Beautiful Epoxy Scrap Wood Desk

This afternoon I just finished a new desk project for a friend. I took many scrap pieces of wood from past projects, cut them down to size using my table saw, and glued them together for the top. I then sanded the top and put a trim around the edge after the first coat of epoxy . I used epoxy for the final finish on the top and delivered it to my friend. I think it absolutely turned out beautiful.

I recently moved fro St Louis to S California...to a studio apt my son made for me. I had to leave 95% of my things as the new space is SMALL. I was determined to bring my keyboard. SOOOO, I built a table to fit over the keyboard (out of a hollow luan door and scrap 1x4) The legs were detachable. The keyboard is on a rolling cart...so when I want to play, I roll it out...and then back when finished playing. so I will have a place to use the lap top or eat dinner..
