Unknown characters and a fascinating quote, the suspended atmosphere, the wonderful colors, the music of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, the out-of-scale graphics, the wonderful anime on the TV, lore that flows very quickly through the pixels of the service monitor, the instrumentation on board the spaceship that takes the breath away of those who love sci-fi atmospheres. Music again, we raise the bar by inserting a wonderful track by Pet Shop Boys which amplifies the sense of passion for what we are seeing. A few seconds of gameplay just to make the hype go up to 1000, finally the title with crazy artwork in retro futuristic cyberpunk style, new Naughty Dog logo color, old PlayStation logo. I saw this, this struck me.
Photo-surrealism, in a sense...Well, not the perfect description. ND has an almost imperceptible "cartoonish" touch underneath its photo-realistic palette. Everything looks a bit exaggerated...
The reason there is so much product placement is because I think naughty dog was going for an 80s feel. In the 80s they had product placement and all kinds of movies. So I think naughty dog are trying to capture the exact feeling of the 80s with seeing brands everywhere, and trying to hit that nostalgic bone
I mostly agree but Porsche is an extremely exclusive brand for a niche audience. They designed the ship specifically for the game, which I would imagine took a lot of time and effort. 99.99999999999% of the gaming world aint going out and buying a $300,000 car. If anythiing the fact that Naughtydog can broker a relationship with Porsche for a sci-fi game as well as Trent Reznor (which people conveniently overlook, and who likely wasnt cheap) is actually NaughtyDog flexing some serious muscle

What bothers me so much about some of the discourse around this game are the people saying it's going bomb, it sucks, one other UA-camr called it a "pooh show" and I'm like, "Dude, it hasn't even been released yet and we know next to nothing about this game." The hate is from mostly Xbox fan boys who are mad that they got snubbed for a nomination at the game awards again. Their also mad OuterWolds 2 is coming to PS5, after months of being told it would be a Xbox exclusive. Their furious, and it's clear to see most are Xbox fans if you go threw their comment history. There also the typical wave of anti woke band wagoners who probably wouldn't have bought the game regardless of how the protagonist looked. The most excited I have been about a reveal in years. The aesthetics, technical mastery (the animations especially, are otherwordly), soundtrack, plot details...everything shown here points towrd a memorable experience.
Since this is supposed to be a brand new series from Naughty Dog The title Intergalactic and subtitle The Heretic Prophet for me implies that each new entry/game in the series will probably have a new subtitle and we will be traveling and exploring new galaxies and planets in pursuit of Jordan's bounty hunting quests which is very exciting so many possibilities and potential settings😲🤩
I can see both sides to this game, but on the outside this is more then what the game some people are having problems with. It's the narrative direction these studios, movie producers and media are I guess you can say "pushing" of the LGBT movement. ND already has a bad track record on what Neil did for TLOUS2, came out with tlous remake and sold it for full price, mislead their fans about the game "fraction" and made a TLOU2 remastered, which Sony played a big part on those and now made a female character unattractive aka "stud" like he did in the last game. I guess in better terms. Alot of people, better term "some" people are getting tired of making female characters look butch, stud or masculine. this goes for movies as well. Some, not all of this type of movement, but definitely some needs to stop in my opinion. Do I think this game will flop? No, but I do believe he took alot of the OG fans of ND games to turn their back on this game. A trailer is a first impression on anything, just like looks in a person. I belive this wasn't a good direction for a first trailer release. I myself don't like the direction Neil has gone with his games, but I won't bash it.. I just decided not to purchase it and move on

I feel like she acquired the sword from the planet since it's the same tech as the robots and according to lore no one's left the planet in 600yrs. Also i feel like when she first approaches the robot that it could be looking like a carved totem or something and then transforms into the robot.

It’s sad to consider a game with diversity “bold” nowadays. White, conventionally attractive protagonists are in the overwhelming majority. The one time we get a black woman with a buzz cut, people go crazy. If she’s not fuckable, gamers will cry. It’s highly disappointing that these individuals don’t notice the denseness of their “arguments.” Zero correlation in character aesthetic and story/gameplay sophistication. None. Naughty Dog games have an overwhelming pattern of high quality.

