I'm living with the replacement lower control arm/ball joint combination. If there was a way to test before installing the ball joints, I'd like to know. Replies to comments below have similar resolution. Thanks for watching.
Replaced the lower control arms twice (with Ball joints), and it seemed to help a bit. I would have replaced the spindles, but when I redid the front end, only salvage 65 spindles were available (which is fine if they are better than the original). I stuck with the original. I may have to go with the remanufactured 67+ and bigger bearings. Which changes the rotors, etc. Thanks for watching!
Thanks Joe. I actually replaced them, and they got a bit better. I'll try that and see what it looks like next time I have it up in the air. And thanks for watching!
So, did you get the issue resolved? What was the culprit?

Rocking back and forth like you were doing is the only way I know to test it. There was definitely a lot of play in it.
Looks like the spindle is worn out

Shouldnt be on full droop like that. Try putting your jack under the control arm so its simulating ride height.
