It is a lovely marina, but it's SO far away from the rest of the canal network. We're now on the Ashby canal which is much better situated for visiting different areas

He was a real find - not just talented, but conscientious and hard working too. Glad we moved the boat, but it was best where it was whilst we were doing so much work inside. Hallingbury is only 10 miles from our home, which was very convenient for doing all the DIY.
Something about them that's always fascinated me. Lovely Historic Railway on the Ashby canal - the Battlefield Line. That's going to get a few visits 😁
