if you like that you have got to listen to the original version of that song with headphones on and turn it up it's going to take you to another galaxy
There is so much great beautiful music from this time. I was blessed to grow up during that time. And you are on point. This music never gets old. I am older now. But even I can close my eyes and drift away and get goosebumps. Please dont think I'm being to forward but you have a nice smile and beautiful eyes. And looks like you have a beautiful soul as well. I hope you are safe and well. Stay safe everybody.
Oh sweetheart, I am so glad to see a review with such pure enthusiasm! I was 16 years old when I first heard that song I am now 63. I remember thinking that was the most beautiful song I ever heard! I still get chills when I hear it! It is so nice to see someone get emotional when listening to that beautiful music. I would recommend that you listen to the full original version it is even more fantastic than this one if you can believe it. Thank you for your review. 🌺
Not just that song, but the whole album. Each of their first 7 albums takes you on a journey. IMO the best way to listen to any of their first 7 albums is uninterrupted, and with headphones. You won't regret it. I've seen 3 of their concerts
Es una de las baladas románticas más bellas de la historia del Pop. Con canciones como esta nos hemos enamorado los abuelos que hoy tenemos sesenta años.
So glad you enjoyed it. Justin takes you on a trip and even though one died (Ray on flute) and Mike (retired on melatron) the three remaining kept touring in summer for us until recently. Sometimes with a whole orchestra as I saw them 30 years ago finishing a year long 20-25th anniversary tour in Boston. Could NOT believe how much music they PUMPED OUT LIVE!
I've been listening to this song for the past 50 years and have never got tired of hearing it. How much of todays new music will have the same affect on the current generation in another 50 years? I'm guessing very little.
Listen to the long version. From 1967 You get the full sense off this classic. I have loved this song for 54 yrs truly awesome I believe he is touring USA now
"Nights in white satin" reference to the white satin sheets she gave him just before she broke it off. "Letters I have written never meaning to send" With 20 version of a letter in the trash can, to try and gain back her love, he never mails her, just as many people that have experienced the same broken heart relationship they never mail the letter. "Just don't know what the truth is" That's why he never mails the letter, he doesn't know if she really loved him. "Seeing people some hand in hand" seeing others in love only brings back the pain. Very, very dark and gut wrenching song. Hope you have never gone through what some of us have. I cry every time I hear this song and wonder where she is and how she is doing.
First band with a concept album, first with a flute, first to sell 100000 tickets at MSG, first to tour with an orchestra. And still took them forever to get into the R and R HOF. I’ll never understand that. I’m 69 and still get chills listening to them every day
Still a teenager when he wrote this, Justin Hayward was letting go of one love and trying to cling to another; hence the confusion in this song. Now a classic of the genre, it's likely he'll never write something to match it.
These are the Moody Blues! There are 4 of them; Ray (flutist), Justin Hayward (the lead vocalist), John Lodge (bass guitarist) and Graeme Edge (drummer) are the band. Justin was 19 years old when he wrote this song in 1967; they write their own music. This is one of my favorite bands and I have seen them perform in many concerts; mostly always with an orchestra. Ray is no longer living. New subbie here! :-)
on the studio version, the "orchestra" you hear when the moodies are singing is Mike Pinder playing the mellotron. The Moodies are known for some very deep lyrics
I have been listening to this unique British band since the late sixties and still never tire of it. You would like "Tuesday Afternoon", from the same era, and "Your Wildest Dreams" from the eighties. (One of the longest lasting rock bands with continuous hits and sold out concerts.) PS- My compliments on your make-up- looks professionally done!
Justin Hayward wrote this song when he was 17. You have just discovered one of the greatest living rock writers and vocalists. Check out his Tuesday Afternoon series on youtube. He is in his 70's and still has it. There is a treasure trove of great Moody's hits out there. And while you're searching be sure to check out two bonuses. Forever Autumn and Justin and and John Lo dge "The Blue Jays" Total dynamite.
I just love your reaction to this. You should listen to The Actor, Vision of Paradise, New Horizons to name a few. I know this video is old so hope you have listened to other Moody Blues songs. I would love to know how you like them. Take care.
