Headaches in Long COVID and Post-Viral Syndromes

    Bateman Horne Center has partnered with the University of Utah Health to conduct a Long COVID and Post-Viral Syndromes ECHO (Project ECHO). This series delivers information to healthcare professionals utilizing short didactics and case-based learning to enhance their ability to manage patients with long COVID, ME/CFS, FM, and related comorbid conditions.
    Brayden Yellman, MD, addresses:
    - Post-viral headache prevalence
    - Impairments in those with headaches
    - Proposed pathophysiological mechanisms for long COVID headache
    -Clinical features of headache/migraine
    -Pathophysiologic considerations: orthostatic intolerance, CCI, connective tissue disorders, mast cell activation syndrome, viral reactivation, sleep disruption, TMJ, sympathetic overdrive
    -Treatment considerations

    Found traction helps headaches and vision. Started sleeping in a cervical collar . Reduces severity of morning headaches. Diagnosed with me and cci and pots

    Did we know at what tissue temperature did SARS COV2 better replicate ?
    Why ?
    Because at TWiV 659 at min29 virologist Christian Drosten suggest that SARS COV2 better replicate at very low tissue temperature.
    Did higher mucouseal respiratory temperature protect against Covid19 ?
    But how can maintain higher mucouseal respiratory temperature If thermogenesis are weakened by different causes ?
    Did SARS COV2 induce persistent infections ?

    Benadryl makes me a lot more tired!

      Benadryl is on the no-no list for ALZ. I’ll only use it in an extreme emergency, i.e. bee sting or insect bite that swells. I’ve been using vitamin B-1 with good results.
