    I'm all stock except for supermoto wheels/sprocket kit from luna. At 5k miles now and been running into over temperature control error code on the motor. All street riding close to 40mph for about 15 min before error comes up and motor gets hot to the touch. Drilled a bunch of holes in the bash guard to get some air flow on the motor but that did not help. Was gonna give up and get a new motor but I think I'll try this first , thanks for sharing

    hey. great tip. wouldnt removing or putting alot of holes in the skidplate provide more airflow and cooling on the motor? i just installed ebmx 9000 controller and 81v battery so temperatur issues is a new thing for me.

      Won't do shit my guy, needs more then a few extra holes in the bash plate unfortunately

      @@Supermoto.surron so remove it completely? i dont mean as the only cooling mod, but it would help?

    this could potentially eliminate the stock motor rust issues too.

    Hello, I have never heard of this over heating on a stock Surron. Is it because of your size or what?

    • @leonardoyepez7425
      @leonardoyepez7425 3 місяці тому

      No I'm 170lbs w a 10-15lb book bag. Not sure why it started overheating but it happens pretty consistently now. I tried turning the Regen to low and tested it yesterday but still goes into temperature protection in about 15-20 mins of street riding on my way to work. ATF in the motor is my next step I guess 🤷

    I heard you can use liquid metal, which is 1000 times more efficient than you don't run the risk. That would be associated with pouring motor oil. into your motor. Second, our second I would also be kind of. worrisome. that the oil inside the motor doesn't catch fire from overheating it.

    • @Supermoto.surron
      @Supermoto.surron  2 місяці тому

      I dont think the surron motor will get that hot my friend

    • @EDM-Jigger
      @EDM-Jigger 2 місяці тому

      @@Supermoto.surron You never know. Either it could be a fire, or you can heat the magnets in the motors. to such a high temperature that they demagnetize and then the motor is ruined. unless you buy some liquid nitrogen and then place the magnets. into the liquid nitrogen for a little while. So I can regain its magnetic field.

    • @EDM-Jigger
      @EDM-Jigger 2 місяці тому +1

      @@Supermoto.surron Also, the Sir on motor definitely gets hot enough to start a fire. because of the copper coils. that accepts electricity. in order to get the magnetic field to start rotating the motor. Wish at that point. for the copper. It is extremely hot. Hi, bro. If you're pushing 7 to 12,000 watts. That's a lot of energy. And IDK what the smoke point of that oil is. But it might be wise. just to check into it for reassurance Not saying that it's going to happen, but logically thinking about it. the chances of it happening significantly increased.

    How would u change the oil tho

  • @FlyingKechup
    @FlyingKechup 2 місяці тому +1

    Wouldn't mineral oil work better pro racers add ATF oil because that's what they have on hand people use mineral oil for submerging electronics while atf oil may have additives that can damage your motor. also, i recommend taking off your bashguard makes a huge difference i don't recommend it if you drive offroad.