Would you still have watched the first movie of sonic if they didn't change his form/look the way he should be now. Also if he still ended up the way he was when the movie was first revealed would it have sold as big as it had and on its 3rd sequel?

To be honest, I'm quite happy whatever we had with the design that we currently have, after Mania's artist swooping in for the day. Apparently, people are having a protest on it, about 250k+ protesters on this game. Yeah, it's ridonkulous (meaning that they're completely donkeys about this). I think it would sell well, but I don't think a lot of people are going to stop and buy Naughty Dog for this game just because of the character's attitude and design. That's good to hear that your family really enjoyed the films, hoping that you'll love the film then, and have an awesome day and a great day with them. I don’t think the logo on her jacket is Dark Horse-I think it’s a knight from chess. When the camera pans left/down from Jordan’s target board, we can see what looks like 5 red chess pieces. Presumably, they represent her former squad.

I have complete faith in ND, Neil Druckmann, and the whole incredible ND team. I have never been disappointed in any of their games such beautiful amazing experiences all of them. I cannot wait to learn and see more of Intergalactic that trailer was awesome, and Jordan looks so fierce and badass!!!😎🤯 I hope the next trailer/footage/gameplay ND puts out blow's everyone's freaking mind🤯
So far I can’t lie I am very excited for this game. I started playing ND games from last of us 1 and I absolutely loved it on my ps3. I even remember they dropped a demo where we were outside Boston’s in the fallen tower. I instantly loved that game for how detailed and real it was. Looking at this game I feel the same way. It can be really a great opportunity for ND to explore space. Space combat different races and human open world. They can basically make their own Star Wars and I a, sure they can do it better. I loved the last of us part 2 but I will be critical of them. If they really push some agenda on me (so far they didn’t ) then I will call it as it is. So far I a, just excited and hope game comes out sooner than later. I don’t have time to play everything but ND games are always on top of my list. Let’s keep it civil guys and let’s not make fast conclusions. Peace.
After seeing the trailer of Intergalactic, the vibe of the 80s, 90s and the soundtrack typical of American movies... after seeing the graphics and especially that it is a game made by Naughty Dog, I said that another new game will be born! And another big name în industry of gaming made by Naughty Dog! I hope I'm not too euphoric or excited, but it seems to be a serious game and I think it's one of.. If not the best trailer I've ever seen! Naughty dog please don't disappoint us because I, personally from what I saw at the game of the year awards, can say that at the moment it's the game I'm the most interested in of all!
It’s being speculated that the themes of the game revolve around faith and religion & the new world vs. old. Jordan arrives on the planet with a lot of new age pop culture references (product placement) and young attitude. She is confronted by a world and a people who have been confined to that planet for the last several hundred years. Even the song “It’s a Sin” points to heresy of some kind, whether that be from Jordan’s presence there or something else.
I have no doubt the game itself is going to be good. It’s a naughty dog game. I just wish this had a cyberpunk create your own character mechanics. Imagine if they had male and female voice actors and let you make your own character.

