Keep these long form videos coming man! Could watch these all day. Not sure if you’ve done it yet , but maybe wiring up a set into a car ? Or even a workshop tour
Yor vid deff helped. Thank you. Just built my first boad. Yor way is definitely the easiest. Guna have to buy more these leds. The homies askin me to build them tails now
Glad it helped. Thanks 😊
Thank you so much for the video 🙏
I’ve been looking all over for information on how to use the RGB’s
Just amazing!!! I want to learn this! Wow!
Can’t see the link to buy from, would be super helpful. Loving the content

@@NextLevelNeo you guys are awesome! I’ve been searching for like 3 days 😅 thank you so much!
Is it possible to achieve the galaxy effect without having even amount of LEDS in each row?
It depends on the layout. Most panels aren't perfectly square but a round shape won't easily do it
How bright is it , good for street or just shows?
These are brighter than the standard illumaesthetic 5mm leds and equal to and in some cases brighter than oem tail lights
I built a set up identical and when I plug it to ghozt it just all lights up fades out and does nothing. The app does nothing.
Where did you get the LEDs from?
Do you need to use capacitors when you do larger panels or is it not required ?
I would always run a 1000uf cap right before the first led in your light but if you buy the leds in the link in my description they will come with caps in each led.
@@NextLevelNeo awesome thanks for info !
how do you separate the park/brake/turn/rev segments/areas when running addressable leds? do you require multiple controllers/sequencers?
Are you familiar with addressable leds and the blueghozt controller? I belive I do a little demo at the end of this video and I have a ton of other videos going into detail the amazing benefits a smart led can provide.
@@NextLevelNeo if say i have three separate main areas park/brake, turn signal and reverse. do i still wire all leds in series? one area after another?
Yes, the bigger factor is sections. 5mm addressable builds are advanced addressable. If you haven't worked with addressable or ghozt before then be prepared for a lot of frustration.
@@NextLevelNeo i guess what im really trying to undestand is how does the module figure out what area/section to power up based on the different inputs it sees? or is that something that can be defined via programming?
Yes, you will set sections in the app and define which section does what. But that is a really simplified explanation. I cover in more detail in a lot of my videos. Think of my tutorial section on UA-cam as a college course on addressable. If you just watch a few videos you won't have the full picture.
Can demon eyes work with underglow on the same channel
I tried this but I think I'm missing something. My lights won't light. Are they 5v or 12v? Also is it a direct contact from the led to the ghozt board?
These are 5v, we have an rgb and an rgbw variant. On the rgbw variant the tall pin is ground. On the rgb variant the tall pin is power.
@Next Level Neo ok I flipped it and it work. Thanks.
You have 2 different 3pins comming off the board is one the input and second is output to connect to the next board ?
There is a diagram for the pins on the website and i show what each pin is in the video. There is a data in, ground, power, and data out, and they are in that order. Tall pin is power.
@@NextLevelNeo I understand that , it’s just when u Hook it up to the blueghost module there 3 wires that are hanging off , is that what you would connect to the next board ? Or how do u get 2 or 3 boards within one housing to connect ?
@Avtar Takhar power can be split, so all power and ground running to the lights can split off to each board. Data needs to run from the controller to the input on the first board, and from the output on the first board to the input on the second board and then to the next and so on. Just separate the power and ground from the data in your head. Power and ground are the same on all boards, just keep in mind voltage requirements for the leds you are using. Like if you are mixing 12v strips and 5v leds. Data on the other hand is run in series, connecting one board to the other so the ghozt controller can control each led independently.
@@NextLevelNeo awesome thanks for clearing that up ! Keep up the good content 🔥
how do you program. , do oh make your own boards to control the leds?
I will be doing a video on programming in a few weeks. I use the blueghozt controller.
@@NextLevelNeo cool ,
so you can program your own things, or are you just choosing from pre
add patterns? the blueghozt
@@eross21 the ghozt has a lot of flexibility. I have a few videos showing the controller programming for headlights. Tail lights are a little different but it's got the same features as heads
The link provided for the leds is broken
Thanks, i just updated it
me gustaria que mandes los kit,,, y mandes a ESPAÑA qiero tus faros porfavor
I’m going to be building a set for my buddy’s Hatch STI and was curious if the blughozt would control the rgb 5mm separate from the strips or how that would be wired or if that requires another controller in conjunction
If you use the strips and the 5mm addressable leds they can run in series and 1 ghozt can control it all, up to 350 leds on each side. I have a video showing how to run 12v and 5v leds from the same controller.
Is the black piece just formed acrylic? Looking to make a set for a new beetle
Yes, laser cut and formed with heat. I get mine from illumaesthetic.com
The boards u insert the leds to. Where do u get them? Or they just made of like acrylic or plastic sheet painted black?
Hey man ??? On the third row of leds where do you connect the grounds like the second and first row they are twisted together so where do the third row grounds go
The Grounds and the power wires all connect together, run wires from each and splice all of the grounds together and all of the power wires together. Then run those main power and ground wires to your controller power and grounds
Hey man , I built some lights , everything works as should but when no leds should be on I have 7 or 8 that’s just flash different colors , what could be the cause ?
They flash? Normally the sign of a bad led is if it stays dimly lit when you turn them off. It may be bad leds. Flashing could be pins touching, but im not 100% sure on that.
@@NextLevelNeo yeah once I put power to the blughozt those few leds just flash different Color’s , but when I put a show mode or brake on they work how they’re suppose to , I checked all the pins but I’ll double check today
Are those leds common anodes or cathodes?
Hey man quick question, the illumaesthetics boards for my 14 sti the rows aren’t exactly straight across the whole board. How would you wire something like that and input it into the ghost app if it’s just column and rows??
You'll have to breakup the layout into sectors of matrix and strips. You can do up to 10 sectors on each light. You'll have to figure out the best way to do that with the design you've chosen.
@@NextLevelNeo do you happen to have a video on that by any chance. One more question, when not in show mode, how does the car maintain normal driving functions and know which lights are blinkers, brakes
This video will help. Every set is a little different from another but this explains the controller and app in detail. ua-cam.com/video/Wds6fru1LLU/v-deo.html&feature=share7
@@NextLevelNeo definitely helped just wish you were using the 5mm individual leds so I could understand it a little clearer. Basically what I take from it is you manually select which leds to light when on the brake/blinkers through the app. So now I just need to figure out the best way to connect the leds together so it makes sense and flows how I want it. Any chance I could send you a pic of my panels and my idea on how to connect the leds to eachother and get an opinion from a pro like you
I can take a look, send them to my IG messenger
where could i get the bare wire from? exact diameter?
amzn.to/3GoPZHY
Hey this is really awesome. Just wondering how to contact you directly. Maybe you can help me. I wanna do a project like this.
What’s the difference between yours and Illunaesthetic
Ours have capacitors built in so you don't have to add them. Without capacitors you will get a lot of flickering in the leds.
Someone gonna burn they car down to the ground,....lol great tutorial
Where do you get them from?
Alibaba. Shipping can get a little high if you don't buy a lot.
@@NextLevelNeo To make life easier could I used the pre-wired 12mm addressable ones and just make the holes bigger
@@slapcitykustomz1658 you can and it is easier, you will have less leds, you will need custom boards designed, and there will be a lot of wires hanging off the back. A have a set like that currently, it still catches eyes, just not to this level.
@@NextLevelNeo Ok gotcha Ima stick to how your doing it, just ordered my ghost controller last night gonna order some headlights and tail lights with clear lenses Appreciate the videos they help alot
This is Time Consuming AF...I see why it costs so much to have it done now lol
