinking the kid is doing it, on the plus side i found the other channel.
Lol. I feel sorry for the guys that have missed a yr of content. And also for the trolls and judgementals... God bless.