It's not all about the shaved head. In short terms, yes the bashing is hard, but there are reasons why it's gotten this big. Some people are tired of movie production, game prediction making/casting stud "LGBT" women and not have women be women and not masculine. After Naughty Dog didn't release anything good since 2017 (uncharted lost legacy) and removing the multilayer in 2019 on uncharted 2/3 and tlou(on ps3) for NO REASON and not bringing it back on the collection...Then released tlou2 which was mediocre at best ,and then 200 remasters and remakes FULL PRICE mind you... And with how tlou2 became more about the sexuality and the typical revenge is bad(and is executed poorly) and the gameplay is the SAME as the first game and sometimes it is boring and repetitive to do that for 20-30 hours!!! Also not delivering tlou2 multilayer was a big foul as well and not giving any updates on anything for YEARS!! After all this l am still afraid and not exited for anything until l see that they actually make a good and fun gameplay along with a good story that isn't about politics or weird sensualitys or any of that crap AGAIN!!! So l will be waiting to see how much Naughty Dog has tried to improve... Though in my opinion unfortunately, l don't think that much will change... Shame because Naughty Dog used to be cool and now it doesn't this way... You can call or tell me whatever you want but l am just sad that they are more focused on everything but fun gameplay and cool stories... I just miss how cool old video games used to be and now they feel most of the time like a typical product to make some extra money...
I agree that games used to focus more on engaging gameplay. Even the trailers were better. Take the "Killzone 3 First Footage - E3 2010" trailer, for example, and compare it to the Intergalactic trailer. In the Killzone 3 trailer, you'll notice that despite its age, the graphics still hold up well. It's only two minutes long yet shows much more about the game than Intergalactic does in four minutes. The main focus of the Killzone 3 trailer was to showcase the action and fun of the game. The focus on the main character, Sev, was only for about 10 seconds initially. The rest of the trailer showcased the game's terrain, gameplay, enemies, weapons, melee combat, aerial combat, and explosions-all the exciting elements. Meanwhile, almost the entire Intergalactic trailer focuses on the main character, who isn't even interesting or visually appealing and seems intentionally made that way, with less than 10 seconds of action shown at the end. It feels like they're trying too hard to make games like movies nowadays. The priority has shifted from games being a fun, exciting experience to something else completely.
Product placement people. I think it’s to help with finding. Death Stranding had it, Intergalactic has it. Sony can’t keep up with these high production budgets alone. This stuff is still a business. Not a “nod” to 80s aesthetic.

Since technically the game has been in development since 2020 so I'm gonna say sometime in 2026. That leaves plenty of time for promotion and to build up the hype. Naughty Dog has also now stated that when they make that initial first announcement that they want the release window to be closer and not to far off.
So, i'm blind and have noticed something no one else it talking about and i find it interesting. I mentioned it on reddit, and people kept saying it's vocal fry or she's a smoker, but I don't think that's right at all. This character played by Hally, has a hitch to her voice on certain words/the end of sentences, does anyone else here it? It sounds to me like she has a sore throat/an infection. Now I know that Hally doesn't usuallly sound like that so it must be a voice choice,. What do you guys think, can you here it?
This game looks great so far. Whether it will be is obviously not going to be determined until it comes out, but so far so good. In regards to the angry, annoyingly loud minority of haters, it is frustrating to see the Karen's of this world act the way they're acting. Sadly it is very transparent that most of the negativity is from the same loud morons that just hate women and black people in games. Add a bald, black woman to a game, and the homophobes come out, too. Just shitty people in general. And anyone who uses terms like "woke" or "DEI" dismissively often lacks a substantive argument and aren't worth engaging with or even listening to.

I absolutely love how ND can make a person look so realistic and not so realistic they look out of place or like a video game character.
Photo-surrealism, in a sense...Well, not the perfect description. ND has an almost imperceptible "cartoonish" touch underneath its photo-realistic palette. Everything looks a bit exaggerated...

The reason there is so much product placement is because I think naughty dog was going for an 80s feel. In the 80s they had product placement and all kinds of movies. So I think naughty dog are trying to capture the exact feeling of the 80s with seeing brands everywhere, and trying to hit that nostalgic bone

I mostly agree but Porsche is an extremely exclusive brand for a niche audience. They designed the ship specifically for the game, which I would imagine took a lot of time and effort. 99.99999999999% of the gaming world aint going out and buying a $300,000 car. If anythiing the fact that Naughtydog can broker a relationship with Porsche for a sci-fi game as well as Trent Reznor (which people conveniently overlook, and who likely wasnt cheap) is actually NaughtyDog flexing some serious muscle

I can see both sides to this game, but on the outside this is more then what the game some people are having problems with. It's the narrative direction these studios, movie producers and media are I guess you can say "pushing" of the LGBT movement. ND already has a bad track record on what Neil did for TLOUS2, came out with tlous remake and sold it for full price, mislead their fans about the game "fraction" and made a TLOU2 remastered, which Sony played a big part on those and now made a female character unattractive aka "stud" like he did in the last game. I guess in better terms. Alot of people, better term "some" people are getting tired of making female characters look butch, stud or masculine. this goes for movies as well. Some, not all of this type of movement, but definitely some needs to stop in my opinion. Do I think this game will flop? No, but I do believe he took alot of the OG fans of ND games to turn their back on this game. A trailer is a first impression on anything, just like looks in a person. I belive this wasn't a good direction for a first trailer release. I myself don't like the direction Neil has gone with his games, but I won't bash it.. I just decided not to purchase it and move on

