    The jimping on top of the blade

      I agree that was the first thing I thought of. How would you use it?

      That jimping on the blade seems completely pointless.

      Yeah, unless you have 2 thumbs on one hand,… that’s what stood out to me too.

    No double edge. Thumb rest....which you cannot use when holding it as intended on the back of the blade. $70 for a Chinese knife with unremarkable steel is a huge factor on why I wouldn't buy it personally though.

      Single edged blade is actually better. Stronger, more stable and more legal to carry in more places.

      @spwan10 Місяць тому

      @@podsmpsg1it manifest purpose is for combat, traditional it was not made to be for utilitarian purposes, and if they gave it a chisel ground on both sides it would still be legal to carry (but legality depends on ur state laws)
      For example in Cali A Screw Diver can and is considered a dirk or dagger, as well as an ice pick (but have no edge) and both are illegal for u to carry on ur person or in ur care for the primary purpose for defense
      So u better have a reason other than self defense to carry.
      But CA sucks in general.
      Just know if officer or prosecutor wants to press it as an issue they will

      @@spwan10 Yeah. I live in CT. Double edge push knives are illegal to carry on you in public, but legal to own. Illegal to carry knives with blades 4 inches or longer here. The length on that is 3.7 and singled edged, so it should be okay.

    Weak point in the steel. The narrow area in between your finger where they have the screw is very narrow and one would think be a weak point.

    The finger choil vs the jimping...it's in the wrong spot. Should be higher than the jimping.

    It wasn't designed to be utilitarian. That type of blade is for defensive purposes. It's pretty nice and the edge retention is very good, for a tough, budget stainless steel. $70.00 is a pretty good deal for that, a lot of other knives like that are $100.00+.

    The Thumb groove with jimping on the top of the blade is completely useless unless you have some kind of 8" multi jointed thumb.

  • @SoundStream101
    @SoundStream101 Місяць тому +1

    The jimping on top of the blade is for your index finger maybe for cutting pepperoni or something lol, but I think they should have made the blade 3 in. where it's legal in most States!.. they have it at 3.7in..

    Weird blade for a punch dagger. It's got almost an edc/utilitarian blade which at best in a tactical sense would be best for slashing. A symmetrical dagger grind is the norm on these things for a reason.

    considering the colors its pretty obvious that this is not designed by someone from the combatives world. blue and orange as well as red are reserved for dromes/trainers/inert tools in that world.

    That thumb choil with gimping on the spine of the blade makes absolutely zero sense and I'm assuming that has to be the problem.
    It's yet another thing you'll only find with Chinese knives, you aren't going to find an American or European made knife with nonsense like this, because the manufacturing costs are high enough that you would not do something like this because it could kill your product.
    The Chinese can make random nonsense because they're not out as much if it fails to sell, they can hope people don't know any better and just see it as a neat aesthetic feature or something.
