Please note: Maple Treeway, DK Summit, Mario Circuit 3 are from the Booster Course Pack - Reforged project. They are pretty much Custom Tracks on how insane they look!
15:00 this one is so cool and creative. You don't see many tracks (official or custom) that really push the half pipe mechanic and this one embraces it so creatively
@A_guy_named_Aven_alt I get that it's supposed to have a night time aesthetic, but I'm saying it's TOO dim. All I'm saying is can't they brighten the lighting a bit and try to make it to where you have headlights on the kart? It would be visually better that way.
Now that I've looked at it more, I am kinda mixed on the reforged version of SNES Mario Circuit 3. Like, I DO like it, but at the same time, it feels a bit too busy, as if there are 7 different background objects fighting for my attention at any given time. Also, background objects feel like they are placed there just to fill empty space rather than with rhyme or reason. I think it would be cute if one corner of the background was the dedicated "Toad village" area, a place where all of the Toad houses are grouped together to form this mini-town rather than just sprinkled about the track like they currently are. Stuff like that to make it feel more like an actual place that just copied-and-pasted assets.
Wow, seeing the original Yoshi Circuit model in 8DX really shows just how much remaking the track matters. That model does NOT work with this game's controls
As the person who made that mod, I'll counter with GCN YC's model being extremely close to the original when laid on top of each other. For the most part, it works just fine but the issues arise with the shortcut under the track as you've seen.
Ngl, the GCN Rainbow Road made by ChirpyLuNa is the best version of that track from the modding scene. They nailed it: what it should look, how it looks, the width, the lightning, the updates, the color saturation... Big fan of theirs for being the first to not halfass one of the aspects that makes GCN RR amazing. And I must say, color saturation is THE detail that sells mod tracks, even the amazing Reforged tracks become less impressive because they loose the cartoon essence that Super Mario and Mario Kart are known for (seriously, that SNES MC3 with a bit more color saturation would be PERFECT, but they fell short outta perfection).
Thanks for using my song in a showcase! The second I saw Aqua Pura Woods was in this video, I knew that was where my song was. You definitely could not have picked a better CT to use it with. One thing I'm wondering is why there's a wall there on RMX Sherbet Land (15:05), that seems like it would be really hard to deal with especially on 200cc. I think it would make more sense to just be able to go right through that section and have the half-pipes serve another purpose (such as getting items)
I can't be the only one who isn't a fan of those reforged tracks. Simply replacing the textures with "higher quality" textures doesn't really improve the look, in many cases it actually makes it look worse...
I think they're pretty good for the most part but the big problem I have with them is that they desaturate and suck the color out of so many elements of tracks and people don't seem to have any problem with it, I even saw a comment saying that the original tracks were too saturated like wtf? This is a Mario game blud, not Zelda
Adding extra background details never hurts imo, but yeah the textures sacrifice the cartoonish vibrancy for photorealism and it loses some of its charm
I think you missed the part where most of the track is completely remodeled. Compare the background of Reforged Wii Maple Treeway to 8DX Wii Maple Treeway and it's night and day.
i think that the final section of Bowser's doomship feels too short compared to the other sections section 1 time: 44s622ms section 2 time: 37s940ms section 3 time: 26s111ms finishing time: 1m48s673ms
Unfortunately no there’s nothing in the castle as I created the track itself, while it’s based off the version you’re thinking, importing all of their ideas into an actual course would be impossible with MK8’s physics engine, so I only put the small underwater section for the igloo path and that’s it. Sorry for inconvenience but I hope you enjoy the track anyways!
I think all old Mario Kart Courses have been remade now. Time for an : "Alle official Mario Kart main game courses ever made for MK8DX"-Video. 😁 And then you can add an "all non-official Mario Kart 8 Deluxe courses ever made"-Video on top of it. 😇 (I think only a few GPDX-couses are missing now) The modding comminity should turn more to reamke the Wii custom courses for MK8, now.. There is really no point in remaking the official courses over and over again.
Please note: Maple Treeway, DK Summit, Mario Circuit 3 are from the Booster Course Pack - Reforged project. They are pretty much Custom Tracks on how insane they look!
wow wowozer if Super Mario 64 in MK8D, MKW, MK7 also items do not hold anymore
please do make real wave 7 and wave 8 by you
I like maple teeway but Dk summit and mario circuit 3 is very beautiful.
The Reforged tracks are some of the best things to happen in the modding scene!
100% Agreed! It’s astonishing what they look like compared to what we got in the BCP!
15:00 this one is so cool and creative. You don't see many tracks (official or custom) that really push the half pipe mechanic and this one embraces it so creatively
Nice to see you get these showcase videos going again. Hopefully you don't run into problems again. I absolutely love seeing these custom tracks.
The only downgrade about Koopa City 2 is that it's a bit to similar to GBA cheese land! 🤪
Thanks for showing off my tracks!
My only nitpick for N64 Frappe Snowland is the lighting. It's a little dim. Maybe ChirpyLuna can fix the lighting.
It's nighttime there
@A_guy_named_Aven_alt I get that it's supposed to have a night time aesthetic, but I'm saying it's TOO dim. All I'm saying is can't they brighten the lighting a bit and try to make it to where you have headlights on the kart? It would be visually better that way.
Agreed. Some ambient and decorative lighting and toggling the headlights would do wonders
Koopa City 2 has the same layout as Cheese Land.
Happy 11th Anniversary Mario Kart 8 Deluxe!
The tracks are amazing. I need to say more?

16:45 Thanks for play my track 😊
Amazing job from the community! Seeing the improvements it made between now and 2 years ago is night and day
SNES mario circuit 3 finally looks half decent omg
These are the tracks that should be included in CTGP Deluxe! The redesigned Booster Pass tracks would be great as replacements of said courses.
Wow, seeing the original Yoshi Circuit model in 8DX really shows just how much remaking the track matters. That model does NOT work with this game's controls

You missed an underwater section on SNES VL2.
Ahh. That’s my bad!
Just what was nintendo thinking with the graphics of the wave 1 and some of the wave 2 tracks of the BCP?
why the old yoshi circut?
That Peach Circuit port is actually amazing
Ngl, the GCN Rainbow Road made by ChirpyLuNa is the best version of that track from the modding scene.

hey thanks for showcasing Aqua Pura Woods ^^
Dang, some of these remade tracks look really great

I don't really like the reforged Maple Treeway, DK Summit wasn't really changed a lot, and Mario Circuit 3 looks a lot better
@goofyfish17 the background on reforged maple freeway looks really nice but that leaf texture........ that wasn't it
i think that the final section of Bowser's doomship feels too short compared to the other sections

13:26 That's Cheese Land in the Koopa City style.
yeah, you're right
My favorite track was gcn rr. I wish they brought that back to mk8d
Wait, is that SNES Vanilla Lake 2 based off of the version I'm thinking of? If so, you missed out on a lot by not going in the castle.
@@De_an Yeah! That was my fault for not doing enough research on the track. The next time I showcase it, I’ll make sure to showcase everything. ✌️

@@justanotheruser1542 Honestly, that's fair. That was a really ambitious idea to begin with, so it makes sense that not everything would work out.

Tropical coast I love
holy hell i need to figure out how to mod my switch
I wanna make some tracks but dont know how 😢
intro music pls?
It's the "Main Theme" from Mario Hoops: 3-on-3.
the regular tracks are just textures
We can play together ❤️
Omg that's what I did too