The one time we get a black woman with a buzz cut, people go crazy. If she’s not fuckable, gamers will cry. It’s highly disappointing that these individuals don’t notice the denseness of their “arguments.” Zero correlation in character aesthetic and story/gameplay sophistication. None. Naughty Dog games have an overwhelming pattern of high quality.

To be honest, I'm quite happy whatever we had with the design that we currently have, after Mania's artist swooping in for the day. Apparently, people are having a protest on it, about 250k+ protesters on this game. Yeah, it's ridonkulous (meaning that they're completely donkeys about this). I think it would sell well, but I don't think a lot of people are going to stop and buy Naughty Dog for this game just because of the character's attitude and design. So far I can’t lie I am very excited for this game. I started playing ND games from last of us 1 and I absolutely loved it on my ps3. I even remember they dropped a demo where we were outside Boston’s in the fallen tower. I instantly loved that game for how detailed and real it was. Looking at this game I feel the same way. It can be really a great opportunity for ND to explore space. Space combat different races and human open world. They can basically make their own Star Wars and I a, sure they can do it better. I loved the last of us part 2 but I will be critical of them. If they really push some agenda on me (so far they didn’t ) then I will call it as it is. So far I a, just excited and hope game comes out sooner than later. I don’t have time to play everything but ND games are always on top of my list. Let’s keep it civil guys and let’s not make fast conclusions. Peace.

After seeing the trailer of Intergalactic, the vibe of the 80s, 90s and the soundtrack typical of American movies... after seeing the graphics and especially that it is a game made by Naughty Dog, I said that another new game will be born! And another big name în industry of gaming made by Naughty Dog! I hope I'm not too euphoric or excited, but it seems to be a serious game and I think it's one of.. If not the best trailer I've ever seen! It’s being speculated that the themes of the game revolve around faith and religion & the new world vs. old. Jordan arrives on the planet with a lot of new age pop culture references (product placement) and young attitude. She is confronted by a world and a people who have been confined to that planet for the last several hundred years. Even the song “It’s a Sin” points to heresy of some kind, whether that be from Jordan’s presence there or something else.
I have no doubt the game itself is going to be good. It’s a naughty dog game. I just wish this had a cyberpunk create your own character mechanics. Imagine if they had male and female voice actors and let you make your own character.

I don't get why there is hate for the game. We haven't even seen much at all about the game or proof of "woke" meterial. Is it because the girl has a shaved head? Anyway, I like the setting/theme. But we'll see what they do with that world before getting too bumbed out.
It's not all about the shaved head. In short terms, yes the bashing is hard, but there are reasons why it's gotten this big. Some people are tired of movie production, game prediction making/casting stud "LGBT" women and not have women be women and not masculine. ND did upset alot of fans, but this unfortunate isn't about seeing gameplay etc. It's the direction Neil has gone with his characters. Unfortunately more videos games studios are doing this, even Disney try to push this.. I just have a feeling this game is gonna get leaks out on it and it's gonna end up as a big mess. After Naughty Dog didn't release anything good since 2017 (uncharted lost legacy) and removing the multilayer in 2019 on uncharted 2/3 and tlou(on ps3) for NO REASON and not bringing it back on the collection...Then released tlou2 which was mediocre at best ,and then 200 remasters and remakes FULL PRICE mind you... And with how tlou2 became more about the sexuality and the typical revenge is bad(and is executed poorly) and the gameplay is the SAME as the first game and sometimes it is boring and repetitive to do that for 20-30 hours!!! Also not delivering tlou2 multilayer was a big foul as well and not giving any updates on anything for YEARS!! After all this l am still afraid and not exited for anything until l see that they actually make a good and fun gameplay along with a good story that isn't about politics or weird sensualitys or any of that crap AGAIN!!! So l will be waiting to see how much Naughty Dog has tried to improve... Though in my opinion unfortunately, l don't think that much will change... Shame because Naughty Dog used to be cool and now it doesn't this way... You can call or tell me whatever you want but l am just sad that they are more focused on everything but fun gameplay and cool stories... I just miss how cool old video games used to be and now they feel most of the time like a typical product to make some extra money...

