- In this Episode we have a look at the awesome LAMS Approved Bike (Learner Approved Motorcycle Scheme) that is the YZF-R3 Yamaha of 2019. This 300cc rocket gives you maximum smiles for a budget and you won't end up in jail! Well not for doing 200km/h over the speed limit anyway!
We look at it, talk about it, hear it and ride it and it Revs hard too.
Enjoy.

This very likely will be my first bike, love the breakdown
Thanks PJ, great bike to start on, finish on or anything in between. Ride the wheels of it without losing your licence or your life! Ride safe and Subscribe!🤣
great review!
Thanks Jay, I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's nice to know that all the work that goes into it is appreciated! About 10 hours into a 12 minute video! I'll be having more of these smaller rocket ships on the channel, so if you haven't already please subscribe to my channel it certainly helps me. Ride safe. 😉
Just found this channel. These reviews are great with the time stamps. Its been a month since I bought this exact bike a month ago and I'm ready for my first service
Thanks mate, saw the video of your bike getting stolen, that sucks big time but you got a bigger and better one now! I'll get my son to follow your gaming channel, he's into that. Your dream would be 100,000 subs I'll take 1000 so please sub if you haven't already. Ride safe.
@@CompleteRider Cheers, thanks a lot
Is it 2021 model?
This is a 2019 model, the only difference between this and the 2021 model is the colour. ✌
@@CompleteRider thanx
Loved the on-board footage, it seems to rev higher than my 300r and reaches higher speeds in second gear 🤔 Definitely considering Yamaha when I finally move on to bigger bikes 🙌🏻
Thanks man, a twin will generally rev a bit higher than a single. I'm keen to try a MT 03 in comparison, I was told it's bars are a bit higher and it's geared a bit different! Might be interesting but a MT07 would be nice too. That can be your next up grade?
@@CompleteRider The MT07 looks so good on paper (and in pictures) but I've heard nasty reviews unfortunately.. (something about the engine turning off randomly for no reason) I do love the looks of the MT's though! I've fantasised simply climbing the CBR ladder but that might get boring quickly 🤣
Hey. Is it normal for the handle bars to wobble a bit at 80kph / 50mph ?
Nope, it shouldn't be doing that!
I'd start by checking tyre pressures as air is cheap.
Should be 29psi or 200kpa Front and 36psi or 250 kpa Rear. If these are incorrect it will make a big difference to the bikes handling.
You would then check steering bearings, front tyre balance or front to rear wheel alignment, possibly even front fork seals, all these are probably bike shop jobs?
Without sounding like a dick, the most common bike problem I see is underinflated tyres? Let me know how you go and stay safe.
@@CompleteRider Hi. Thank you for responding. I've had a guy from the dealership have a look at it, the tyre pressure was fine. He said that the wobble is normal as I had it in a high gear and the speed was too slow (70+-kph in 4th gear), his bike apparently does the same.
What does your rev view mean? Is the bike score 6/10? What are the disadvantages because you didn't mention any.
The REV VIEW is just a bit of fun. The Red-line is 15 Grand so I gave it 10 Grand, so yes 6/10 would be about right. My channel is not about bagging any bike, I love them all including the 110cc Postie Bike. If it's got 2 wheels and an engine I'll ride it! Only 2 issues with this bike really, it's a bit down on power for an experienced rider but perfect for a newer rider. In saying that the owner is in his 60's and has been riding for 40 years and is pretty happy with it. I'd be more than happy to commute on it though! Number 2 as I mention the mirrors are useless, way too narrow but for a few $$ you can get extenders that solve the problem. Thanks for watching and commenting. Ride safe and Subscribe! 😂