Thank you for your reaction to this Moody Blues masterpiece! They have many more excellent and beautiful songs, but the two I would recommend most highly are Tuesday Afternoon and Question! Enjoy the journey and continued success to you on your channel!! Please also add "Hi-De-Ho" by Blood Sweat and Tears to your list of songs to get to one day in the distant future!!! Peace,
Yes you got the UA-cam video out for the reaction and you picked the best you. Choose a live video watcher please please and actual real live video folks she just a little bit but I’m so glad i i’m so glad that you went out and found the actual video and that makes me so proud of you for doing this for this man he is so famous around America your everywhere I noticed my voice chat they said to not put your up in there but he’s been there he perform their live several times so oh well you get a new sub babe Sorry babe if it’s sloppy and I love you ❤️😘💕 you know beautiful music and I’m truly sorry for my messages I sent you mommy I’m sorry because I did voice texting and I got fucked so please I’m joining very soon pay day babe
Love your reaction! The Moody Blues are so great. The album this comes from, Days Of The Future Passed, is just an amazing album altogether and is one of those records that's worth listening to all the way through, from beginning to end, first song to the last, at least once in your life. If you think this song is moving, I believe the entire album will touch you deeply. This band has so many other great records, like In Search Of The Lost Chord, On The Threshold Of A Dream and A Question Of Balance. Other Magnificent Moody Blues songs I recommend to you are "Lovely To See You", "For My Lady" and "Question". And if you'd like to see some incredible concerts of theirs, you should check out The Moody Blues Live At The Isle Of Wight 1970 (which begins were with a nice mini-documentary about the history of the band) or Moody Blues Live At Red Rocks. Love you! You're beautiful! Love your reactions!
You should also listen to the recorded version of this song which was recorded when the Moody Blues were at their peak and Justin Hayward, the singer, was younger. And it has elements in it that were not in this performance. By the way, I happened to see The Moody Blues perform this song live. I was right near the front of the stage.
Moody Blues the album "Days of Future Past" released 1967 suggest you listen to entire album. All their albums are works of art. Suggest their album "Seventh Sojourn" my favorite songs from it New Horizons, For My Lady, Isn't Life Strange. Actually they are ALL GREAT compositions....
try the full 8 minute version of Isnt life strange
When musicians sang about love and not hooking up. They did it with talent not gimmicks too.
Just one of the best songs ever written and performed. A timeless classic.
Don't ever be sorry when you have a pure reaction to music. Crying means that the music has touched you.
You’re so gullible ,Hahahahahah ,she is not crying, she is making a video ,she is fake …
Amen 💜🙏💜
Not just a song, the ultimate experience!!
I like the song in memory child of me thank mody blues good bless you
Iv'e loved that song for forty years. Never fails to move me.
The song was great but your reaction was WOW! Both sent shivers down my spine.
Yes, the moody Blues are very, very. Cool
Agreed!
That's a man who's taken excellent care of his voice over the tears..
My favorite band! They were this first rock band to incorporate a full orchestra in their music.
Best by a long shot. There is no one like them. I’m 69 and still listen to them every day
dear lady this song brings tears to my eyes for reasons but your pretty eyes made my cry again in a good and loving way Bless to all Gos Speed
if you like that you have got to listen to the original version of that song with headphones on and turn it up it's going to take you to another galaxy
That's been my favorite song too my dad all my life. He is in a good place now RIP pops I Love you.
If it weren't for unrequited
Wouldn't have no love at all...
Justin nailed it right there!
Love from the heart...died here for most people. 😢
There is so much great beautiful music from this time. I was blessed to grow up during that time. And you are on point. This music never gets old. I am older now. welcome to the magic of The Moodies who have 200 plus songs to take journeys on
Oh sweetheart, I am so glad to see a review with such pure enthusiasm! I was 16 years old when I first heard that song I am now 63. I remember thinking that was the most beautiful song I ever heard! One of the greatest love songs ever written. Written by a then 18 year old Justin Heywood.
Es una de las baladas románticas más bellas de la historia del Pop. Con canciones como esta nos hemos enamorado los abuelos que hoy tenemos sesenta años.
I listen to this so many times I lost count years ago...
Heard them first over 50 years ago...
Justin Hayward has always been one of my favorite vocalists. His voice has not lost anything over the years.
This song got me the girl I liked. The first song we danced to. I married her and we are still together and still in love. It's our song
I never tire of hearing this master piece ! They don't create music like this anymore !
Your reaction was genuine, endearing and very lovely.
I've been listening to this song for the past 50 years and have never got tired of hearing it. How much of todays new music will have the same affect on the current generation in another 50 years? I'm guessing very little.
One of the prettiest songs of all time.
Love it.Justin Hayward magnificent
Am in love with the song
Music that touched the world from generation to generation!! ❤Wishing you all the best that life can bring!!❤
The original version was in 1967 and with a full orchestra as well. The man singing, Justin Hayward wrote the whole thing when he was 19.
U have good taste in music I grew up listening to it makes it extra special with the orchestra in the background
The London Symphony Orchestra was playing in the background !!!!!
MARVELOUS !!!!! 💥
Love these African Queens responses!
