Thank you so much for the video! I am in my senior year and whenever I hear about consulting firms I always thought to myself "Why would these big companies ask advice regarding important business moves to 22-25 year old fresh graduates..." Now it makes more sense lol!
I honestly watch your video when you're still at that game (?) company when i think about moving to PR consultancy. Now i think about moving to management consulting after watching your videos too. Keep it up! Really like your content ❤
Thanks kchoi! If possible it would be really helpful if you could go in-depth into tech consulting, I remember you inviting people to your channel who are into different consulting domains, if you could also do that for tech consulting it would be great! Thanks again! ❤️
Theres also other consulting firms Alvarez & Marsal FTI Consulting Alixpartners They are known for restructuring and turnaround. They probably booming during this pandemic.
Thank you for a clear explanation! I am hoping there will be another vid going more deeply into management consulting, as it seems a bit more abstract to understand the process and how the work actually be done
Btw actually been following you since your PR vid (by another account tho) And saw you on clubhouse maybe you can tell us when you share your stuff in the clubhouse?
Thanks for the video! my major in undergrad was IT and I decided to accept an offer in management consulting vs find a tech consulting role ...and tbh Im not exactly sure what mgmt consultants do 🥴 but I hope I like it!!
just discovered your channel and love your videos! i had no previous knowledge of what consulting was so also been very helpful :) re: IT consulting, don't big enough companies have those resources in-house with their business development / project/product departments? do big companies (not just the giants but "not medium sized") still hire consulting firms for their IT needs? Keep up the amazing work!!
youtube algorithm led me to your channel. I am last year computer science student based in Canada, looking for opportunities in big 4's IT consulting. you make good videos especially it's good to know how consultant's day like :)
I was wondering if you have any insights or experience in healthcare consulting specifically? I’m actually starting a job in September in health consulting and have no idea what to expect! Been following you for a while now and always find your videos so informative thank you!
I am halfway through my Masters in Management and I want to become a consultant one day. This was great information to aid in my thesis paper regarding the business plan I want to pursue in my own business in the future or in a company to look for. Will follow your content. How can I reference you in my articles? " K Choi?"
What about sustainability consulting? Im an Sustainability analyst in a tradicional company, but in order to grow im searching for a consulting job, but no idea where to begin..
@@mishwsl sure, thanks for the info! The thing with big 4 is that you can't really choose on what to work when in a junior or medium position, which would be my case. So I was wondering what were the specific sustainability consulting references
Do you do mentoring or can we reach out if we want to get advice on jumping off into consulting away from slow-paced office work? It more of a fear for the unknown in my case, but I know I have specialized knowledge for a particular demographic and target group during DEIA change.
i'm not into consulting but your videos are making me understand a little more about it . although i don't get exactly how it works for example if i own a restaurant and business is not going well , can i get help from a consultant company to attract more customers ?
You might do more around marketing or branding if you’re trying to attract more customers! But if you needed help with your expansion strategy or food supply chain or something you might get a business consultant to help.
nothing on communications consulting? i assumed you would do some coms coming from a pr role. reputation management, branding, alot of it can overlap with management.
Hey Kchoi I’m new to your channel I’m a teen currently studying a Combined Bachelor of Business (major in International Business) and Bachelor of Entrepreneurship & Innovation, I’m looking at doing management consulting do u have any tips on what I should be doing now to prepare for that career pathway?
Your videos help me explain what it is i am trying to do. Do you know anyone who has their own FIRM and do more of a freelance type of management consulting? Any tips? 🙏🏼
Hi kchoi ....love from India !!!! hope u r doing great. your videos really helpful and interesting. actually i wanted your advice on something I graduated this year with English hons nd I'm really into consulting management but i don't wanna go for MBA . can u advice on course i should go for?? it will be a great help.
Ive been a silent viewer for a while but havent got the balls to say hi but today is that day😊 thanks so much for great content about consulting thus far 👏🙏
I have a video on 10 skills you need to be a consultant! There aren’t really any certifications you need to get started. It’s more about work experience (whether it’s in consulting itself or something else that’s transferable).
Actually...which was the type of consultant you are...im having a big doubt on that...y bcz when i browse of travel consultant vlogs...i got your...so thought that you are a travel consultant...but oopss...im having a doubt😂😬...but i got addicted to your vdos too...
Did you find your transition into change management stressful given your undergrad background? Or did you find your masters prepared you well? I'm a political science major currently but I'm really considering transitioning.
Not really! I already had work experience that was really applicable (project management, working with clients, etc). Obviously I had to learn some new things and the company culture but my background didn’t really feel like a hinderance to that :)
Hello been following your vlogs from The Netherlands for a while now. If you're allowed to answer what company do you work for, it seems that it's a big company.
Haha wow! I think I only have one vlog from visiting Amsterdam but appreciate your support :) I work for a boutique change management consultancy, so no, it's not a big company.

Often people might have in-house people but they hire consultants because the company might not have enough resources internally!

Deloitte Australia has a Sustainability consulting arm. I'm not sure if other offices have this too, but Big4 would be a great place to start looking!

If I have a degree in Management Information Systems, would that be able to let me gain experience in any form of consulting, including HR consulting?
Your degree is closer to tech so that might help with IT consulting

what kind of firm do you consider IQVIA to be?
For consulting management to work which degree you need
Many people have business degrees but it doesn’t really matter what subject you studied - it’s more about your work experience and interview.

at my firm everybody is basically remote now (even though we have offices)! all depends so i can't say for all consulting jobs.

why business need consultants, i mean they have resources that understand the inside of their business and consultant don't
