Beautiful..........you are making the world a better place. (those components/entire device would have been thrown in trash). I learn from you every time. Better repair tech's through better work.
Hi I only saw your channel a few days ago. this is soooo fantastic thanx ever so much. I have learnt such a lot the past few days. I am a diesel/ petrol mechanic in South Africa. I am so fond of doing electronic repairs, I have a lot of the tools etc. i work mostly on Mercedes , Bmw and VWs when it comes to electronics. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and techniques with the World. May you go from strength to strength.
Hi alex. I watch your videos daily and start to repair laptop motherboards other than just upgrading them or replacing screens etc. I live all the way the caribbean island of jamaica and will love your help to have a reasonable thermal cam to help locate the heat spots quicker. I burn my fingers several times finding shorted components:-) but i will really appreciate your help to make my repair business move faster using thermal cam like you do. Hope to hear from you soon.
How do you acquire donor boards, fobs etc from which to harvest components? Are these from other no-fix repairs that you'd buy the parts from your customers?
At my last place, when we had a not repairable item, we would contact the customer, and if they wanted the item back, they would of course have to pay for return shipping. Most of the time, they just said keep the item.
Well, jump on a plane/boat/jet skii/ build your own drone to carry you over and come to California! But, bring snacks though as Mr. Alex likes those snacks.
Amazing job.... I have a question regarding the cleaning swap you use... I saw some vedios you used two types of swaps one may some cotton hairs stuck to sharpie components and other doesn't... So I'm asking about the second one.
Me also. One seems to be the wooden stick like used in Dr. office, the other looks like plastic sticks and dual ends, like you buy for cleaning a baby's nose in the pharmacy.
Hey great video I have a question so recently I updated my iPad Pro12.9 2nd gen 2017 to iPad OS 15 it was working fine the first couple days then another update came out 15.0.1 while I went to update it to it over night and my iPad was also on low battery next morning it didn’t want to turn on or boot up on the computer with iTunes but when I plug it in to a portable charger it shows that it is receiving power but will not turn on there no cracks what’s so ever not sure what’s going on any suggestions ?
He could have wrapped the component in Aluminum foil to protect it. Then, once loose from it's solder joint, had a fan near by to cool it down quickly before re-soldering.
Customer states both fobs lock and unlock car but IR and coil broke off of this fob. Initial thought is that L/UL and start are transmitted differently; IR for one, RF for the other [?]. If fobs use both RF and IF signaling to the vehicle, how can the L/UL work but no remote start?
Mr. Alex even with Big Bosses help is VERY busy. Yes, he does make money producing these YT videos but his real money comes from his repair business. I suppose we all here could get together and hire him a full time photographer maybe?
I am in INDIA and tried calling on your number. This is regarding a high ASUS motherboard which rebooting constantly. I tried everything here in india but nobody is I found skilled to repair. I feel there is some some problem related to power which causing the problem. If I make any changes it does not even boot. I am willing to bare the repair expenses and shipping. Please help me. I could explain the problem in detail if you want over call or email. PLEASE HELP.
This guy is rough on fobs. I can't believe that it's so expensive to just buy two new fobs. I don't know what Mr. Alex is charging and I am always for him to make money but how much could a new fob possibly cost.
Benz dealership charge up to $700 for a fob and you have to go thru a tedious process that can take up to few days to get a fob. You can't even get a fob for older vehicles such as 1999 as one customer stated. You'll have to replace the whole ignition system which can cost up to $5000. We charge $195 to $249 for a fob repair. In this case the customer also requested expedited service +$49 since our current queue is 2-3 weeks. Not only does the customer save money but also get it done quick. We get at least few fobs a day expedited where the car is stranded and will be towed away if not removed. Since we stock all Benz donor fobs, we are able to fulfill the ticket in a timely manner.
@@NorthridgeFix WHAT!!!!!????? I had no idea they were that expensive. Well, I'll never own a Benz. I get it now Sir. Thank YOU for the info. I see how lucrative your business is for not only this kind of service but the rest as well Sir. I will be ordering some supplies from your company soon. And, I'll be spreading your fob repair abilities around here in Memphis TN. Thanks again Mr. Alex. Oh, I hear that the Russian space station is having some electronic equipment problems. Would you be available for a trip into space? Just kidding, but I bet you could fix anything up there. Bye!

Amazing. It is very important to have many donor-boards, so you can fix the devices very fast and made your customers happy. Nice video, thx for it
Damn, that flux really makes the difference night and day!
Beautiful..........you are making the world a better place. (those components/entire device would have been thrown in trash).

Alex always kicking ass and taking names of every faulty customer and component. 😁😁
That is a nice solder tip, just a touch completely changed the look of that solder joint, excellent skill in handling.
2005 Benz C240 Kompressor Key Amazing as always!
Flux works like magic.

I want to know too

Quick and Superb !!!
Very efficient
i like , you like smile and happy all job done ;) hello from swiss
I wish I knew how to CAD, I'd make a database of car key fob models for 3D printing replacement buttons and cases.

I think the plastic ones were perhaps gun cleaning swabs which usually are polyester based tips and come in square or concial shaped tips.
Good work as usual
Nice job alex
Better than factory ❤️
Full functional awesome👌
Question. at what temp does your low melt solder Melt?
what equipment do you use/recommed and the type of flux?
Nice job!
Northridge "The Fixer"

Awesome job bro keep rocking 👍👍👍
Hey mate, what soldering iron and tip do you use?
nice 👍
Whats Diggin!
Good Job
IR impressed
Very nice
Awesome 👌
Wish i could do this work at your shop.
Nice work, just wondering why the soldering iron wasn't used to take away the IR sensor, instead of using the heat 'gun'.
Solder was under the component and in two separate spots.
Couldn't get it all hot enough at the same time to remove and then attach.
nice Vedio ☮️👍
How one builds a store of donor keyfobs?
Do you get any other key repairs besides mercedes
Awesome video
When desoldering heat sensitive components, what do you do to take extra care? Why not hear from the backside in this case?
He could have wrapped the component in Aluminum foil to protect it.
Then, once loose from it's solder joint, had a fan near by to cool it down quickly before re-soldering.
How do I get my key to you for repairs?
Nice!
Where do you get your supply of donor boards?
Awesome
good
great video as always alex ... any chance of a shop workflow video ?
There was one a few weeks ago that showed the basics.
Customer states both fobs lock and unlock car but IR and coil broke off of this fob. Initial thought is that L/UL and start are transmitted differently; IR for one, RF for the other [?].
If fobs use both RF and IF signaling to the vehicle, how can the L/UL work but no remote start?
Perfect ok
Good👍
How can I send you my key so that it can get fix
I think the best way of extracting that plastic component is to insert a knife like tool while using hot air.
Are you not afraid of burning off the insulation off the coil with hot air
💛
👍
Awesome ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Are Benz fobs particularly bad designs or something? So many of them sent for repair in this shop…
Wao
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😘
I hope the customer doesn't drop it again🤭
Fast one
That’s what she said.

hey Alex, if u had 25 repairs why we get only 1 video? not fair
Because you cant have both. Making videos takes time.
