I've got a problem with my 15g Feeder breaking the line (6lb) and was thinking of changing to braid. I don't have a specific feeder rod just now, but I would like to buy one and want to know exactly the line which would suit my fishing. I normally catch perch ranging from 1lb to 2lb, the same with wild brown trout.

6lb line is very strong and definitely should not be breaking on a 15g feeder so look to put fresh line on your reel and pay close attention to knots, ensuring they are well moistened before pulling tight.

Does drennan mark casting weight anywhere? I do have 11 ft carp feeder puddle checker just need something stronger as I struggled to rich distance with heavier feeders is there a catalogue to find out casting weight?

If you want to increase distance choose a longer rod. Check out the 12ft competition feeder, great all rounder. for big resivoirs look at 13-15 ft. drennan also do a few rods in the distance range like the one in the videos here they even do a tench and bream specialist distance rod.
