Thanks so much for your positive feedback on these ideas, Crystal! And I'm so glad you liked the idea of the heel to toe rainbow tap (and I love your name "rainbow" for that move! :) ) I hope your students enjoy that novel move. Thanks for watching and sharing your feedback!
As always I appreciated your videos and podcasts! They are helpful and informative. Always exploring and learning 💗💗💗💗thank you for that Jenni and Travis!
You are so inspiring. I'm thrilled to have found you. I'm so happy to have some new movements to share with my students. Thank you for sharing your talents.
Virasana is definitely a yoga pose that includes hip internal rotation! But it's one that we don't tend to see that often in most yoga classes - especially when compared with the abundance of externally rotated poses in all forms in a typical yoga practice.
Thanks for this Jenni. I've never thought about this before. I'm an older lady (67), and I'm wondering if this is another thing I should be adding on to my practice for the sake of mobility as I age? I'm guessing it must be important or you would not be highlighting here.
I'm glad this introduced a new movement for you to consider, Ruth! I'm not sure that working on internal hip rotation mobility is important for everyone - we're all different, and we also have different mobility demands and goals, depending on our movement activities. But I do think we often have an idea that a yoga practice mobilizes us in all possible ways, so I think it's helpful to clarify how we actually move in yoga, so we can make more informed choices about what we do on the yoga mat!
Thanks ~ love your tips! Very informative and I’ll definitely be introducing some of these movements to my students

I think virasana is the king of internal hip rotation in yoga 🙂

That makes total sense; thanks.@@jenni_rawlings
Isn’t supine twist knees bent, feet mat width apart, drop knees to one side, the top leg is in internal rotation?
Yes, there's some internal rotation in that leg in that position 😀