I agree that games used to focus more on engaging gameplay. Even the trailers were better. Take the "Killzone 3 First Footage - E3 2010" trailer, for example, and compare it to the Intergalactic trailer.
In the Killzone 3 trailer, you'll notice that despite its age, the graphics still hold up well. It's only two minutes long yet shows much more about the game than Intergalactic does in four minutes.
The main focus of the Killzone 3 trailer was to showcase the action and fun of the game. The focus on the main character, Sev, was only for about 10 seconds initially. The rest of the trailer showcased the game's terrain, gameplay, enemies, weapons, melee combat, aerial combat, and explosions-all the exciting elements.
Meanwhile, almost the entire Intergalactic trailer focuses on the main character, who isn't even interesting or visually appealing and seems intentionally made that way, with less than 10 seconds of action shown at the end. It feels like they're trying too hard to make games like movies nowadays. The priority has shifted from games being a fun, exciting experience to something else completely.
The gameplay tlou2 is so mutch better then the first.. Uncharted 4 is the far best game of the franchise. Good Amy is out, she made the trash 3 one..
Product placement people. I think it’s to help with finding. Death Stranding had it, Intergalactic has it. Sony can’t keep up with these high production budgets alone.

Realistically when do you guys think the game will release? I am guessing end of 2026/start of 2027.
Since technically the game has been in development since 2020 so I'm gonna say sometime in 2026. That leaves plenty of time for promotion and to build up the hype. Naughty Dog has also now stated that when they make that initial first announcement that they want the release window to be closer and not to far off.

So, i'm blind and have noticed something no one else it talking about and i find it interesting.
I mentioned it on reddit, and people kept saying it's vocal fry or she's a smoker, but I don't think that's right at all.
This character played by Hally, has a hitch to her voice on certain words/the end of sentences, does anyone else here it? It sounds to me like she has a sore throat/an infection. Now I know that Hally doesn't usuallly sound like that so it must be a voice choice,.

This game looks great so far. Whether it will be is obviously not going to be determined until it comes out, but so far so good.
In regards to the angry, annoyingly loud minority of haters, it is frustrating to see the Karen's of this world act the way they're acting.
Sadly it is very transparent that most of the negativity is from the same loud morons that just hate women and black people in games. Add a bald, black woman to a game, and the homophobes come out, too. Just shitty people in general.
And anyone who uses terms like "woke" or "DEI" dismissively often lacks a substantive argument and aren't worth engaging with or even listening to.
The discourse surrounding this game just seems unfair to me like the unnecessary amount of hate is crazy for some of the smallest of things like one.
The character design is not bad. She looks like a normal woman with a shave head even then naughty dog has been using normal people designs for like forever even then I think she looks attractive and when it comes to diversity and woke. It’s been like that forever since the beginning of like uncharted 1 it’s just a problem now because people are cry babies about this these days, and sometimes I can understand them right because there’s bad games out here like Concord but even then games Concord were just bad in the first place or the Saints Rover reboot that was definitely ruined trash game and cringe millennial writing
And the people whining and crying about product placement brother is a 1980s Retro future all it takes is to look at 80s entertainment and see all the product placement like back in the future with Pepsi and Nike they didn’t put it there to sell you something like for Christ. They don’t even bother doing research even one UA-cam I’ve usually watch was whining about this and overall trashing on the game, even though it’s not even out and we only saw teaser trailer
I personally hyper about this. I love naughty dogs games and they have not missed once in my personal experience so seeing them expand to a new IP after like a decade and it being sci-fi which I love sci-fi, especially with the cowboy bebop and Akira references, you got me there plus it looks like they’re gonna take a whole new direction, especially with the gameplay I’m assuming considering in uncharted and last of us is just your punches and guns, which was good gameplay but this one is going to be different considering you heard they took some inspirations from like from software games
