I know the last season with Eugene was supposed to be chaotic but I’ve never seen anything more genuinely chaotic than him suddenly taking out backpack salmon and then yelling “I’m making fishbread for my sister!” 😭😭
he didn't realize in the past that he is more chaotic just naturally being himself haha
What when??
That had me cackling. Eugene is this quiet agent of creative chaos. You just know to expect something absolutely mad will be made and you are gonna have a fun time, even if it's not good. The journey is the fun, and what a journey of backpack salmon brioche to open faced Michelin star level gorgeousness.
Last season with Eugene? WHAT??

Zach's reaction to Eugene hugging him at the end was equivalent to how a cat owner looks when their normally aloof cat cuddles with them.
Zach is a cat person too, so this honestly explains him and Eugene's friendship dynamic
Lmao perfect analogy 😂

They should do an anonymous episode where the judges don't know who cooked what 😂
Or presentation roulette where they present each other's dishes! So the judges don't know who cooked what, but we don't lose the fun presentation bit

Absolutely the best part of the show 😂😂😂
Three thoughts during judging:
1. Has no one on this show ever heard of an OPEN FACED SANDWICH??!
2. I would LOVE to know how much each contestant's dish costs to make
3. Rosanna has never looked so tiny
I thought the same 😂 open faced sandwiches are my favorite, specially the ones that have raw salmon on it also there are sandwiches that are eaten with fork and knife, like the francesinha

That’s what I was thinking, I sometimes have open-faced sandwiches with butter, salmon and cucumbers on them
She looked absolutely itty bitty when they made a lifesized dress cake.
Even when Josh broke it down, I STILL don’t know how Zach won lol
haha well Eugene's lost for not being a sandwich, and overall Zach's tasted better than Keith's, and was more creative than Marissa's
@@falconawesome this is the ONLY time they’ve ever cared more about it being a “sandwich” over the taste though lol
Literally if Eugene sandwich was sliced a little bit thinner he would’ve won. Whereas Zach they didn’t like an ingredient in the dish. I feel like Eugene should’ve won because the two differences although not a make or break Eugene is a fixable mistake without altering the dish whereas Zach is
I’ve also seen other episodes where they did lose based on it not being the food, and it depends on how close, and watching Rosanna struggle was rough. And the judging criteria changes with guest judges and it’s all for fun. Buuut if you’re passionate about the judging + try guys then maybe buy tickets to the live show! LOL The kitchen where chaos reigns every day
Also they did alioli without batting an eye, when they have struggled with it so much in the past lol

Finding out Keith lied about cinammon raisin being his Dad's favorite flavor is by far the worst fact I have ever found out about a Try Guy.
Eugene being so delighted about his backpack salmon made my day
Made mine too! I strive to be that chaotic in my life

It's the anti drama, drama, that we try fans deserve
They seem to have traded specials. Eugene made a Family member's Favourite and Keith made a boozy item
Marissa's judging felt so wholesome especially after Keith said it looked like a c*m sandwich 😂
They said it had "seminal essence" basically a fancy way of saying it looked like C*m.
@@yellowishgreendragon.-.Yeah, it's like they missed that joke completely.
Loving Eugene commiserating Marissa at the end saying that they had made bread a few times before. That was kind.
Josh's comment about the chihuahua being still TECHNICALLY a dog made me laugh out loud. Followed by Keith's "We've even been to a third location." LOVE IT.
My dog felt attacked by that comment
I had to pause the video to laugh at "We've even been to a third location."
Honestly the hug Eugene gave Zach at the end was so genuine and sweet, and the flabbergasted look on Zach’s face through the hug was even better lol
very much giving "if I move even the tiniest muscle I'll spook him"
It was my favorite moment of the season
"it's happening, Eugene is hugging me ...wait, what do I do? 😱"
I feel like Josh is the perfect judge for this show. He deals with such weird food that he can make sense of all their weirdness and he just appreciates it all. I love when Rosanna tried to be one of the boys and attempted to bite that monster of s sandwich 😂😂 she was like "bet" 😅
I always love the expert going “here’s what you want to do, and don’t do this,” and then immediately seeing them do exactly the opposite of what the expert said to do, and do exactly what the expert said not to do
Rhett or link should be a judge sometime. They aren't food experts but they are used to eating weird things and I would love to see it