Wow! Thank you for reacting to this!!! ❤️
Almost haunting! Really serious musicians in all their songs.....
Listen to the long version. From 1967 You get the full sense off this classic. I have loved this song for 54 yrs truly awesome I believe he is touring USA now
I've seen the Moody Blues about 8 times, and Justin Hayward still brings a tear to my eye...hard to beieve the Moodies hired him from a newspaper ad !
I remember when this first came out , the moody blues were big in the 70s as now.
YAY!! Another Moodie joins the ranks of our "secret" club! Google Moody Blues and Core 7, you will never regret.
Justin Hayward wrote and composed this orchestral arrangement when he was 17 years old.
The lead singer, Justin Haywood wrote this song while in High School.
Such a pure and lovely reaction. Check out their albums
watching again...go listen to the original full studio version and you can hear him sing it when he was 20 yrs old
This classic song is one-of-a-kind (as is your reaction).
It's nice to see "kids" enjoying music from the 60's and 70's!
Still a teenager when he wrote this, Justin Hayward was letting go of one love and trying to cling to another; hence the confusion in this song. Now a classic of the genre, it's likely he'll never write something to match it.
Omg this takes me back to the 70s when I was 17 I would dance to this song every weekend. I'm 66 now
I'm glad you love it just the same way I do.. His voice is so unique..
Yes quite touching and meaningful
It's actually "NIGHTS In White Satin". Probably the best Moodies song.
This is a good example of the power of great music.
RIP Ray Thomas (He plays the flute)
Whenever you have a rough day, put on some Moody Blues and you'll be taken on a pleasant journey.
His name is Justin Hayward and he sings another fantastic song called Forever Autumn on Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds.
These are the Moody Blues! There are 4 of them; Ray (flutist), Justin Hayward (the lead vocalist), John Lodge (bass guitarist) and Graeme Edge (drummer) are the band. Welcome to the sixties, nothing has ever come close!

You're welcome to the family...
I like this live version even more than the original...
Masterpiece
This album, which you should listen to is number one on my list of all time recordings. Really worth a listen.

Don't forget about a great song that is often overlooked by reactors - "I Know You're Out There Somewhere" Justin really put feeling in that one too.
Wow!! Thanks for letting me know
Catches you out this one while not expecting this kind of experience. This is one of those songs that ill always listen to and enjoy.
I just love your reaction to this. You should listen to The Actor, Vision of Paradise, New Horizons to name a few. I know this video is old so hope you have listened to other Moody Blues songs. I would love to know how you like them. Take care.
The "aaaaahhhhhhhhhahhhh" Chorus on the original is such a powerful part, and unfortunately doesn't come through on this version.
I also recommended that she listen to the recorded full version of this song. It's a must.
You are so right. The price of live cuts for many bands. I bet being in that audience was an experience unforgettable
Thank you for your reaction to this Moody Blues masterpiece! They have many more excellent and beautiful songs, but the two I would recommend most highly are Tuesday Afternoon and Question! I believe the singer, Justin Haywood, wrote this when he was 19 years old. Several versions; the long one is worth listening to.
Actually he was 17.
@@livelaughandlovelong aah, far too young to know about things like that!!🤣🤣
I really suggest doing a video on Justin Hayward's Forever Autumn. It is the same singer, and the song is very emotional and haunting.
I Love you

Look at the 1967 video when first performed.
Recorded first in the 1960s by the Moody Blues.
If you enjoy timeless music, listen to Simon and Garfunkle's Bridge over Troubled Water.
Hi, hey another another song like Nights in White Satin is A Whiter Shade of Paly, by Pocul Harem from Denmark
You should also listen to the recorded version of this song which was recorded when the Moody Blues were at their peak and Justin Hayward, the singer, was younger. And it has elements in it that were not in this performance. By the way, I happened to see The Moody Blues perform this song live. I was right near the front of the stage.

❤😊
You need to hear the original, studio version.
listen to that song the extended version of nights in white satin
You want to get sent over the edge? You got the wrong version.
Need to do Gemini Dream and The Question by Moody Blues as well.
They have videos out of when they were babies
John lodge on bass
What happened to the poem at the end ??.....bummer
In their 20's. Same song playing in the Trumps d Arc in Paris France
They did this song back in 1963 or 64 and from. What?I understand what you just watched was In 2019
He sounded the same.
Why is everyone using the new live version instead of the original? It’s much better
This is good but it's such a pity they leave out the monologue at the end and it's such an emotive part as well. The album version is better.
try Tuesday morning
You mean "Tuesday Afternoon"?
First time hearing this song ??? What a lie and fake reaction…
