    This song is pure transcendence. I was a young girl when this came out and was so totally taken with Stevie. I first heard this on Don Kirschner's Rock Concert. In her 70's she still got it. She's an amazing performer. To hell with queen of rock n roll this woman is the reigning and forever GODDESS of rock n roll. Love you forever Stevie. Rock on Lily

    A little backstory.. Mick once said years ago when they would play live the band never knew what version of Stevie they would get on this song while they were playing. It would come near the end and he could tell by the look in her face if they were going to get the recorded live version or if they were going to get the version where Stevie goes crazy. She would turn around and look at him and he could tell what version was going to happen. They might get melodic Stevie or the might get insane Stevie.... No one knew lol

    I'll forever love Stevie until my dying day - but I hafta' say she looks tired here. Her vocals sound strained and she's not hitting all the notes. She's doing good for 74...but maybe the sunset is approaching and time to say 'I've done my part'. She is legend. She's had an amazing career. There'll never be a more beautiful lady or incredibly unique voice like Stevie. Still remember seeing her live at Canada's Wonderland all those years ago - and the night was magic from the 6th row.

      Rick - very true; simply not the same without Christine or Lindsey
      I admire the stamina of both FM and Stevie Nicks, but I think retirement is at hand

    • @jurjenvanderhoek316
      @jurjenvanderhoek316 Рік тому

      @@juicyfruit4378 Retirement? That is exactly what you should NOT speak about after the amazing career she has had. There should only be room for compliments in your mind, and anything else is a reflection of your own negative self.

    • @juicyfruit4378
      @juicyfruit4378 Рік тому +1

      @@jurjenvanderhoek316 Look Dutch boy, go find a barrel of Matjes Herrrings and soak your head for a while. Fleetwood Mac is my favorite group and I am a fan of Nicks - However, each person has their own opinion and not all of us are obsessed with celebrities as you seem to be. The band without Lindsey and Christine is naturally not the same - this does not mean they're no longer good, but nevertheless, not the same. Stevie too, is getting older and eventually she'll have to retire. Now you either accept other's opinions without your sarcastic BS attached, or someone like me will Control Alt Delete your ass and put you in check real fast - choice is yours.

  • @wataboutya9310
    @wataboutya9310 Рік тому +3

    Like the majority of her contemporaries, the spark just isn't there anymore and the artist is just going through the motions which makes it listless and dull. I would rather listen to the recording than pay to hear this.

    • @EastSide-qc5oy
      @EastSide-qc5oy Рік тому +1

      Disagree. Of course her voice isn’t what it once was. It can’t be. And of course she’s older and not moving around the stage like she did when she was 29 years old. But to me she seems happy to be touring and enjoying herself. And she has a strong rapport with her audience.

    • @dmcqdoug
      @dmcqdoug Рік тому

      Can’t but agree - thinking Joni, Dylan, Elton, etc., etc. Stand aside guys and let new talent in, we loved you and still love your songs but don’t try and sing them. 3:45

    • @EastSide-qc5oy
      @EastSide-qc5oy Рік тому

      @@dmcqdoug This makes zero sense. Why is the onus on the individual artist? If they have fans who are still very happy to attend performances, why should they quit to please the people who don’t want to attend performances? There’s no logic in it. They aren’t standing in anyone’s way. They aren’t preventing the industry from introducing new talent. New talent is constant. Some find an audience and some don’t. The onus is actually on YOU. Just don’t by a ticket or watch. Let the people who want to enjoy the shows do so. Problem is solved for everyone.

    • @dmcqdoug
      @dmcqdoug Рік тому

      Except, EastSide, it means that audiences, with limited time & expenditure, fall back on their tired old favourites rather than open up to fresh talents. A bit of it also relates to growing old gracefully, quitting with dignity, etc., and not wallowing in the nostalgia surrounding past glories. Just my opinion….😅

    • @EastSide-qc5oy
      @EastSide-qc5oy Рік тому

      @@dmcqdoug I disagree. There’s no evidence that audiences would, say, pay more attention to new acts just because Stevie Nicks or Bob Dylan or any other longtime star retired 10 years ago versus remaining active now. These longtime acts perform and tour because there’s demand for them to do so. There are new acts introduced all the time. They either catch on or they don’t. Upstage established acts, or they don’t. Some arbitrary forced retirement based on YOUR timeline wouldn’t make a difference.
      Also why do you care so much about what audiences in general do? Sounds very control freaky to decide on some arbitrary deadline when acts are no longer “allowed” (according to you) to continue. How
      about let audiences decide who they want to pay to see? This is just a bad take from you.