So hear me out! The try guys should do a candy season of without a recipe...like salt water taffy, lollipops, gummy candies and candy bars...so many flavor combos so much creativity!!! ❤
I’m really glad they allowed Marissa to have a sour dough starter! It made the competition a little more fair for her since the other three have made bread before
I think they forget Rachel has provided them with starter before, so bringing starter should be allowed.
Also it's not like it actually gave her an advantage. 😂
Well starter is an ingredient in sour dough bread, and making a new starter takes days so it makes sense to allow it.
I don't see why it would be considered unfair, it's just another ingredient
sour dough pb&j sounds bad. I've never made sour dough - is the starter what makes the bread taste like sour dough? Does the starter make it sour or is it just yeast?
“Only cheaters do math” me immediately thinking of a chemistry major that was a cheater…. Hysterical 😂
Well someone didn’t do the math to see that times up
For Nets sake, Jeb better be making money for the kids because I think Ted suller still hasn’t found a Job I think. Hopefully he got professional help.
The fact that the comments reminded me of him because I completely forgot about him while watching says a lot about how forgettable he is
I've always loved Ro as a judge, but I think Josh is climbing up the ladder to be my favorite without a recipe judge. He just seems like he has so much fun no matter how weird the food is. I love his energy!
The way Zach looked when he said they decided against his “Queefin Seafen” makes me feel like he was so down to make all of his food queef themed and everyone else was just like “no Zach, we can’t do that” 😂🤣😂🤣 he looked so defeated
God i love josh as a judge. He is so descriptive in the most wild way "its a sandwich in the same way that a chihuahua is a dog"
It's also refreshing to see him so positive about the experience of even the things that didn't taste that good.
Zach claiming he is also "in a way" honouring the women in his family and then following "queef" is criminal 😭 I will assume Rachel prevented the queefin seafen

Technically Open Faced sandwiches has their own name. at least where im from in Europe and they are not classified as a sandwich there. Not to mention its made with rey bread, as it actual rey bread and not just dark toast bread.
@@TKDDLJ09 it sounds like what you're describing is a specific thing. Open-faced sandwiches can be any type of sandwich made with any type of bread
@@ChlosterSays it's amas legit been discussed so many times. Like if Hotdogs are sandwiches. It's even in US food law somewhere that it's has to be 50% bread I believe, for it to be considered a sandwich. But an open faced sandwiche is Smørebrød. That's where it comes from.
First of all that would be a hard sell. Second I don’t open faced sandwiches should have a lot of small loose ingredients like caviar and scallops. Third it should at least be folded to a whole sandwich.
In the end the judges were right. And if they weren’t told that was a sandwich, it feels like a fancy dish

Eugene being able to do a 5 strand braid with soft dough is one of the most impressive things I've seen him do
One of my favourite parts of this whole series is when the expert says "Never do this, you will ruin your [bread/cake/whatever]" and they cut to someone doing exactly that
Ok but i would LOVE a Mythical Kitchen collab where they recreate the sandwiches they judged into actually edible versions !
And i’m absolutely HAUNTED by the quick clip of zach cutting an onion with a BREAD KNIFE
I love how Eugene's open faced sandwich could easily be paired with something like a steak sandwich and then it could be marketed as a bougie sandwich version of surf'n'turf.
I wouldn't consider it open faced because it seems the caviar much less the seafood would fall apart
I quite like how it seems like all the dishes were actually quite successful this time around. Usually there's one or two that just doesn't work, but it seemed like all these sandwiches were, at the very worst, perfectly fine foods.
Except maybe the very salty soursop one
Marissa was adding that salt and I was sitting here like "GIRL NO STOP, PLEASE STOP"
I love how Josh is the supportive house wife will Trevor makes the bread😂
I just wanna look out for my boy Eugene and say.... why did not one chef think of an open face sandwich. Hurt just hurt lol
Rosanna still chewing Eugene's sandwich with all her might as Josh gives out compliments on the flavor was a fun sight to see
Love how, when Eugene was hugging Zach and rocking him back and forth, Zach just looked. So confused
