I just want to let u know.....I absolutely love your videos! Because you explain as you do the repairs! So glad to hear you may start your workshop soon, something I am really thinking about joining. Keep up the awesome work.
Tip: If you think an IR device is malfunctioning, point the IR diode towards a digital camera. Phone, webcam, microscope, whatever. They pick up a surprisingly wide band of IR light, but its compressed into the visible color spectrum during image processing.
Good to see you expanding and succeeding with the business. I think the world has some tough times to come so tread carefully. Hardwork and expertise is a great formula. Keep up the good work.
From what I've seen of your shop from your videos, you have a lot of intake from foot traffic through the front retail portion of the store. If the vast majority of bodies moving around is employee with minimal retail interaction, it might be worth some consideration to possibly consolidate all inbound/interaction traffic to the other side with inbound and outbound package processing in the back with retail in front so you can compartmentalize with all the repair work and work orders sitting in your current space. This would also mean that less of your time would be taken away from the bench to go handle customer interaction and more time spent working on the queue, teaching workshop without distraction(s), etc and probably streamlining workflow overall. It would also allow some leeway as far as if you want to maybe lock up a portion of the business without affecting the other portion that is not needing in-depth interaction like, retail and package processing could still operate if you had to go lock up the repair side to go pick up kiddo from school or something and vice versa. Just food for thought.
A M only thing I would be concerned about would be lack of movement from not getting up to interact with front of house customers...I'd feel fat and useless/lethargic sat down all day with no movement in your proposed situation.
@@Infiniti25 Any desk or bench job gets to be like that even with off chance counter attendance after a while unfortunately as habits develop. Sedentary lifestyle is one of the creeping dangers of the few for such jobs. I make it a hourly to bi-hourly habit to get up and stretch my legs as well as anybody else that's in the office so blood doesn't pool at the very least for health reasons and this more so for the older workers/employees. The hardest part is getting people to try to keep the bad habits to a minimum like sedentary lifestyle...but diet is crappy or active but diet is crappy and a chain smoker. It gets to be a slippery-slope. I find it easiest with convincing employees to manage their diet and get up and move a bit instead of turning into a lump by having people swap desks occasionally and/or also having an on/off schedule for occasional quick task that requires physical movement of some sort...like mail organization, filling the mailing cart and passing out the mail with or something of that sort, To each, their own, I suppose.
I have a discovery 2 key fob that I recently replaced the open function button, but the red light does not eluminate and key fob does not communicate with vehicle? Any ideas

Haha, when you open the door between two unit. YOU need to make it back as original wall before move out or terminal your lease. Your landlord may charge you a couple thousand if you don't fix it.
Really look forward to the uploads !! THANK YOU FOR SHARING. The other day l tried to order something from your website shop but found it hard to find what l needed. A suggestion ...... perhaps the IT guy can put a search area and also break down items ie. capacitors, diodes, iphone parts, ipad parts etc etc. At present we can only go from page to page to page to page.
If you ever figure out a solution to Mercedes Benz no longer making available the key-fob chip necessary to start a W140 you could make enough $$ to go buy a new EQS! MB dealerships want +/- $10,000 US dollars. Nothing to do with the motherboard but rather a little chip. (?)
Awesome job. Having one fault can be tricky, but to identify and repair 3 faults so quickly is something else!
