Hello I think I'm pretty aware of those games since I bought my first Gameboy Advance SP back then its release and a flashcard including an USB writer was given to me by my brother with a disc packed full of GBA ROM Files and games of Bit Generations among them got into my focus Finally after all those years I managed to buy me two for me of the more interesting titles by them named Orbital and Soundvoyager Last mentioned arrived today and I'm really excited to own that one My old Wii got broke where I stored the game file counterpart Orbient as you mentioned as Wii-quel of Orbital which is a quite good and challenging game on either console What a pitty those particulary ones never got any remake on another console or mobile device Anyway thanks for showcasing them in your video Have a nice time and happy new year Greetings from Germany
Your review of Boundish misses some of the subtleties that make it interesting. In Pool Flower, players are severely slowed down when caught inside a bubble of their opponent's color. If you pay close attention at 2:15, you can see that this is what made the AI unable to hit the ball in time. Furthermore, if the ball collides with a bubble that doesn't match its current color, it will recolor it, but also be repelled in the process. In Power Slider, you can make the puck rotate by hitting it while in motion. This will cause it to change direction upon landing, making it more unpredictable. Finally, in Box Juggling, you have to be careful not to let the boxes hit your head, as that will stun you. To prevent this, you can press A when they're about to make contact to clap your hands in the air. This can also give you more control over the velocity and direction of the boxes. I'm not sure if you just didn't think some of these things were worth bringing up (though you clearly didn't know about the Pool Flower stuff), but their omission makes the games sound more primitive than they actually are.
So, I love the discussion of strange and obscure games, and this video didn't disappoint! I had never heard of the Bit Generations series, but I can't believe I hadn't before because these are pretty fascinating. Especially the two puzzle games. I'll definitely have to give those a whirl.
Orbital was actually amazing. And if you think the game is slow and boring you probably should have played it a bit more. The game get technical very quickly and everything seem to happen way too fast, the calm soundtrack just help you focusing.
I've been lurking for a while, and your channel's not been getting quite as much attention as it should, so I'm going to start engaging with the content more (like, comment, sharing it to my Discord server, etc) to hopefully help contribute towards getting these videos in people's recommended feeds. These are super weird..
Hey thank you, that means a lot! I'm just taking it one video at a time, working to improve as much as I can with each one. And yeah, these were super weird, I had never heard of them until recently
Nice! Yeah, in fact I think the only Japanese text in them is the warning screen at the beginning. I don't understand why it wasn't worth localizing them
Ahh cool, would be neat but I have my hands full with my own thing already haha. And yeah, I was lucky enough to sneak into the monetization bracket. Hoping I can actually capitalize on it with some views and subs in the future! Just gotta take it one video at a time.

Last mentioned arrived today and I'm really excited to own that one
My old Wii got broke where I stored the game file counterpart Orbient as you mentioned as Wii-quel of Orbital which is a quite good and challenging game on either console
What a pitty those particulary ones never got any remake on another console or mobile device

Yeah i agree with you, maybe he's too quick with researching that he miss some thing
Boundish fans unite!
even with those mechanics, those games are still primitive and get boring within minutes

I agree, it’s so satisfying and with such simple controls, this video doesn’t do it justice at all!
11:40 "30 dollar asking price"
I wish
Dialhex is soooooo good.
Really hoping Skip ltd. makes another series of games like Bit Generations/Art Style for the Nintendo Switch or something. :o
3:30
That has to hurt

great video!
Great video!
These games do need new life on the Nintendo Switch.
sadly soundvoyager never got a second chance :/
I grabbed 3 of these recently. You don't need to know Japanese to play them at all and they're very arcade inspired.
Nice! Yeah, in fact I think the only Japanese text in them is the warning screen at the beginning. I don't understand why it wasn't worth localizing them
Finnbro
Maybe the warning label has the answers?
I agree there. These games would sold ok here in the States compared to what else was out there at the time.
neat vid
Did the vidya bros tell you?
Tell me what? I think I saw Super Vidya Bros comment on my last video. Also thanks again for watching, I know I can always count on you :D
Finnbro I told them that you and them should team up they do game grumps like stuff sry about the new UA-cam update so you can’t make money
