    Question 4 - You decided D was a better option than B because we are empowering the team. I concur that the piece about telling the team how to implement is almost never the agile way. But it does allow the the Product Owner to be involved in the decision about whether to include the change or not and since the PO has ultimate responsibility for the project - it seems like excluding him from the discussion in answer D makes that as equally incorrect. So I feel like these types of questions end up being a crap shoot for us. I feel like we need an assumptions log for these types of questions so we can at least get partial credit when our reasoning is sound but the answer is not what was given. Thoughts?

      @russ4u4love Місяць тому

      33:13 I also have similar opinion. Since as per agile practice , product owner is the owner of backlogs, the first person to discuss any new changes to the backlog is to product owner not the team hence I also believe answer b is better than d.

      @TEverettReynolds 23 дні тому

      @@russ4u4love I agree and want clarification from Ray. The problem I see with B is that the PM is dictating the update to the team. So... who is "the team"? I assume the team is everyone from the PO, the PM or Scrum Master, and the Devs. In that, the PM is wrong. He must include everyone in the feature request discussion. He must at least engage the Devs to get an idea of how much time and effort would be spent on the new feature. Collaboration and facilitation are the keys here.
      D is the better choice since the PM engages the whole team to discuss the feature request and then discuss the impact with the stakeholders.

    Hi sir .regarding the below question request you to answer with clarification
    A project manager is assigned to a critical software development project. The team is using a hybrid approach and has divided development into four sprints. At the end of sprint three, the project manager discovers that the earned value (EV) is US$500,000 and the planned value (PV) is US$550,000.
    What should the project manager do?
    A. Fast track the project
    B. Adjust the budget
    C. Introduce a float
    D. Adjust the project time line

    Question4: The correct ✅ option is B.
    As per PMBOK: It emphasizes the importance of conducting an impact analysis as part of the integrated change control process and ensures that any change/s are assessed in terms of their effect on the project scope, schedule, cost, and resources before any decision is made.
    As per Agile Practice Guide: In Agile frameworks, changes are often reviewed and analyzed during sprint review meetings. The product owner plays a key role in determining the value and priority of changes or backlogs , and an impact analysis helps the team understand the implications and decide the best course of action.

    I'm confused about what was selected in question no.2
    Each backlog item should have a set of conditions of satisfaction as specific acceptance criteria that is specified by the product owner.
    DoD is an internal agreement between developers to assure of task characteristics and tests are completed.
    I cant undrestand changing DOD or making it more robust may not help to change the situation .

    • @PMPwithRay
      @PMPwithRay  5 місяців тому +1

      DoD is an agreement within developers for sure, but that should be aligned with the customer as well keeping them in loop. DoD cannot be drafted by isolating the customer/end-user.
