this speech also helps me cope with the fact we re all gunna die some day. it could happen tomorrow. people say that shit all the time, but never really mean it. they shiver at the the reality of the thought. then go back living like its never gunna end. its amazes me.
If I was a principal or superintendent of a school, I'd have my students recite this speech instead of the Pledge of Allegiance in the morning.

This is probably the only movie where I haven't been AS pissed off when cool characters die. This sequence was such a perfect goodbye to Greenbean. And I love how Rocco has sort of become the Saint's spiritual guide now. I hope Greenbean joins him in the next one and they keep making reappearances.

This is what I listen to everyday before work, whether my day is full of busting balls or getting my balls busted as assignment dictates, this is my fucking anthem. It centers me. Every man should cite this every day as his ethos, even on the day you die, and have to explain yourself to Saint Peter, this is what you should say!
